About: I have taken care of dogs ever since I was a little girl. Big, small, fluffy, energetic, you name it, i’ve done it. My family is full of animal lovers and I want to spread that love to other people’s animals as well. I have had every variaron of dog you can think of and they’re always my best friend. I do love cats as well, especially if they’re cuddly! My parents gave me responsibility of walking, feeding and bathing our dogs ever since I was 10-11 years old and I’ve loved doing it ever since. I currently work part time and am a student at UCDavis! I am graduating this year so I will have pretty open availability in the summer. My most free days are Wednesday-Thursday, with some availability on the weekends. I currently have a German Shepherd and she is an amazing dog. I try to take her on a a walk at least once a day and save time to play with her in our yard when I get home. When it comes to clients home's, I am a very quick learner and comfortable with doing what care is needed requested by the owners for each pet.
About: I have lived with pets all my life and have over 6 years of professional experience in all kinds of animals (including but not limited to) birds, reptiles, and amphibians. I have 1 green cheek conure, 1 desert tortoise, 2 cats, and 1 dog myself. I can medicate your animals, but also help with training, exercise, grooming, and other enriching or basic husbandry care. I’ve recently moved to Woodland to help my sister with her kids, which leaves me some time for myself but not enough for a full time job. That’s where pet sitting comes in for me. Animal care is an important thing to me, and I love to know I’m helping your pet live their best life. Most pets will be comfortable in their own home so I can make house trips at least twice a day, perhaps more depending on where you are located respective to me. If you’d like me to take your little one into my own home, we can talk about it and go from there :)
About: Cats and dogs have been a part of my family since I was born, so I am very knowledgeable of their needs. Along with my experience with my own pets, I have been entrusted by friends and family to walk, feed, and play with their pets while they were away many times. I have taken care of senior cats and puppies as well. I am a grad student at UC Davis, and my work schedule is flexible. I have ample availability and flexibility in my schedule. I am only in class Tuesdays and Thursdays. I cannot care for pets in my home unfortunately. However, I am available to care for your pets in your home if that is something you need.
About: Dogs have always been family to me. When I care for your dog, I treat them with the same patience, respect, and affection that I give my own. I am a dog trainer with experience using positive reinforcement, reading canine body language, and building trust with dogs as individuals. My experience comes from years of hands-on care, training my own dogs, including my service dog, volunteering with rescues and shelters, and learning from every dog I have had the privilege to know. What makes my care different is that I pay attention to the little things. I am someone who notices changes in behavior, possible ear concerns, nail or coat issues, discomfort, or anything unusual that an owner should know about. My goal is not just to supervise your dog, but to truly care for their well-being and communicate with you. I have experience with dogs of many sizes, breeds, and personalities, from small dogs around 4 pounds to large dogs over 90 pounds. I have cared for bully breeds, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Goldendoodles, Poodles, rescue dogs, senior dogs, and dogs with special medical needs. Caring for my own Golden Retriever with myasthenia gravis and megaesophagus taught me the importance of patience, careful routines, and individualized care. I also have grooming experience, including bathing, brushing, nail trims, ear cleaning, and coat maintenance. I enjoy helping dogs feel comfortable and cared for. When appropriate, I love adding personal touches, such as sending dogs home with a toy or making homemade treats. I always check for allergies and dietary needs first to make sure everything is safe for your dog. I believe dogs need both physical exercise and mental enrichment. Depending on the dog, our day may include walks, fetch, training games, agility activities, puzzle toys, and playtime designed around their personality and energy level. My home is a dog-friendly environment where I focus on safety, comfort, and making dogs feel at home. Since I have a senior service dog, I take introductions seriously and make sure every dog is a good match for my home. My goal is simple: when your dog is with me, I want them to feel loved, understood, and cared for—not just watched. Pet care is an important part of my daily routine. I care for my own dogs in the morning, so I am usually available after 11 AM. Tuesdays and Thursdays are great days for daycare since I am home and able to provide attention, playtime, and companionship. I also take an evening break around 6:30 PM for my dogs’ dinner routine and am usually available again after 8 PM. I am happy to work with each client to find a schedule that fits both their pet’s needs and my availability. My goal is to provide reliable, loving care while making sure every dog feels comfortable and happy. I am a positive reinforcement dog trainer, and I use my knowledge of dog behavior to provide safe, patient, and understanding care. I focus on building trust with each dog by learning their individual personality, comfort level, routines, and needs. Safety is one of my top priorities. I am someone who pays attention to the details and notices changes that may be easy to miss, such as changes in behavior, possible ear concerns, nail issues, skin irritation, coat problems, or anything that seems unusual for that dog. I always communicate with owners if I notice something concerning so we can work together to decide the best care for their pet. I have grooming experience, including bathing, brushing, nail trims, ear cleaning, and coat maintenance. I enjoy helping dogs feel comfortable and cared for, and I understand that regular grooming is an important part of a dog’s overall well-being. I have created a dog-friendly and senior-friendly environment in my home. I have ramps, orthopedic beds, and accommodations to help small dogs, senior dogs, and dogs who may need extra support feel comfortable. I also keep dog first aid supplies available and take safety seriously. I have two furry friends of my own who enjoy keeping other dogs company and providing opportunities for safe play and companionship. Because I have a senior service dog, I take introductions seriously and make sure dogs are a good personality match before daycare or boarding. I also use separate feeding areas and safe separation when needed to help prevent stress and protect each dog’s space. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect your space and leave things the way I found them. I make sure your pet’s routine, comfort, and care are my priority. My goal is to create a safe, positive, and welcoming experience where every dog feels understood, loved, and truly cared for.
“Elise is collaborative, communicative, and amazing with my dog! Because she has so much experience with vet medical and dog training stuff, she had totally eased mine and my dog’s transition to a new city. I highly recommend her if you’re looking for more than a just a potty break walk around the block. She really cares about helping these animals become their best selves, and it’s lovely.”
About: I have always had a passion for animals and it seems they’ve always been drawn to me! Growing up my mom owned a small pet sitting business. We took care of dogs, cats, birds, even an entire farm. Over the years of helping my mom and pet sitting on my own, I’ve gained plenty of knowledge and patience for all furry friends! I have my own small business as a licensed esthetician, so whenever I don’t have clients scheduled, I am totally free to play with your pets! I have a 1 bedroom apartment with a small yard that has public access. I live with my 3.5 year old male cat, but he is very tolerant of dogs! Pet friendly space for your furring friends to visit!

About: I have always had a dog or some sort of animal around my home since I was a kid but know how difficult it can be to sometimes balance having adult responsibilities and take care of your pets, so I’m here to offer a way that you can have your life AND know your pet is always loved and cared for even when you’re away. I myself have a dog reactive dog and semi-stranger reactive dog so I am comfortable working with reactive dogs! My cat is now in remission but was diabetic so I am comfortable and knowledgeable in caring for diabetic pets. My history with caring for animals has been taking care of my own through a variety of things, and when staying with friends I have assisted them with their 13+ dogs along with other animals. I have worked in the veterinary field for a year at a large specialty GP/ER clinic so am familiar with health care for pets. I am very attentive to animals and am careful to notice anything out of the ordinary so you know your animal is in safe hands. In addition to my own dog and cat, I've also owned & cared for horses for 10+ years and have 4 snakes as well as arachnids if you find yourself needing care for more unique pets! I am a college student so have a slightly more flexible schedule & just have requirements to be able to care for my own dog, cat and horse but am able to add in your pets comfortably! I understand during drop in visits and walks you want to make sure your pets are getting maximized attention and energy requirements fulfilled and I am hear to do that for you!

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
