“Sush is cordial and very friendly. She welcomed our Keegan with love and affection. She has a beautiful and ample space for daycare and board. Totally reliable and trustworthy. 5 stars.”

“Leila came to my rescue w/ my last minute request for doggy daycare today. She responded quickly and made my Zoe feel so welcome at drop off. Zoe did not want to leave when I picked her up, which is a first. Leila is a dog whisperer! Thank you for your kindness and the adorable photos. Immediately had peace of mind knowing Zoe was in great care w/ a loving sitter. My girl Zoe can be a bit high maintenance but Leila never made me feel like an inconvenience. I highly recommend Leila to care for your fur baby.”

“Jisoo was wonderful with my dog (again)! He remembered her immediately from our last visit a couple of months ago and was extremely excited to see her. I will definitely be booking daycare with Jisoo again in the future!”

About: Experienced in caring for dogs, cats, and small pets—feeding, walking, grooming, administering medication, and providing loving attention. Reliable, attentive, and comfortable with pets of all ages and needs. I am a full time accountant that works from home with plenty of time and flexibility to accommodate pups needs. I am available weekdays and weekends. I live in a smoke free, child free apartment complex with my husband. I can only care for one pet at the time and I do not have any other pets.

About: I’ve been dog sitting for friends and strangers alike ever since I graduated and moved to DC in 2019! It all started because I had such a deep love for dogs, but was not yet ready to have one of my own. Nowadays, I share an adorable little mutt with my boyfriend, and we split the care for her fairly evenly. Because of this, if you’re interested in boarding your pet, they need to be friendly with other dogs; ours absolutely LOVES them. Otherwise, I am happy to pet sit at your residence. Additionally, I have experience with elderly dog care and will cater to whatever their needs are. I’m a full-time corporate girlie with a flexible, hybrid work schedule. I’m normally in the office 2-3 days/week, but can work from home the entire duration of your pet’s stay, if that is desired. I’m happy to work with you to create the exact level of care and attention you desire for your doggo. Your pet would have free rein of the house while we’re home and would be kept in a separate room/ crate than our dog when we’re away. We do have a yard, although it’s not fenced in, so we let our dog run around on a 50 ft leash in the backyard; we could do the same for your dog!

“Katerine and Brian did a great job watching Mia, and she enjoyed her time with them. She got to interact with other small dogs they were watching and was spoiled with a lot of snuggle time. Katerine also took some Christmas-card-worthy photos of Mia. Would happily leave Mia with Katerine and Brian again.”

“Fiona was great and I’m glad she was able to take Jäger when my request was made a little last minute. Jäger is high energy and was exhausted when we got back home which is amazing. He’s usually a little high energy in his first day somewhere new and i feel he was in great hands! I’ll definitely use Fiona again!”

“Simone was super communicative and easy to work with! This was my first time using Rover and she made it so painless for me! She took pictures and videos of my dog, and when I was running late for pick up she was happy to accommodate me. Will definitely be using her again!!”

“Maiya was wonderful. She took care of Mochi for the whole week. She walked her and made sure she was cared for and happy. Loved getting her pictures; they were so cute! Thank you so much Maiya!!!”

About: Hi, I am a stay-at-home dog mom for the summer! My boyfriend and I have a lifelong love for dogs of all sizes and breeds. We both grew up caring for pets and I’ve also volunteered at an animal shelter, where I helped with everything from giving love and attention to assisting with hygiene needs. Now, we’re excited to open our home to care for your furry family members. We live in a clean, cozy apartment in Ballston near Quincy and Oakland Parks—perfect for long strolls and playtime in nature. Whether it’s fetch, walks, or cuddles on the couch, we make sure your dog feels at home and gets plenty of love and attention. We have a flexible schedule to give your pup the care and companionship they need throughout the day. We’re committed to keeping up with your dog’s regular routines and providing a safe, calm, and happy environment. Whether you’re looking for boarding, walking, or just a loving place for your dog to spend the day, we can’t wait to meet your pet and give them the care they deserve! I am currently available throughout the week and some weekends. I will be available mostly during the week and the weekends for walks, home visits, and boarding. I have a safe, cozy, dog-friendly apartment along with a playful and friendly pup who loves other dogs. I will provide a loving and playful experience with your companion, treating them like my own.

