“Rebecca is caring, responsive and great with communication. My elderly dog really likes her and she took the time to make him feel comfortable and meet his needs. I have already booked her services for another visit.”

About: I’ve had various pets since I was about 4 or 5 years old. Early on it was a variety of cats and then in 2003 we brought home JJ, our beloved long haired dachshund who lived for 17 long years. Throughout JJ’s life I encountered the full spectrum of pet care. Everything from the daily routine of feeding, bathroom breaks, playtime etc to more challenging health issues involving his mobility. After JJ passed in 2020, I did not have a pet of my own but tangentially helped with our friend’s cats, ferrets, rats, and birds. In 2022 we brought home my current pet, a tiny Tortishell cat named Nyx who is the sweetest creature to ever exist. I also often pet sit for our friend who has an elderly dachshund and a large cat. I work full time Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5pm but I am more than able and willing to make time before work or after work to help take care of the wonderful critters we call our pets! I also am more than happy to set time aside on the weekend as long as my schedule allows for it and I have enough notice. As of now my main goal is to take care of pets either at a client’s home or designated area that they wish (park, backyard, etc). But I am incredibly respectful of other people’s space as I would want the same from someone entering my home. I also believe strongly in respecting any animal’s boundaries, personal space, and personalities and will do everything in my power to make sure they receive the best care possible and leave the space/area as clean as it was when I arrived. The animals deserve just as much respect as the humans involved!
About: I have a large home with a large back yard, great neighbors with great pets of their own to play with. We recently lost our dog so we have some extra space in our hearts and home. I am currently working from home and would love some company while doing so. Come join me ***Please Note: All care will be given by me only. Other members of the house may play only I currently only have cats that will completely ignore any dogs coming in. I would take directions from you on how your fur baby likes to be cared for. As a 60 year old I have come to realize I am not equipped to board foster or shelter dogs.
“Jennifer is incredible!! She came and helped me very last minute and my dogs absolutely loved her. She is kind and caring and played very well with the pups! Would recommend her to anyone!”

“Sharon & James took great care of our two dogs while we were away! They sent lots of pictures and updates after every visit, which we really appreciated. Communication was great from the meet-and-greet through the last drop-in. We had some pretty nasty storms while we were gone, and they went above and beyond by bringing our packages inside, keeping us updated, and making extra efforts to get the dogs outside. We came home to two happy pups and look forward to booking with Sharon & James again. Highly recommend!”

“Corey was very communicative, prompt, and flexible which we really appreciated. Our cat seemed to warm to her very quickly! Would recommend and hire again! Thanks Corey :)”

About: I've had animals my entire life, with my first pet being a rabbit named Angel! For the past three years, I've worked professionally in animal care, gaining experience with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs. I'm also experienced in caring for a variety of small animals, including rabbits, rodents, reptiles, and birds in both a professional and personal setting. I am Fear-Free certified and have an in-depth understanding of canine body language and regularly work with dogs that have handling sensitivities, food or resource guarding behaviors, and stranger or dog reactivity. My experience also includes working in zoological settings, and I currently care for dogs, cats, and small animals in an animal shelter. I have a deep respect for every animal I meet and strive to provide compassionate, attentive care to everyone—from the tiniest mouse to the largest Great Dane. Reptiles hold a special place in my heart, so you can trust that I'll love and care for your scaly babies as if they were my own! I work professionally in animal care three days a week and would love to spend my extra time helping care for your fur, feathered, and scaly companions! As a Fear Free Certified animal care professional, I use low-stress handling techniques and adapt my approach to each pet's individual personality and needs. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, or has special behavioral or medical considerations, I'm committed to providing calm, compassionate care. I'll always follow your care instructions closely and keep your pet's routine as consistent as possible while you're away. You can also expect regular updates and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. I require an in-home meet and greet with all new dog friends to make sure they're comfortable with me entering their space while you're away.
“Joni was great. I was nervous leaving my cats home. They dont do well being on their own for extended periods. Joni played with them and cuddled with them. She also had no problem, on short notice, feeding them the last day as my neighbor could not. The cats are happy and so am I.”

“This was our first time using Rover and we are happy with our experience with Shaunna! Definitely going to rebook her the next time we need a dog sitter! She was so kind when we met her in person, my dog and my little daughters liked her. Shaunna was communicative throughout the whole week we were gone, she took pictures and went above and beyond. She brought Estee out to use the restroom, went on walks, gave medication, refilled her water bowl, and gave her lots of cuddles. We are very thankful for her taking care of our sheltie Estee!”

“Skylar lets my dog out at lunchtime 3 days a week and he enjoys her visits. She was helpful when a bandage came off a minor injury that my dog had. Overall she has been reliable and responsive.”

About: I have been taking care of animals since I was a small child; constantly rescuing, nurturing and loving animals in need! I have compassion for all animals, big and small, but have a special place for dogs in my heart. If your dog is to board with me I will treat them as if they were my own. I want them to be as comfortable in my home as possible, so that means keeping them on the same schedule they follow at your house, letting them on the furniture and giving them lots of attention and nurturing. I firmly believe all animals deserve to be treated with respect and kindness. I also enjoy exercising - especially running and hiking!! I'm enthusiastic to hike, walk, walk/jog or run with your dog depending on their size, age and health. I love nothing more than starting and ending my day with exercise and having a pup to accompany me. I live with my husband who is an avid dog lover and currently works from home, so he is here almost all hours throughout the day and loves to help out with the dogs. So no worries about your dog not getting enough exercise! Will get plenty here. I am a stay at home mom, so I am always home! Your fur baby will never be left alone here! I am always here throughout the day, so whatever your fur baby needs, I am available for! My son LOVES dogs, so they will fit it amazing here! I treat every dog as if they're my own. They will get treated like kings/queens with us! Whatever your normal schedule is, I will do my best to recreate that for them.
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a kid. We have always had at least one dog in the house if not more. In the past 6 years I have helped my parents to puppy train twice. I love dogs unconditionally, but I am not afraid to show a little tough love when needed. I’m currently going back to school and attend a lot of local sporting events but I still make it a priority to take my dog for a walk daily. Whether we fit in a walk before I leave in the morning or in-between class and a game, I know how much she loves her walks. I also make sure to give her ample play time when I am home. I make sure that whether the pet is in a fenced in yard or not I am always keeping an eye on them when outside. I always respect the clients wishes regarding their animal being on furniture, in what rooms, and such on.
“Carla was fantastic, providing loving care to our fur baby and reassuring updates to us, with many pictures. She was responsive, prompt, and respectful of our property. Would definitely use Carla again.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
