Monica was a wonderful sitter for our two big dogs! She sent plenty of pictures unprompted, which is always nice, and left the house tidy and clean. Would highly recommend her!

Ayla is FABULOUS. We have used Rover many times and have had great experiences, but Ayla is above and beyond!!! We have four fur babies who can be A LOT. Not only did she love on them, but she went above and beyond through the experience. Just a beautiful person inside and out and I’m so grateful to have found her!!!!!!

Hannah aka Mikki house sat for us and watched our mini dachshund. We did a meet and greet a few days prior to our trip (which we booked with her on short notice) and she was so great with Banjo, even totally unphased by his typical dachshund barking. She seems to truly love her job and love animals. She checked in while we were out of town and sent pictures. This was hands down the best experience we’ve ever had with a Rover sitter and we will absolutely be booking her again.

About: Hi! My name is Ava and I've been taking care of dogs, cats, and all kinds of other animals for the better part of my life. I've always loved working with animals and have switched between all the different animal related career fields :) I'm hoping to do this full time so I can give as much care as possible to your babies! I have experience with all different types of temperaments and personalities, and guarantee to always give dedicated time to each and every one of your pets. I promise to always take care of them like I would my own, and they'll receive the best care possible! I would love to do animal care full time, so I typically have a very open schedule! I'm free most days and nights, so just message me when you're looking for and I'll most likely be able to make it work! When caring for your pets in your home, I always take great care in making sure I respect the rules given and the space, as well as your fur baby! If they'll let me, I always make sure your fur baby doesn't miss out on ANY love. I love taking pictures or videos to send to parents and will provide regular updates, if needed! I promise to keep my eyes on your four legged friends and a phone on me at all times as well. If there is an emergency or complication, I will message you ASAP.

About: Hi! I am Shoshanna and am a Star Sitter! Discounted rates for Summer! I am a mature, responsible, faith based woman, a pet owner for most of my life and boarder for almost two years!!! I have had many happy clients and repeat clients with dog boarders and drop in visits, with all positive reviews. I live near MTSU. I love walking dogs leashed around my large yard or on the sidewalks. I have owned dogs and cats for over 17 years, grew up with them and have been using Rover for almost two years as a dog boarder/walker and drop in visits for other animals - cats, tortoises. I love animals and will take care of them as my own. I have had many repeat clients since I take such great care of the dogs that board with me and the dogs love their staycation, free roam, no kennel unless needed by the owner. Check out the reviews. I work part time, a few hours in the mornings or evenings and then am home. I like to leash walk the dogs around the yard or sidewalks (10 minutes a few times a day).. For walks, I keep dogs on the leash at all times for safety so can use an extended leash if that works. I do have a 30 foot and 45 foot secured leash line that I can place a dog on so they can walk around the yard, which will monitored by me, not left alone. I have a nice 2 bedroom home and dogs are allowed on the couch and bed, feeding is kept separate for each dog, and I monitor feeding times, water bowl is in the living room, and I have plenty of poop bags. Also for safety, I have an AirTag that can be placed on the collar especially if your dog is a runner etc. Safety first for your fur baby. Plus I have plenty of outside space, a large yard to walk them around and across from my home with a leash plus a 30 foot or 45 line for the yard so can be free to roam, and I’ll be out there with them.

Shelley is wonderful!! I was a nervous wreck leaving my pups for the first time and she provided frequent check ins and pictures. Our pups clearly had a great time because they were worn out when we got home! She was so kind and thorough and had our pups’ best interest in mind the entire time. Our puppies can’t wait to see her again!

About: I have been around animals since I was 3 years old and have experience caring for dogs and cats. I also have extensive experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with special abilities, including those with epilepsy, mobility challenges, and hip issues. While I can absolutely care for cats, I am mildly allergic to them, so I unfortunately can't give them as much hands-on affection as I would like. However, I am experienced with feeding cats, refreshing water, cleaning litter boxes, and making sure they are happy and well cared for. I genuinely love animals and will treat your pets like family while you're away. I'll also make sure to send you plenty of photo updates so you can see how your furry baby is doing! As a graduate student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable pet care throughout the week. My classes are balanced with independent study, giving me plenty of time for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, feeding, and overnight care. Whether your pet needs a quick potty break, extra exercise, or someone to keep them company while you're away, I'm happy to work with your schedule. I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and making sure every pet receives the attention, care, and love they deserve. When caring for pets in a client's home, my goal is to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I know pets are most comfortable in a familiar environment, so I follow your instructions closely regarding feeding schedules, medications, walks, playtime, and any special care they may need. Safety is always my top priority. I make sure doors, gates, and fences are secure, keep a close eye on your pet during walks and outdoor time, and ensure they always have fresh water, a clean space, and plenty of attention. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with special abilities, including those with epilepsy and mobility or hip issues, so I'm comfortable providing extra patience and care when needed. I'll treat both your home and your pets with the same respect and care that I would my own. You'll receive regular updates and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for while you're away.

From the first time I messaged Tonya, things went very smoothly. Tonya took great care of my dogs while I was away and I'm sure they enjoyed the daily walks they took with her. She did a great job of keeping me updated while I was away and, as a result, I enjoyed my vacation and did not worry about my dogs or my house. I came home to a neat home that included two, happy and well-cared for dogs! If you're looking for a responsible person to care for your pets, I highly recommend Tonya!

Alexus was fantastic! This was the first time I had to have a sitter, aside from my family, for Beanie. We were taking a short little vacation and needed someone to stay at the house with her. I didn't want to board her anywhere because she is still a bit skittish, esp on certain floors. The first day, Beanie threw up and had diarrhea. Alexus messaged me right away and took great care of her. We think she just got herself a little too anxious and was fine after that. Alexus gave daily updates with pictures so I know Beanie was well taken care of. She was very sweet and very respectful of my house and left it just as it was in I left it. I will definitely be using her again! Thank you, Alexus, for taking great care of the Beans!

Cydney is my favorite rover I’ve used so far. She stayed at my house for four days and watched my two dogs. I came home to a clean home with two happy, well fed doggies. She was so sweet, responsive, and followed my long list of detailed instructions. I was stress free my entire trip. I havn’t felt like that with other rovers. I will definitely be using Cyd again and referring her to my mother as well.

FAQs for House Sitting - Yearwood Addition

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Yearwood Addition on Rover is $32.1 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 1,204 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Yearwood Addition. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Yearwood Addition walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Yearwood Addition maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Yearwood Addition choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Yearwood Addition. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
