Pet lover, better pet care taker!
I have been taking care of dogs, in my household and for family friends. About ten years ago I started watching dogs and cats in high school for people who used the same vets office as I did. I have done overnight stays, walks, drop ins, and taken them to veterinary appointments. I have a senior dog at home and have taken him through puppy, intermediate and advanced training. As I mentioned, he is in his senior years so I spend a large majority of my time taking him for short walks in the cooler mornings and making sure he has the best senior years possible. :)

Safety, trust & environment
Depending on the clients home, I am fine with crating them to be safe and make sure they are not getting into things in between drop ins. I have extensive leash training for dogs so walking will not be an issue. If there is a fenced yard I am happy to play games with them and run around.

Kiana was great, as usual! She was flexible with a scheduling error and still made sure the boys were taken care of while we were out of the country! Based on pictures, it’s clear the boys feel very comfortable with her, which puts us at ease while away!

Schedule
I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so pet care is the majority of my daily and weekly routine. Outside play and walking are how I spend my mornings, and when it starts to heat up I focus on preparing treats and that stimulate the pets minds and keep them entertained without over heating. In the cooler weather if the dogs like to be outside we take longer walks or soak in the sun like my senior pup.

- It is important to me to know the dogs temperament about other dogs and animals ahead of time. If they are very reactive on the leash, if they do not like to be patted/rubbed in certain places, if they like snuggles or prefer independent play or rest time.
