I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so pet care is the majority of my daily and weekly routine. Outside play and walking are how I spend my mornings, and when it starts to heat up I focus on preparing treats and that stimulate the pets minds and keep them entertained without over heating. In the cooler weather if the dogs like to be outside we take longer walks or soak in the sun like my senior pup.

Depending on the clients home, I am fine with crating them to be safe and make sure they are not getting into things in between drop ins. I have extensive leash training for dogs so walking will not be an issue. If there is a fenced yard I am happy to play games with them and run around.

It is important to me to know the dogs temperament about other dogs and animals ahead of time. If they are very reactive on the leash, if they do not like to be patted/rubbed in certain places, if they like snuggles or prefer independent play or rest time.

I love walking. I am happy to walk dogs for miles and miles. Aside from walking, I will play tug, fetch, work on agility or obedience training that their owners are working on. I don't have any particular preference, but whatever works for owners and their pets I am up for!

I have been taking care of dogs, in my household and for family friends. About ten years ago I started watching dogs and cats in high school for people who used the same vets office as I did. I have done overnight stays, walks, drop ins, and taken them to veterinary appointments. I have a senior dog at home and have taken him through puppy, intermediate and advanced training. As I mentioned, he is in his senior years so I spend a large majority of my time taking him for short walks in the cooler mornings and making sure he has the best senior years possible. :)

10/10 recommend Kiana! She was great while we have been out of town and loving on our pup. She has an amazing personality & a genuine love for animals. If we ever need a sitter again, we will be using her for sure!
