“Allyson was an absolute lifesaver! When my regular sitter was on vacation, she stepped in and took amazing care of my YorkiePoo for 6 days. She came twice daily to walk and play with him, which was such a relief while I was working remotely. From the very first Meet & Greet, my pup was smitten—tail wagging nonstop and showering her with kisses! It’s clear she has a wonderful way with dogs. I couldn’t have asked for a better backup sitter and would highly recommend her to anyone!”

“Lexi has been doing a fantastic job at dropping in during the day to check on my puppy. Winnie just adores having her visit- i can tell! Highly recommend Lexi for anything you need. She’s been great and i plan to keep booking her!”

“Valerie exceeded our expectations caring for our 13 year old dachshund. She spent ample time with him outside and ensured he ate. We enjoyed the updates with pictures which gave us confidence he was in good hands. We highly recommend Valerie and will request she care for our dog the next time we go out of town.”

About: I would love to take care of your pet! I have taken care of dogs my whole life as I have had them as family pets since I was as young as 2. I currently have one dog, my sweet Yoshi, who you can see in some of my photos! (the Chihuahua/Daschund mix) He is my entire world and I only want the best for him. I would only want the best care for anyone else’s pet, the same as my own :) I currently work a regular 8-5 in downtown Indy. If located in the Indianapolis area, I can be available after my shifts end at 5pm, if closer to the Camby area then I can be available closer to 6pm when I usually get home :) On Saturday/Sundays I am open all day! Safety is the most important thing since your pets are your babies. I never assume anything about a dog and if anything you should assume the worst to avoid bad situations. For example, everytime I am watching a friends dog from inside their home, I always check their fenced in small yard for other animals, people, or even holes in the fence before I let them outside just in case. And to ensure safety when walking I always cross to the opposite side of the street if safe to and if not I step far to the side to allow other dog walkers to pass, just in case one of the animals is reactive.
About: Animals are my life and I believe they deserve nothing but the best. I've had 2 years of boarding experience with Indiana's top boarding facility as a team lead. I've had lots of experience with several cats and dogs of varying needs and temperaments. I am very practiced with specific medication administration (including injections and nebulizers), specific dietary needs/restrictions, and animals with a wide variety of special needs (blindness, deafness, mobility issues, diabetes, epilepsy, and senior needs). My dedication to providing animals with the care and attention they deserve knows no bounds. Most of my day right now is spent with my miniature schnauzer, Cocoa. For about 2 years I have devoted a large amount of my time to dog and cat care in a professional facility, from boarding to daycare. I only stepped away because I wanted to pursue an education as a vet tech. Animal care is, in every sense, my passion and career. I like to tailor my care to what will fit both the owner's needs and the pet's needs. Taking time to really get to know an animal and build that trust with them is a MUST. I believe communication is of the utmost importance and something I pride myself on when it comes to owners and their comfort and peace of mind while away from their furry family member. At the end of the day, they aren't just leaving a pet, they're leaving a family member in the care of a stranger. It's my duty to make myself someone you can feel your baby is safe and happy with.

About: I’ve taken care of animals my whole life and grew up around dogs and had many of my own! I am an animal lover and I enjoy taking care of them as it is therapeutic to me. I currently work as an instructional assistant at a school where I work with children who have social and emotional disabilities. I love my job, however, I would love to be able to make this my full time job so I can be home with the dogs all day and be able to homeschool my daughter. If I get enough clientele, I will be able to have even more availability! I can care for your pet just how you would in your home! I will treat your pup like a member of my family and will make sure they are well taken care of.
“Katie has watched our pup multiple times and I can’t say enough good things about her. She’s reliable, communicative and so sweet to our pup. Couldn’t ask for anyone better!!”

