“Elizabeth checked all the boxes on her drop-ins for my cat. She gave me confidence that my cat and apartment were okay while being gone for a week. She even went the extra mile by asking if my smoke detector was working. Very pleased.”

We received updates and pictures with throughout their time together. We have already booked Busara again for Chance and will continue to use her when Chance comes to visit! Book her you will not be disappointed!!”

“Hannah definitely took care of my babies as if they were her own. My crew was very comfortable with her and loved her. They needed medication and she was definitely comfortable giving them their meds. I will definitely book her again in the future!”

About: Over the past several months, I've had the pleasure of caring for dogs and cats of all ages, from energetic puppies to sweet senior companions. Every pet has their own unique personality and routine, and I take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I have experience administering medications to senior dogs and understand the importance of following care instructions carefully and consistently. Whether it's sticking to feeding schedules, giving medications, going for walks, or simply providing companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. When I house sit, I also take great pride in caring for your home. I always aim to leave it cleaner than I found it, so you can come home to happy pets and a tidy, well-cared-for space. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind, knowing both your furry family members and your home are in caring, reliable hands. Caring for animals is already woven into my daily rhythm. I work part-time with flexible hours, giving me plenty of space in my schedule for peaceful walks, playtime, and check-ins with pets. I’m used to creating a balanced routine around my own dog, and bringing that same calm, attentive energy to other pets feels completely natural. I am currently free to sit/walk any day of the week as well as house sit for as long as you need. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on creating a safe, calm, and familiar environment for them. I follow your routines exactly as you outline them — from feeding instructions to walk times to any training cues your dog is used to. I keep doors and gates secured, monitor their body language closely, and make sure they always have fresh water and a comfortable space to relax. Trust is extremely important to me, so I communicate clearly, send updates/photos, and treat your home with the same respect and care I treat your pet.
“Olga is great! Ruth (my cat) warmed up to her very quickly. Olga is very communicative, provided consistent and timely updates, and was upfront about any scheduling or timing conflicts that we were able to work around without any issues. She was also able to administer daily medication for Ruth while we were away which is a huge plus! Highly recommend Olga for drop-ins and we will absolutely be repeat customers!”
About: Animals have been a part of my life for over 25 years. I grew up in a home full of pets and can’t remember a time without them. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, and even a lizard. As an adult, I’ve chosen to adopt rescue dogs and guinea pigs because helping animals has always been important to me. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to make them feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. 🐾❤️ I currently work part-time so I have the time to care of your pets and take care of all their needs. My availability is flexible most days. I can do whatever you prefer for your pets in your home. Whatever their routine is, how you like things to be done to keep them feeling safe and comfortable.
“Liz was amazing with my 3 babies. She sent me pictures and kept me informed of their well being. I know my girls can’t wait for us to go away again so she can come play with them. I will definitely be using Liz again over and over.”

“Kaitlyn was able to watch my dog last minute and did a fantastic job. She left such sweet notes for each drop in visit which gave me peace of mind knowing my dog was in great hands!”

“Kelsey did a fine job for us. Dogs liked her and they got their daily walk in. This was our second time working with her. We’d request her again but our schedules aren’t working out this time.”

“Absolutely wonderful! Was able to help us last minute and was very communicative and sent a ton of pictures which we love and appreciate!! Definitely will be using Giovanni again!”

“Shelby was an incredible sitter for our two cats! Followed all of our care instructions, and was very respectful of our home and our cats. I would recommend Shelby to anyone looking for pet care. Thanks again, Shelby!”

“Mercy went above and beyond caring for our 3 animals. They spent time with BMO (who is a lovebird) reading to him and making sure he stays social while we were away. They gave lots of attention to our very needy cat who loves all the attention from everyone. They made sure to check in with our elderly cat to make sure she was OK while we were away because she gets stressed. I highly recommend Mercy for your pet care needs, and we will be using them again.”

“Christina took excellent care of our two cats and a hermit crab while we were away for a whole holiday week. The update notes and photos made us feel so much better while we were so far away. Her knowledge and skills gave us complete confidence, and we would absolutely book with her again in the future.”

“As always, Nicole did a fabulous job. This time we were international and because Nicole was so trustworthy, professional, and outstanding in shorter visits in the past, we felt totally comfortable asking her to care for our senior cats for two weeks—they’re a handful as two need prescription diets and one was on medication. Nicole took excellent care of them. I’d trust her any time.”

About: I work at a pet store, have pets of my own, and volunteer at shelters, giving me experience with all types of animals. I'm comfortable with puppies, seniors, and special needs pets, and I treat every animal with the same love and care as my own. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I’m flexible on evenings and weekends, and I can adjust my schedule to make sure your pet gets the attention and care they need. I prioritize safety and comfort whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s. I create a calm, pet-friendly environment, free of hazards and full of love. Our pet sitter did an amazing job today! She took such great care of our dogs and cat, giving us complete peace of mind while we were away. She even went the extra mile by bringing all of our packages inside for us, which was so thoughtful and appreciated. It's clear she genuinely cares about both the pets and her clients. We came home to happy animals and everything well taken care of. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter!

Destiny did a wonderful job caring for my anxious cat, Mystic! She sent detailed updates with photos, kept me informed about Mystic's eating, water, litter box, and behavior, and even noticed and fixed a small issue with my water fountain. She was patient, thoughtful, and took the time to earn Mystic's trust. I would absolutely book Destiny again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring cat sitter!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
