I’ve owned, loved and cared for dogs my entire life, and bring knowledge, experience and rapport to dog sitting and dog boarding. While not a cat owner, I am a fan of felines, and enjoy taking care of friends, family members, and clients’ cats! i am a freelance writer who works from home, and have ample time to provide the care and attention you seek for your beloved dogs and cats. I am very careful in adhering to all the care and safety instructions from clients and the Rover company.

I am always careful entering and exiting residences to prevent escapes by the dogs and cats entrusted to my care. In addition, I ensure all gates and doors are shut according to client wishes, and follow up with clients re questions.

I had a frustrating experience with Debra that involved Rover Support, and I hesitated on leaving feedback because while I dog walk through Rover, this was my first time hiring a sitter for my own dog. During our Meet & Greet, I let Debra know that Halley Comet is pretty vocal when someone new comes in, barking and growling. I said that she never has bit at or snapped at anyone - she's all bark and no bite. I also let her know that Halley goes outside to our fenced backyard to go potty. When Debra came for her first day of dropping in on my dog, my roommate had locked herself out and witnessed some of Debra's interactions. First, Debra insisted that Halley had to be collared and leashed to go outside in our fenced backyard. Halley does not use a collar, just a harness, and will not potty on a harness and leash - she needs to just be let out. So Debra was not following care instructions. Second, I received a message that morning from Debra that she was on the phone with Rover Support because she was scared of Halley growling at her, and wouldn't be able to care for her. I had no prior messages from Debra. She did not attempt to text or call me through Rover to see what could be done, she jumped straight to Rover Support. This was frustrating because if she had called me, I could have given her some insight on how to deal with Halley being upset, and reassurance that Halley does not bite but is vocal. All in all, it was a miserable experience that involved a case open with Rover over the ordeal.

Debbie has always been very reliable and kind and takes good care of my cats. I will definitely rebook with her in the future.


Debra does a great job with my pup, Georgia. She gives her lots of TLC!

This is the second time we have had Debra watch our pets while on vacation. She always goes above and beyond, providing detailed updates and pictures for each visit. It is reassuring knowing we have someone so caring and someone our pets now see as family to look after them while we’re gone.

Schedule
I’m available during the week and on weekends, and schedule 30 and 60-minute visits. When I arrive and depart each visit, I text the pet parent. I be also send photos of the pet(s) I take each visit.