About: As an adult, I’ve taken care of four separate dogs. I have experience taking care of senior dogs who needed multiple medications, IV antibiotics and fluids. Most recently, I have trained my current pup to reduce his anxiety with other people. I have potty trained him, leash trained him, taught him basic commands, and give him daily oral medication. I am very patient and like to ensure the dogs comfortability while learning. I currently work four days a week as a nurse, so I will have ample time on the three days that I am off work each week. I treat my pets (and yours) like family. In my role as a mother and a nurse, I take care taking very seriously, and that tends to bleed over into the rest of my life as well.
About: I have taken care of animals all my life, from cats to dogs. I have helped take care of my dogs at home by feeding them, bathing them, cleaning up after them, and administering their medicine. I am a graduate student here and hope to help out on weekends. My schedule can be busy, but I am willing to work around my schedule to best suit you and your pet! I would ensure that it is a safe environment, where dangers such as glass shattering or heavy objects are moved to safe places. I also want to ensure they feel comfortable, so taking the time for the animal to get to know me is important.

About: Hey there! My name is Sarah! I am in the Indiana Army National Guard, am 19 years old, and love animals! I would love to help you out with your babies! I have experience with old and young dogs, giving medication, and house training! I am out of school, I am in the Army National Guard, and typically always having evenings free! I don’t work until around 10am so I can do potty breaks before then! I prefer to stay overnight at your home so I can take care of you pets best! I am okay with feeds, potty breaks, and cleaning up in any way. I can also do medication if you show me how!
“We had Ben drop in on our elderly cat while we were away, and she was well taken care of. She is a bit temperamental, and he adjusted her food accordingly to help with her stomach problems. I'm happy that we had him come over so we had some peace of mind.”

About: I love animals of all shapes and sizes! I have looked after and cared for pets since childhood, and would love to add your pet to my roster! I am a massage therapist working 4 days a week. I am available all day on Wednesdays, and Friday afternoons to take your dog for a walk, feed your cat, or hang out with your furry friend! I am flexible to work with you and your pet to best suit their needs. I can walk your dog in your neighborhood, hang out with them at your house, or take them to my fenced in yard where they can run either by themselves or with my dog.
“Savannah went above and beyond to care for our cats. She was a great communicator and provided many photos and videos. She also gave them extra attention, plenty of play time, and engagement. It was relieving to know someone was so attentive, trustworthy, and already knowledgeable about pets. She also kept the cat space clean!”

“I have booked Bryanna 6 times to take care of my cat, for stays ranging from 3 days to more than 2 weeks. The experience has continued to improve as she spends more time with my cat and understands his needs better. She is caring, and she has gone above and beyond by bringing a few toys from her home to keep my cat entertained when he gets bored with his own toys. She refreshes water, plays, refills food, gives treats, lets my cat out on the patio for fresh air, and helps with grooming. On some visits she was able to spend extra time with him, which I really appreciate. Time and punctuality: It is good to be aware, her visit window can vary based on her schedule.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Young
We absolutely love Shannon! This was our second time having her watch our fur babies, and she was fantastic once again! She sent us fun, thoughtful updates and adorable photos after every visit, which made being away from home so much easier. She made sure both of our cats got plenty of love and attention, and she even managed to handle our more challenging kitty like a pro! It’s such a relief knowing our babies are in great hands while we’re away. We couldn’t recommend Shannon enough and will absolutely continue booking with her. Thank you, Shannon, for taking such great care of our little crew!

Tess did a fantastic job taking care of our cats while we were on vacation. One of our cats has diabetes and she did great administering his insulin. She was very communicative and sent lots of pictures that we very much looked forward to. There were a few things that came up at the house that I needed help with, and she went above and beyond to help out. I was able to relax knowing my kiddos were in great hands. Will 110% book with Tess again!

Sarah was GREAT again!! She's very easy to work with, and takes exceptional care of our pup! She's very patient with our sometimes rambunctious dog, and follows his routines to help keep him calm. She did a great job taking care of our dog and our friends dog, sending lots of picture updates and making sure they were both happy and worn out by the time she left. 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!!

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
