I own a large, reactive senior dog that is my pride and joy so I’m well versed in reactive dogs with spicy personalities. Disclaimer: I’m a physician with unpredictable hours but I know my schedule months in advance so we’ll work together to find a good routine. I will always be transparent if I can’t provide the care needed due to time constraints. I’m comfortable with dogs of any size, age, or medical needs and cats are more than welcome to join the gang ! My schedule varies due to switching between clinic and hospital rotations every month. I’m usually available in the evenings and weekends. I know my schedule months in advance so will depend on what service you're looking for and what dates Unfortunately, my dog is not friendly with other animals so I cannot provide boarding. I can only offer house sitting if able to alternate between my home and yours

I’m a PhD student who has called St. Louis home for the past five years, and I’m currently in the final stages of writing my dissertation. The good news for your pets? I work from home, so I have plenty of time for walks, belly rubs, playtime, and keeping your furry friends company while you’re away! I am located in The Grove with access to a dog park at my apartment complex as well as walking distance to both Forest Park & Tower Grove Park for pups that enjoy long walks. One of my dogs loves people and dislikes other dogs, while the other one enjoys dogs and is wary of people so I have experience with a variety of dog personalities and their differing needs. Whether your pet is a professional cuddler, an energetic adventurer, or simply here for the treats, I’d love to spoil them ◡̈ Since I work from home while finishing my PhD dissertation, pet care fits pretty naturally into my daily routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to take plenty of breaks throughout the day for walks, playtime, and potty breaks. 🐾 My schedule is much more “read a paper, take a dog for a walk, write a paragraph, give belly rubs” than a traditional 9-to-5. I can easily adapt to the schedule of your pup! I’m happy to build pet care into my day and give your pets plenty of attention rather than leaving them alone for long stretches. Having a furry coworker around is honestly a pretty great dissertation-writing perk! 😂 Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or theirs, I take the time to learn their routine, personality, and any special instructions so they can feel comfortable and relaxed. I always keep a close eye on pets during walks and playtime. Since I work from home, I’m able to provide plenty of supervision and companionship throughout the day. About: I have been taking care of sweet, precious pups since I was 7 years old when my mom surprised me and my brother with a basset hound puppy after school. Her name was Roxanne. A couple years later, we rescued a 6-year-old basset hound, Brandi, and a few years later, we rescued a 1-year-old beagle mix, Misty, and adopted a basset hound puppy, Willow, who had just been born on a farm near our house. We treasured our sweet babies, cooking for them every day - hard-boiled eggs for breakfast and meat and veggies for dinner. And they lived long, happy lives. Brandi, Misty, and Willow all made it to about 15 years old! I just moved from Colorado to start my PhD in Public Health at WashU, and I can't wait to pick back up with dog sitting again! In Colorado, I was the honorary dog sitter at my church. One couple even flew me out to California a few times to continue caring for their sweet pup after they moved! Between my own dogs and others' dogs, I've taken care of dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors who need lots of support. I am a PhD student at WashU Bursky School of Public Health. This semester, I have a class on the Danforth campus on Tuesdays from 9am to 12pm, Wednesdays from 12pm-1pm, and Thursdays from 1pm-4pm. My research is remote. So, I have lots of flexibility to make sure your pups get their potty breaks and play time and walk time, even on days that I have class. And house sitting would work super well :) I am offering house sitting, check-ins, and walks. If I am house sitting, I will always stay the night to make sure your pets are safe and well taken care of. I will keep the outer doors locked and make sure I am able to hear your pets if they need me. I am also happy to sleep in the same room with them if that is your preference. I will make sure to follow whatever schedule your pets need, e.g., eating, medicine, walking. As far as check-ins and walks, I will make sure to respect whatever rules you have for the house (e.g., shoes off, doors locked). I'm also happy to give your dogs a bath when they need it!

About: Hello! I have previously built a small dog sitting clientele in the city of Columbia between the years of 2017-2019. In 2019 I moved to STL and worked through Rover for about two more years until I got a full time job. Currently dipping my toes back into pet care! Although I am in St. Louis I am willing to travel to areas including, but not limited to; St. Charles, Wentzville, O'Fallon, etc. My set days off are Sunday and Monday. I do still currently have a fulltime job, so for the time being I will only be able to do drop in visits and walks. I am comfortable working with either dogs or cats. I have a 4 year old orange cat that I rescued at just 2 weeks old, so I have experience working with very small kittens as well. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask! I work about 30 hours a week, but will not let this effect how I care for your pet! My days off are always Sunday and Monday, and I am available at anytime either of those days, as well as most evenings and certain mornings. I unfortunately cannot offer services in my own home, but I am more than willing to provide pet watching in the clients home. I am able to do drop in visits, feedings, hair brushes, playtime, walks or whatever your pet needs while you're at work or just out for the day.
