About: I am a stay at home homesteader that has three rescue doggos that live inside and a guardian livestock dog that spends her days taking care of the farm. We have hatched, raised and spend our days giving all the snacks to almost 50 chickens, 17 guineas, and 6 ducks. We have 2 goats one of which is about to give us a third. I know how hard it can be the travel with peace of mind without your babies with you, and I’d love to be able to help people enjoy your time away from home. Being able to set my own schedule while caring for other animals will allow me the ability to still care for my own animals without pulling time from them. I will do my very best to keep your fur babies routines exactly the same, and love and care for them like I love and care for my own babies.

Josh just started walking my 9 year old pup. He took the time to do a meet and greet and get my old gal use to him. She was already so excited to see him today when for her first walk with him. He takes lots of pics and provides great information. He kind and gentle with animals and is so sweet! Thank you Josh!

About: I love dog sitting 🩷 This is a relax home with a large backyard. I enjoy helping neighbors and friends by taking good care of their fur babies when needed. I have a very friendly Siberian Husky who is always friendly and full of energy. The pets can be kept together or in separate rooms, depending on their behavior. I keep my pets on a feeding schedule but I’m flexible with their playtime and walk time. Working from home allows me to be there for any needs the person might have. My pets are fully vaccinated and I require animals staying over to be up to date with vaccines as well. I have a fenced yard and security system in and out of the house to keep an eye on my pets at all times.

About: I have had dogs my whole life, and I have plenty of experience from not only volunteering at animal shelters but from helping my friends and family during their trips out of town. I've worked with dogs of all sizes and I have a senior dog myself. I have experience walking, bathing, cleaning up after them and feeding them, I am very patient, observant, and willing to help. I have plenty of time to house sit or check-in on your pets during the week, especially near the weekends, I would love to take them for nice long walks around a neighborhood or park. My pets are very kind of well behaved, I have a lot of patience and understanding when it comes to any accidents or mishaps they may cause, I would treat your pets with the exact same care and attention.

About: With 5 years of experience as a veterinary technician, I have a deep understanding of animal care, from cats and dogs to exotic species. I’ve worked with pets of all temperaments—whether they’re energetic and playful or more reserved—and I’m comfortable providing care for animals with special needs or medical conditions. In addition to my veterinary experience, I’ve had the privilege of pet sitting for clients who visit our veterinary hospital, which has given me the opportunity to care for a variety of fur babies in their own homes. I also have experience with exotic animals, having worked at a botanical garden where I cared for a wide range of species. From reptiles to birds and small mammals, I’m familiar with the unique needs and care requirements of different types of animals. Whether you have a cat, dog, or exotic pet, I am fully prepared to provide attentive, reliable care for your pets while you’re away. I have my own fur babies, so I truly understand the trust and love that goes into finding someone to care for your pets. Whether your pets need medications, extra attention, or just a familiar face to keep them company, I’m here to ensure they’re in the best hands possible. I offer flexible and open availability for all your pet sitting needs! Whether you need someone for a few hours, overnight stays, or extended care, I am happy to accommodate. As a pet lover with a background in veterinary medicine, I prioritize the well-being of your pets and can be available on short notice. My schedule is open to fit your needs, so feel free to reach out for any day or time that works best for you and your fur babies! When caring for your pet in their own home, my top priority is ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I understand that leaving your pet can be stressful, which is why I strive to create a calm and familiar environment for them. With my experience as a veterinary technician, I am equipped to handle all aspects of pet care, from following specific routines to administering medications if needed. I believe that safety and trust are the foundation of great pet care. I’ll make sure your pet is always secure in their surroundings, keeping doors and gates closed, providing supervision during outdoor time, and ensuring they are never left alone in unsafe situations. I also make sure to follow any special instructions you provide to ensure your pet’s routine is maintained while you’re away, from feeding times to favorite toys or special cuddles. I treat your home as I would my own, respecting your space and keeping everything neat and tidy. I also offer updates and check-ins to keep you informed and help ease your mind while you’re away. With my experience and genuine love for animals, you can trust that your pet is in the best hands, enjoying their time at home while you’re gone.

About: Caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I currently care for my own dog as well as a flock of backyard chickens, so I understand the importance of keeping pets safe, comfortable, and on their routine. As a full-time paramedic, I’m calm under pressure, dependable, and attentive to detail. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, medication reminders, or simply lots of love and attention, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. I know every pet has a unique personality, and I’m happy to adapt to their individual needs. I work full-time as a paramedic, which means my schedule varies throughout the week. On my days off, I’m available for drop-in visits, walks, and house sitting, and when I’m working, I can often provide care before and after my shift depending on timing. I keep my calendar updated so you’ll always know my availability, and I’m happy to discuss scheduling to find something that works for both of us. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any special instructions before every visit. I’m comfortable administering medications if needed and will always provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. As a paramedic, I’m trained to stay calm in unexpected situations and pay close attention to details, so you can trust that your pet will receive attentive, compassionate care every step of the way.

As of August 2026, there are 2,664 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Youngsport. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Youngsport. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Youngsport.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Youngsport. On Rover:

  • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
