“Lisa took such amazing care of my little Rotisserie. She always shows up on time, takes fantastic pictures, and Rotisserie really appreciated her cuddles and play time! Highly recommend Lisa as a sitter. Thank you again!”

“Kyle and Meagan were fantastic! They took Luna to the park and wore her out for a drop by visit! They sent plenty of photos which I loved! It was nice to know Luna was taken care of while I was at work and before my boyfriend got home. Thank you so much!”

About: I’ve been dog sitting for the last five years. Within my experience, I have only taken care of dogs under the age of 10. I absolutely love to go on long walks with animals! I currently work five days a week, but my work is in the center of my desired sitting area. In my previous sitting jobs, I have been able to take my 30 minute break at work to go check on the animals and let them out. I am normally up really early in the morning and late at night, so your animal will get enough care during the entire day! I care for pets very safe and carefully. I always have my leg first when opening doors to prevent pets from wondering off, and I always double check doors before leaving. I am very responsible when it comes to feeding animals. I also bring in mail/take trash cans out if needed during the sitting! :)

About: I have spent decades caring for dogs—many of them rescues with complex or traumatic histories. I understand that every animal experiences the world differently, and I take the time to learn their individual cues, comfort levels, and needs. I offer in-home pet sitting and structure my schedule around your pet’s established routine. Feeding times, walks, medication, exercise, and downtime are kept consistent to minimize stress while you’re away. I am available for overnight and extended stays. I prioritize clear communication and provide regular updates so you feel confident your home and animals are in good hands.

“Victoria did a wonderful job caring for my two adult male cats and ~8 week old kitten for about 5 days. She was patient and has a keen attention to detail, especially with my helicopter-parent semi-neurotic novel of a instructions write-up. Overall, Victoria did an exceptional job caring for my furry children and I would seek her services again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much, Victoria!!! 🤗”

“My dog had such a great time with Bertie while I was on vacation, she probably didn’t even notice I was gone. Seeing the pictures of their day together made me happy and I will rebook in the future!”

“Bryn was absolutely amazing! She took such good care of my cats, which is not the easiest task since one needs medications. It was a last minute ask and she was available, and jumped in with no hesitation. I honestly am glad that my other sitter canceled because I got to have the best care from Bryn! My only concern is that my cats will miss her to much.”

“My dog was just spayed and very drowsy when she first met my dog, but Daisy got up from resting to greet Michelle; she could sense she was a good person. She did a good job updating the app with all the things she did with Daisy and took a couple photos, which was nice to see while I was away. She is really good with animals and recommend booking her for your animal needs.”

“Nathan was so helpful! He was willing to fit me in last minute. He replied quickly to messages and even called from the house to make sure he took care of everything I needed.”
“Dustin & Allyson did a fantastic job watching our cat! They sent tons of pictures and made sure to communicate how she was doing each day! Dustin was a pleasure to chat with at our meet & greet. We will definitely be using them again in the future!”

“Haley was great! We had her check in on our dog who recently had puppies. We couldn’t ask for better care and communication throughout the process. I highly recommend Haley as a dogsitter!”

“Beth was great! She responded to my request quickly, arrived for a meet and greet on time, and communicated with me consistently. After a very long day, I came home to a happy and relaxed pup.”

About: I have experience caring for dogs in-home, in a pet hotel, and managing on leash fun. I also ample experience working with exotic pets, zoo animals, and wildlife! There isn’t a species I can’t lovingly and competently care for. Mediation Administration, diet management, and special needs care are my specialties. I provide written updates and pictures of your pet having fun after each visit! When I’m not working as a wildlife care professional, I set aside time to care for your pets! I am available on Tuesdays and Wednesday's, and some other mornings. I request a video meet and greet first to determine if we are a good match. Then, I will get detailed care instructions from the pet owner and will follow them to a T! Always making sure to allow some time for lots of animal cuddles.
“Tamara was amazing in a really stressful situation with our pup when he ran outside and hid from her. She was communicative, found a solution, and ensured they were safe and home quickly. We are so thankful knowing she cares for our dogs like they were her own!”

About: I have 2 dogs currently, and have had lots of different pets growing up. I have cat and dog sat for family and neighbors. I have also taken care of and helped out with foster kitties. I am currently working part time in the evenings and doing online school. I am available some full days of the week, every morning, mid day, or overnight. I am currently not able to bring client pets to my home. I am able to go to client houses during the day or overnight as needed.
About: Hi there! My name is Gillian, and I have been taking care of a variety of animals all my life. I've owned dogs, cats, horses, pigs, chickens, and roosters! I love all animals and have an extraordinary talent communicating with them. I have been a dog and cat groomer, and a horse trainer. I am a trainer at heart! I will make sure your furry friend has everything they need, all the exercise and love they could ask for. I exercise my own dogs for a minimum of two hours a day. We go to parks, play frisbee, go to the dog park, and go for long hikes! I also have a nice backyard to play in. I know how hard it is to leave your pet, but you can rest assured I will do everything I can to make sure they have a wonderful and stress free stay! Im happy to watch your furry friend anytime. I have a pretty open schedule currently. Please let me know how I can help! Happy to. I am more than happy to come stay at your home or I can bring them to mine! Either way we’re going for walks! Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
