“I felt comfortable and confident that my two dogs would do well with Charissa. I like receiving pictures of them playing and interacting with other dogs. Charissa’s background with dog training was a real bonus. I will recommend her to other dog owners.”

“Heather & her family were a great match for Mía. From the Meet & Greet, to drop off, asking how to best care for her, and pick up…they were responsive, informative, and caring. Thank you!”

“My husband and I travel most places with our fur babies and finding local Rovers when they can't check-in with us. While we have had good success finding trusting and loving sitters, we really were blessed to meet Mark and Daniel. Their attention to detail prior to our pets arrival, their ability to be flexible when my scheduling mistake was uncovered, but most importantly, the level of care my pups received was top-notch. The home is clean, fenced in large yard and they really love what they do. I don't know if we will be back in that area, but if we are I will re-book with Mark and Daniel.”

“Katina is wonderful with our 13 year old dog. She sends pictures and video and loves to let us know how he is doing. Our senior dog had become quite nervous in his old age but he loves going to Katina and is always excited to see her”
“We LOVE Bertie and family! They take the sweetest care of Piper and make her feel like family. We never have to worry when we leave Piper because we know she will be loved on by everyone- especially their sweet kids! Bertie and family are our go-to sitters and have watched our pup more times than we can count. We can’t speak highly enough! A must use if you want your pup to get the best care!”

“This is my second time taking my pup to Robin and brought along a friends dog for a puppy play date weekend. I felt completely comfortable with Robin and I know my dogs felt the same way. Robin feels like an old friend at this point and will be the only place I bring Ollie now.”

“Svitlana was so great with my high maintenance dog, despite there being a scuffle. She took great care of her and sent videos and pictures through the time she watched my dog.”

“Highly recommend these two, they were so nice and welcoming. My dog looked right at home with them and I had no worries. They send updates and pictures! Would book again!!”

“This was Biscuit’s first time boarding with anyone and Hope’s doggie retreat was perfect for her. She had a playmate Loretta and had snuggles and a comfy bed. Who can beat that when compared to a cage for a week with a lot of barking dogs. We are so grateful - thank you Hope❤️”

“Paula was awesome! We felt very confident with our decision and our pup was very comfortable with her and returned happy. She was also very flexible with our changing schedules. Highly recommend!”

“Tamara and her family were wonderful with my boys. I was nervous leaving them with someone new for the first time. Copper is sometimes unsure of strangers but she assured me he would do just fine. They took great care of them & I felt comfortable leaving them in their hands.”

“Caroline was great with our dog, and was a really nice person to meet and talk to. I can highly recommend Caroline to anyone looking for someone to care for their pet.”

“Paige took excellent care of my dog, Maggie, for over two weeks. She provided daily updates, photos, and videos, which gave me great peace of mind while traveling. Paige was also very helpful and flexible with scheduling, and she kindly accommodated an extension when I requested one. Maggie was treated like one of her own and had an absolute blast with Paige and her puppies. Thank you so much, Paige!”

“Julie and her family did a wonderful job looking after my dog Margarita while I was away for a week. They gave her a lot of attention and love and Margarita loved staying with them. I highly recommend Julie to other dog parents!”

“Jenny was the best dog sitter! She sent multiple photos of Maverick and updates about how he was doing. He was able to get his energy out and run around. I could tell he was happy there just from the photos she sent me! I would definitely book with Jenny again.”

“Vannessa and Will took excellent care of Marley! They sent me lots of pictures and updates and Marley loved playing with Hank and Bennett. We will definitely be back for boarding or daycare days.”

“I Highly recommend Joey! I boarded Piper for three days. After meeting Joey and seeing his multiple fenced yards and runs i was able to enjoy an important weekend without worry.. thanks again and look forward to having Piper there again. Stephen W.”

“I highly recommend Ashley! Barney instantly felt at home with her. I could tell by his calm demeanor in all the pictures she sent. I appreciated how much she updated us throughout the weekend. In addition, she is extremely responsive. If you are looking for a dog sitter, definitely reach out to Ashley!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Zion Crossroads
Katina is absolutely amazing! She takes great care of our dog while he’s there and he comes home happy. Katina is very communicative and provides a great environment inside and outside for our dog. We always feel comfortable going on a trip when we leave our dog with her. I highly recommend Katina and her facility!

Came into town to Charlottesville for a weekend golf trip, Jessica stayed with my pup to ease his anxiety while I was away in an unfamiliar area. She was GREAT with him by playing with him, talking him for lots of walks, keeping him constantly occupied to help keep his mind busy while I was away. She hand fed him when he wasn't eating & she kept in constant communication with me the whole time as well & sent me pics & videos all throughout. Thank you Jessica!!

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
