About: I Love dogs, since my dog has passed away several years ago I enjoy pet sitting to fill the void. Animals are love. Your animal will be cared for and loved the way you would. We have a fenced in yard which your animal can play in and he will not be ignored or cooped up. We have had many dogs in the past but do not currently have one. Good with large dogs, or all sizes, really, Many people have trusted us with their dogs but now I am trying this service hoping it works well on all ends, it seems like a good idea. Your animal will be in a safe environment and you can get regular updates. Thank you for considering me. I am currently tele commuting working from home. Your dog won't be left alone for hours on end and will not be ignored. Usually home 7 days a week The yard is fenced in, and I have also been using an apple air tag as an extra level of security. Making sure your dog never gets away is the highest priority.

What I do Dog walk or Walk Cat Administered medication if needed Feeding Cleaning up any messes Making sure the animals are safe at all times Playing soothing music to keep the anxiety at all time low or stay quiet.* I will be mindful to their body language* Speak in soft and calm tones to keep the space safe Allow the pet to get to know me so I can build their trust. Take pictures or videos and send daily updates if the owner approves of this. I believe that pets need a trusted person while their owner is away. To do this I try to get the animals undivided attention. I try my best to not have too many things going on in my day so that way I can focus providing my best. If I am pet sitting overnight or for a full day, I’ll be sure to not leave the home for very long. That way it can minimize the pets anxiety. This includes me going to work I will make sure I’ll come right back however, I tend to pet sit on days I don’t have too much going on . About: I’ve been around animals of all kinds, including my own now-15-year-old border collie, my whole life. I pet sat for my neighbors growing up, and I’m now a cat mom. My family owns three cats and a dog, and I also volunteered with my local shelter before moving to Bethlehem! I recently finished my junior year of college, so this summer my time will be extraordinarily open. I’ll be interning with a newspaper in Allentown, which allows me to work from home almost every day, with the exception of spending a 1-3 hours at my assignments each day. I have a flexible schedule and I would love to fill it up with animals. When school begins again, I’ll be a part-time student with time to work in the afternoons and evenings. My dog is an old man now, so when I’m with him he must be watched very carefully. Since he’s been old for a few years now, I would say I’m confident in taking care of senior dogs. I also sat for neighbors with two little elderly dogs, one of whom was blind and deaf. As for my own cat, I’m protective of her exercise, diet, and play time. I pay close attention to her and spend as much time with her as I can. I like to find new ways to stimulate her and she’s oddly brave and friendly, so she sometimes goes on adventures and play dates. I have other cats who have the exact opposite personality, so I know how to handle a shy, scared cat as well. Each animals has its own unique personality and I enjoy getting to know them.
About: My name is Michelle and I have taken care of dogs, some small and some large, for 10+ years. Comfortable with any size or breed. Looking forward to meeting your pet! Hello. I am free for walks after 430pm on weekdays, and have availability during the daytime and evening on weekends. I have one dog and one cat in my home. I have a fenced in yard and one energetic dog that will certainly help tire yours out! Non-smoking home and boarding would include lots of walks.
About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with animals of all kinds and my comfort caring for pets with different needs and personalities. I’ve grown up around cats, dogs, fish, hamsters, and many different breeds throughout my life, so caring for animals has always been second nature to me. I also have previous experience working in a vet care setting, which helped me become confident handling animals, recognizing behavior changes, and assisting with more specialized care. At home, I care for a special needs cat who requires medication, so I’m very comfortable administering meds and following detailed care routines. Because of this background, I’m especially patient and attentive with senior pets, anxious animals, and pets who need extra care or medication. I always try to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine. During the summer, I work very part time teaching art classes, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for walks, drop-ins, and overnight care. Outside of teaching, I mainly focus on caring for pets for my other dog walking and pet sitting clients. I’m also going into my senior year at Moravian University, and during the school year I schedule pet care around my classes. Since my class schedule is manageable, I’m able to consistently make time for walks, feedings, playtime, and giving pets attention throughout the day. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I try to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow feeding schedules closely, make sure pets get plenty of exercise, playtime, attention, and bathroom breaks, and I’m comfortable giving medications when needed. I also make sure the home stays clean and cared for while owners are away, including cleaning litter boxes, picking up after pets, bringing in mail/packages, and keeping owners updated with pictures and messages.
“Amy went above and beyond to care for my kitties and make us feel comfortable being away from them. She sent fantastic pictures/videos and became their new friend. I will definitely be booking with Amy again!”

“Five-Star Cat Sitting Experience with Marie! I can’t say enough great things about Marie! She took care of my cat, Ru, for four days with drop-in visits, and she went above and beyond to make sure he was happy and well cared for. She provided regular updates and sent adorable pictures, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. Ru can be a bit particular, but Marie was patient, attentive, and made sure he was comfortable the entire time. It was clear she genuinely loves animals and takes her responsibilities seriously. I came home to a happy, well-fed, and relaxed cat—what more could I ask for? If you’re looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter, I highly recommend Marie. I’ll definitely be booking her again in the future!”

“Katherine is wonderful. Great communication and made me feel at ease as I left my boys alone in our new home for the first time. One of my cats is very shy and besides his vet, Katherine is only the third person to see him in about three years! Above and beyond what I want in pet sitter. I have already rebooked her for my next trip.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of various sizes and breeds for neighbors, family, and friends over the last 8 years. I have experience with overnight house sitting and dropping in when needed. While I do not currently have any pets of my own, I treat each pet with the love, patience, attention, and consideration that I would my own. I love all animals and will give your pets lots of love while you’re away! I’m currently working full time between 8:30am and 5:00pm M-F but am available before and after work, as well as during my lunch and have especially free weekends. I have had cats since I was very young but I am a big dog lover and cherish any time spent with pups! The expectations of every owner differ and I am always sure to pay great attention to the schedule and daily routine of the animals I’m caring for.
“Kaylynn was so wonderful with our dog. Brownie was so comfy with her. Highly recommend her and will definitely contact her again.Thank you for such a wonderful time and I was least worried knowing that she is there for brownie”

About: Throughout high school, my family fostered dogs through a local rescue, where we had the opportunity to take in dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. I’ve grown up with dogs and around animals and I have always been the go to pet and house sitter for friends and family! I have taken care of my own dogs in addition to fostering dogs for about 2 years and dog sitting for families for over 3 years! I am currently a college student at Lehigh University living on campus and I do have a car, so I am more than willing to stop by and care for your pets or dog and house ist for longer times if needed! Having experience in dog sitting in addition to fostering dogs and cats, I have a good understanding of how to care for a pet and how to cater to their needs and their environment, no matter their size, temperament, or age!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Wydnor
Peter took wonderful, attentive care of my two Cats, dropping in for an hour each day to play, pet, groom, tidy-up, and keep them company while I was away. Peter is comfortable, friendly, funny, and made my first Rover experience incredibly easy & pleasant! He also listened carefully to my priorities and preferences and sent detailed communications daily. An all-around great guy that I'd trust with any animal and recommend to any friend and neighbor!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
