“Sarah has always been reliable! We prefer to only ask for her services when traveling out of town. She gives us peace of mind that our cat is being well taken care of and considers that we love to see picture and video updates of our baby!”

“Ellie did a great job watching my 3 cats. She took the initiative to set up a meet and greet beforehand, and was very responsive, professional, and polite. When I returned from my weekend trip, it was clear that she had cleaned the litter box thoroughly each time she checked in. The cats were happy, healthy, and well taken care of. I would highly recommend her if you are in need of cat care.”
“Shelby was fantastic. She took very good care of Parker and communication was excellent! Definitely would recommend her and will definitely be using her again to watch Parker when needed. Thank you Shelby!”

About: I have been around cats and Dogs my whole life. I'm willing to get to know you and your fur babies. I'm the proud pet parent of two lovely cat boys, Dusty and Babaloo (I love Lucy lore 😊). I also have experience with different kinds of dogs. I'm available on weekday from 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm (later if needed). On weekends I'm usually off from work so I'm available any time. I'm more than happy to care for your pet at your home. I know pets feel safer in the their own home /environment. I will work with you and follow your directions because no one knows your pet more then you do.
“Justine was absolutely wonderful. My cat is very shy, and usually hides from Catsitters and other people she doesn’t know. She did not hide from Justine, which I see as a major good sign. Justine also made a game with my cat of hiding the treats I said to give her so my cat could find them, which helped keep my cat entertained. I would absolutely hire Justine to watch my cat again!”

“She did an amazing job! Loved all the love and attention I for the animals that I could easily see come through in the photos. I’ll definitely use her next time I need to travel!”

“Watching my cat clan is basically a full-time job, so I’m impressed! 😂 Alexis handled all of their different personalities, attitudes, and general cat chaos like a pro. I got updates, everyone was happy and well cared for, and my house was still standing when I got back — a win all around! I would absolutely book again and definitely recommend her to anyone.”

About: I have grown up with both cats and dogs- all sizes and ages. I helped my father train dogs for his business. I also have a service dog at home who is trained and got certified. I have my own cat baby who I’ve had since we were both young. I currently do work part time as a customer experience associate but my hours are very set normally and can be flexible with proper notice. Before being left alone with your pets I would like to do an in home visit to meet everyone and go over routines and where everything goes.
About: Yo! I'm Alex and I'm 20 years old. I don't have to much experience with dogs but I'm a pretty chill dude. I spend most of my days at home making smooth music full-time and id love to watch some dogs because as a kid I never really had a dog but always wanted one. My pet care experience is pretty much down to watching my sisters cat which I did for a whole year. I only recently started watching a dog and it was such a great experience that it made me really want to watch more dogs during the time that i have. That experience really made me love dogs a lot. Thanks for reading my about me. Stay blessed and have a great day today. As a work-from-home audio engineer, my flexible schedule allows me to give pets the attention and care they need throughout the day. Your furry friend will always have company! I provide a safe and fun environment for pets in my home, with a fenced yard for playtime, frequent walks for exercise, and plenty of space in my large basement. I also have a cozy room for your pet to relax and feel at home!
About: I love pets, and a great walk. I just lost my pup recently so I think this would help. I have a genuine heart, time and patience for your pets. I have taken a pet through general puppy training, and I have also administered shots for an ill pup. I own 2 cats so I love a feline as well. ❤️ About me, I am easy going, trustworthy, caring and kind. I am very detail oriented and observant which I believe are key traits in caring for pets. And I’ll bring the treats! I’m very flexible currently, name the time and I can put on my schedule. I am in easy to work with, and will be on time I care for my pets as if they are kids. They have the bed, treats, food and all the snuggles they need. I did have a pet with diabetes and so I can do shots if necessary
“Victoria was great! She stayed at my house with my cat for a week while I was out of town with family. Super sweet and my cat loved her. Very communicative: I got daily photos and updates to give me peace of mind while away.”

About: I’ve owned dogs and cats. We do tend to spoil them. I have lots of room for them to run and play in our fenced in yard. We walk them on a leash through our nearby cemetery. I currently work part time with Amazon flex. I will always be available if I have any pet jobs as Amazon flex is very flexible. I’m available for home and pet sitting. I work part time teaching yoga throughout the week and have lots of availability. I only have custody of my kids every other week making my week without them a great time for extra hours and house sitting. I keep pets from being hungry, thirsty, or bored. I keep pets nicely groomed and their areas and things nicely cleaned. I offer direct focus and affection. I can walk or run with dogs. I love doing yoga on the floor and watching cats or my rabbit climb all over me and get affection.

About: Ive never known a time I didnt have dogs and cats. I have experience working with large breed working dogs as well as smaller dogs and everything in between. The only dogs that intimidate me are Rottweilers and chiuahahas! I love cats. I have extensive experience with fish and some birds too. I currently have 2 conures. I have a saltwater fish tank and a fresh water betta tank so I can easily care for your fish as well. I have a german shepherd pup myself and shes super friendly. I dont have to bring her around your pets. I let her outside about wvery two hours to play. We play ball and fetch. When the weather is good we go on long walks or hikes in the woods. I currently use a wireless gps fence for my dog. In your home I would certainly rely on a fence or a leash. I would not want to be responsible for an injury to your fur baby.
About: I've had dogs my entire life, so caring for them comes naturally. I currently share my home with Jill, my sweet 11-year-old mixed-breed dog. She's medium-sized, very friendly, and enjoys meeting other dogs. I know every pet has their own personality and routine, and I'll make sure yours feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Pets are welcome on the furniture and even on the bed if that's what they're used to at home. Since I'm home throughout the day, I can provide plenty of attention, frequent potty breaks—even as often as every hour if needed—and lots of playtime, cuddles, and companionship. I'll also send regular photo updates so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. My goal is to treat every pet like family and make your time away as stress-free as possible. I'm home throughout the day, which allows me to provide plenty of attention and care for your pet. I'll also send regular photos and updates so you can relax knowing your pet is in caring hands.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
