“Ayla is wonderful! Our dogs love her, and she treats them very well. She checks in daily with photos, and she takes great care of our home as well. We highly recommend her!”

About: I will treat your pet like family and make sure they are happy and well taken care of. I want to be someone you and your pet can rely on. I’ve dog/cat/house sat for many people many times and I’ve built a connection with each human and animal different than any other. I work as a caretaker, so I’m available at different times, but it’s flexible. Right now, I would be available for 3 visits a day and would only be away from the house during house sitting about 4 hours a day. When caring for a pet, I try to read their expressions to understand what they need/want. I will keep them entertained when they want to play and leave them alone when they want to be left alone. I will make sure they’re safe and happy. I like to walk, play, relax, talk with any pet I’m with.
About: Hi! My name is Ava and I've been taking care of dogs, cats, and all kinds of other animals for the better part of my life. I've always loved working with animals and have switched between all the different animal related career fields :) I'm hoping to do this full time so I can give as much care as possible to your babies! I have experience with all different types of temperaments and personalities, and guarantee to always give dedicated time to each and every one of your pets. I promise to always take care of them like I would my own, and they'll receive the best care possible! I would love to do animal care full time, so I typically have a very open schedule! I'm free most days and nights, so just message me when you're looking for and I'll most likely be able to make it work! When caring for your pets in your home, I always take great care in making sure I respect the rules given and the space, as well as your fur baby! If they'll let me, I always make sure your fur baby doesn't miss out on ANY love. I love taking pictures or videos to send to parents and will provide regular updates, if needed! I promise to keep my eyes on your four legged friends and a phone on me at all times as well. If there is an emergency or complication, I will message you ASAP.

“Used Layla for the first time for my Doodle and Mastiff. She did a great job. I loved that she was easy to communicate with and kept me updated while she watched them. I will definitely be using her again”

“Ciara was great w our babies! She came to meet them before her stay and was very responsive! She updated us with pictures while we were gone and left the house just as clean as we left it. We would love to have Ciara stay for us again!”

“I needed a dog sitter last minute after a cancellation. She was on time, caring, responsive. Sent me several pictures and kept me updated. It was a great experience. Will definitely book again!”

“Ryland was absolutely fantastic. Not only was she great with my pets, she took very good care of my home. She is a most wonderful person and would trust her with taking care of my furr babies anytime.”

“Shelley house-sat for our dog and two cats for over a week (!!) and we came home to happy, healthy, and loved-on pets. It's an amazing feeling to walk in the door after being away for so long and for your pets to look like they never missed a beat in your absence. Shelley checked in diligently twice a day and was extremely responsive. She even cared for our chickens and garden. I am endlessly thankful for Shelley's care of our fur babies -- going away used to be so nerve wracking, but Shelley has made it a wonderful experience. :)”

“Shaela was great! She was able to spend the night with my new puppy and definitely made me feel better knowing someone was with him. She’s prompt and a great communicator. Would definitely use her again!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for multiple families for long periods of time since I was 14. I love all doggies and puppies! I have trained 2 puppies basic skills like sitting, laying down, and giving a high five! I work as a substitute teacher so I can either work a full school day or half a day depending on how long your dog can stay alone. I also make my own schedule so I could not work at all if needed. During the summer, I have no job and complete open availability. I have 2 dogs at home. One old lady who hates everyone and everything, and one little puppy who loves everyone and everything. So your dog will have a playmate at my house. If I’m at your house, I love playing, going on walks, and cuddling with all the doggies!

“From the first time I messaged Tonya, things went very smoothly. Tonya took great care of my dogs while I was away and I'm sure they enjoyed the daily walks they took with her. She did a great job of keeping me updated while I was away and, as a result, I enjoyed my vacation and did not worry about my dogs or my house. I came home to a neat home that included two, happy and well-cared for dogs! If you're looking for a responsible person to care for your pets, I highly recommend Tonya!”

The median cost per night for house sitting in Yearwood Addition is $50
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Yearwood Addition
Cydney is my favorite rover I’ve used so far. She stayed at my house for four days and watched my two dogs. I came home to a clean home with two happy, well fed doggies. She was so sweet, responsive, and followed my long list of detailed instructions. I was stress free my entire trip. I havn’t felt like that with other rovers. I will definitely be using Cyd again and referring her to my mother as well.

Thank you so much for taking care of my fur babies! I have never left them and I am so thankful that we found you to care for them while we were away! Thank you for sending daily updates, it helped me a lot! My dogs loved Jillian and that alone made me relax. Thank you again!

Taylor took such great care of our dog and cat, Mabel and Margot! She sent us daily updates with lots of pictures which is always appreciated. She was extremely thorough in making sure our babies were comfortable and happy. Taylor even went above and beyond and washed linens, ran the dishwasher, and made sure the house was tidy before she left!

Alexus was fantastic! This was the first time I had to have a sitter, aside from my family, for Beanie. We were taking a short little vacation and needed someone to stay at the house with her. I didn't want to board her anywhere because she is still a bit skittish, esp on certain floors. The first day, Beanie threw up and had diarrhea. Alexus messaged me right away and took great care of her. We think she just got herself a little too anxious and was fine after that. Alexus gave daily updates with pictures so I know Beanie was well taken care of. She was very sweet and very respectful of my house and left it just as it was in I left it. I will definitely be using her again! Thank you, Alexus, for taking great care of the Beans!

As of July 2026, there are 1,222 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Yearwood Addition. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Yearwood Addition walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Yearwood Addition maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Yearwood Addition choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