“Rebecca and her family have treated Wylie with such care on multiple visits now! She’s extremely reliable and flexible with our schedule. Wylie enjoys spending time in her house and backyard too! We will definitely request her again for dog sitting in the future.”

I’ve raised two dogs of my own and currently live with a much-loved cat. What sets me apart is my calm, patient approach and deep understanding of animal behavior. I’m also experienced with basic puppy training and feel comfortable administering medication when needed. I treat every pet like family—with plenty of love, consistency, and attention to detail—because I know how much they mean to you. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I plan my schedule around the needs of the pets I care for—whether it’s daily walks, feeding schedules, playtime, or simply keeping them company. I’m organized, flexible, and committed to giving each pet the time and attention they deserve. Caring for animals isn’t something I squeeze in—it’s something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize every day. --- Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, their safety and comfort come first. Kerstyn A.Star Sitter
“Kerstyn is my preferred animal and house sitter whenever I go away. She is a responsible adult that I trust and my animals love her. I know that my furry loved ones are getting attention, exercise and being cared for properly. My dog is a complete traitor and although he had a whole king sized mom and dad bed to himself, he snuggled in with Kerstyn in the guest room on the smaller bed. She took him on a fun fall field trip and he got to go to the park and get treats. I think he'd be ok if I went away more so he could have his friend over! I'm actually giving her information to my neighbors across the street who are seeking someone to come and stay over with their 2 large dogs.”

Yorktown dog parents share their Rover experiences
Allison responded to a last minute request and was much appreciated. She was taking care of another pup and Saint had a great time with him from the pics i received. Her husband was super nice! More updates would definitely be appreciated would use Allison again!

Miryam took great care of our dog, Koby! He is very shy with new people and she did a great job of making him feel safe with her. By the end of his time with her we could tell he felt comfortable, which was a huge relief for us! We already have her booked to care for Koby again.

Fiona was great and I’m glad she was able to take Jäger when my request was made a little last minute. Jäger is high energy and was exhausted when we got back home which is amazing. He’s usually a little high energy in his first day somewhere new and i feel he was in great hands! I’ll definitely use Fiona again!

Courtney is truly the BEST! She watched our 5-month-old puppy Leo while I was at work, and I couldn’t have asked for a more loving, reliable sitter. Every day, she gave him so much attention, playtime, and cuddles—he was literally wagging his whole body every time she showed up! 🐶💛 As a puppy, Leo can be a bit of a handful, but Courtney was so patient and sweet with him. She kept him on his routine, sent me the cutest updates, and made my workdays so much less stressful knowing he was in such good hands. I’d come home to a happy, tired, and very loved little pup 🥹 I feel so lucky to have found someone who truly cares. Thank you, Courtney, for treating Leo like your own! I am so grateful for you 🐾✨

Hallie is spectacular- she was available on short notice, and we were even able to set up a meet-n-greet before the scheduled sitting! Our pup Lalou (who is historically an excellent judge of character) took to her immediately! Lalou seemed comfortable during the meet-n-greet, even wanting to show off her skills to Hallie lol. On the day of the sitting? Hallie was communicative and sent us several pictures, each with Lalou looking super happy! She even managed to take Lalou to a nearby park with a stream, which is Lalou’s happiest place to be. I can’t thank Hallie enough and would DEFINITELY book her again if we’re back in town.

Lina has always been so amazing to Reed and he is always so excited to go over there. She has great outdoor space at her house and is always willing to take him on fun hikes/adventures. Highly recommend for active dogs and feel very comfortable with her as a repeat dog sitter.
