“Melanie was absolutely lovely to work with - very sweet with my highly anxious rescue dog, taking the time to make friends with her. Melanie also sent lots of photos and even went above and beyond by doing little extras around the house. I was worried about having a new person look after my dog but after meeting Melanie, I felt so much better about it. I travel a lot for work and am already rebooking her again!”

“We don’t know what we would do without Mollie! Hammond loves her visits and is always smiling in his pics. We’ve never had a more reliable, flexible and delightful caregiver for our old boy. Mollie is the best!”

“INCREDIBLE PET SITTER! I've lived in multiple states and she's the best I've had by far. She went above and beyond to take care of my floof! I'm so grateful. Just the best!”

“We were very impressed with Tonya. She had great communication and sent pics of our babies we missed. We had a sitter drop out and we're very happy to find someone that made us feel very comfortable our babies were in good care. : )”

About: I cared for my 2 sweet black Cocker Spaniels as a child and as a young adult I had a Coon Hound as well as a Chihuahua. I am retired and have plenty of time to care for your pet. If pet sitting at your home, I only leave for short grocery runs or to feed my own kitties at my home. If drop-in care is provided, I schedule at least 30 minutes or more to focus on your pets. I put your pets first. At your home my focus is feeding, play, exercise and cuddling. If drop-in care, I feed, clean-up and play with your pet giving pets at least 30 minutes of my attention (and more if requested).

I’m currently a stay at home mom so I am free all weekdays and most weekends. I have no issues giving your pets the care and love they need. I can give each pet specific, catered care. My goal is to ensure your fur babies are emotionally and physically taken care of. From high energy, to low energy, I can adapt to almost any requirements.

About: I’ve always had pets and have been responsible for caring for them throughout my life. As a teacher, I’m patient, dependable, and nurturing. I truly love animals and will treat your pets with the same care, attention, and kindness I’d give my own. As a teacher, I have summers completely free, all federal holidays off, and finish work early during the school year. I also live close to work, giving me plenty of time to provide attentive, loving care and companionship for your pets. When pets stay in my home, they’ll be treated like family. I provide a safe, clean, and loving environment with plenty of attention, playtime, affection, exercise, and personalized care to ensure they feel comfortable, happy, and at home while you’re away.

I'm currently just going to school so I'll have plenty of time for your fur babies! I've done everything from bottle feed puppies to take care of cats and dogs in their senior years. I will follow your instructions and also hang out with your animals to help them feel less lonely being home alone while their family is gone and just try to keep things as normal as possible:)
About: I’m deeply empathetic, detail-oriented, and have years of experience in caregiving—which makes me especially attuned to the needs of pets who need a little extra love, patience, or routine. I’m not just a sitter or a walker; I care for your pets like they’re part of my family. I have a soft spot for senior dogs and anxious pups, and I genuinely love creating a calm, comforting environment that helps them feel safe and happy while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I have a flexible schedule and enjoy spending time with animals as part of my day. Whether it’s a midday walk, a morning or evening drop-in, or helping out while you're at work or away, I’m reliable, attentive, and happy to show up when your pet needs care and company. It’s a meaningful way for me to stay active and connect with animals—something I genuinely enjoy. I treat every client’s home with the same respect I would want for my own. I follow all instructions carefully, stick to your pet’s routine, and double-check that doors, gates, and crates are secure before I leave. I’m very mindful of creating a calm, safe environment—especially for pets who are shy, anxious, or need a little extra reassurance. Building trust is important to me, so I always communicate clearly, provide updates, and do my best to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable while you’re apart.

About: I have several clients and I love watching other people pets while they are away, and want to make sure your pet still gets love I love to send updates, and pictures so you know how your sweet babies are doing and so I can keep you in the know. Your babies will be in great hands and I will give them lots of love while you are gone. I do work Full Time for the Rocket City Trash Pandas as their Merchandise Coordinator I will walk them, give them lots of cuddles and love, and they can even sleep in the bed with me if you allow it
About: I am a CMA, and have worked in 4 vets offices over the years. I can give medication (oral, topicals or shots). I have been a groomer for 9ish years (traveling to homes and in grooming shops). I also come packing a huge heart ready to love whatever babies you have. I have cared for them all and really to care for yours!💜 I recently had surgery in March but have been cleared for work. I am a mobile groomer for myself so my schedule is very flexible. Working with vets/in hospitals, I have learned the best way to keep your animals safe and happy is to stay in their own home. Cars and new environments can cause a lot of stress or anxiety. Drop in visits and house sitting keeps your pet in a safe and comfortable place without the exposure to others or their pets.

About: I have had animals of all kind since a young age. Cats, dogs, and even farm animals. My dogs get taken on walks regularly to keep them socialized. We open the doors for the cats to sit outside on the front porch to enjoy the fresh air. Everyone gets regular vet visits to make sure everything is in order and for their flea and other medicines. If i could spend my whole paycheck on them I so would, they are my babies..... I have before. for the summer I can fit you into my schedule any time between Monday-Friday from the morning time till the afternoon if needed for walks or sitting. I prefer to care for them at the client house as the pets feel the safest and most calm. the reason for not being at my home is because my grandma is allergic to animals.

As of July 2026, there are 323 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Woodland Mills. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Woodland Mills. On Rover:
- 86% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 91% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
