About: I've lived in a household with dogs and cats since I was born, taking on most of the pet care-taking duties for 15 years. I currently have two cats and a Great Dane at home. I have firsthand experience knowing how our pets are a member of the family and the importance of finding safe and comfortable care for them when we're away. I'm no stranger to large dogs, know that our pups need continual training, and am familiar with special dietary needs. I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule at the moment! I I'm available most evenings and weekends, and all day Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I am comfortable walking dogs of all sizes and cleaning up after them. I have experience with e-collars and know how to use them safely and responsibly. I love playing and cuddling with all cats and know the importance of keeping their litter box clean! I'm very gentle and patient with senior pets. I have lots of practice giving both dogs and cats medications.

About: Growing up with my childhood dog as my best friend, I would’ve put myself down as a dog person, up until the beginning of my adult years. I moved out on my own and 3 years ago I was given a cat. That cat, Mr.Kitty, instantly knew his place in my life. About a year or so later, a baby bunny was abandoned in my care, and I soon realized I was given a new little dude to take care of and love. As well as a new best friend for my cat. To this day they are still inseparable. My bunny, Big Floppa, is deaf, so that adds to the challenge of being a first time bunny owner. I’ve learned to appreciate & understand all the different aspects of having each kind of pet, and that every single pet is different in their own unique way regardless of what kind of pet they are. I have the outlook that each new animal I meet has a blank slate and I let the owner tell me or the animal themselves show me everything I need to know to understand them individually. i am flexible and can work around your schedule :) no need to worry about me, just worry about what you need and when you need it. I am unable to house your pets at my home, but whatever safety measures you do in your home is what I will uphold and whatever else you need from me.

“Karen has always been a very warm and caring person. She has always had a way with animals. She loves them and they love her back. Animals tend to gravitate toward her no matter where she is. I have had several occasions to see first hand how she interacts with pets. She helped my daughter by watching her two dogs while she was away on vacation. She was very attentive to the dogs. They listened to her and followed her everywhere. I also saw her watch her daughters three dogs and she was not only able to handle the situation with ease but made it to where the dogs almost forgot about their mom being gone. The bottom line is that I couldn't think of a person more loving, caring and responsible to watch pets for any of my family and friends. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust to watch their pets.”
