Mollie saved our thanksgiving. We decided last minute to travel for the holidays and she was great at communicating as well as handling our big dogs.

We were very impressed with Tonya. She had great communication and sent pics of our babies we missed. We had a sitter drop out and we're very happy to find someone that made us feel very comfortable our babies were in good care. : )

Juyne is a great sitter, very dependable and my cats seem to love her visits. My cats have been showing signs of stress when we go away for the weekend and so far using Juyne they are doing a lot better.

About: I am a CMA, and have worked in 4 vets offices over the years. I can give medication (oral, topicals or shots). I have been a groomer for 9ish years (traveling to homes and in grooming shops). I also come packing a huge heart ready to love whatever babies you have. I have cared for them all and really to care for yours!💜 I recently had surgery in March but have been cleared for work. I am a mobile groomer for myself so my schedule is very flexible. Working with vets/in hospitals, I have learned the best way to keep your animals safe and happy is to stay in their own home. Cars and new environments can cause a lot of stress or anxiety. Drop in visits and house sitting keeps your pet in a safe and comfortable place without the exposure to others or their pets.

About: I’ve always had pets and have been responsible for caring for them throughout my life. As a teacher, I’m patient, dependable, and nurturing. I truly love animals and will treat your pets with the same care, attention, and kindness I’d give my own. As a teacher, I have summers completely free, all federal holidays off, and finish work early during the school year. I also live close to work, giving me plenty of time to provide attentive, loving care and companionship for your pets. When pets stay in my home, they’ll be treated like family. I provide a safe, clean, and loving environment with plenty of attention, playtime, affection, exercise, and personalized care to ensure they feel comfortable, happy, and at home while you’re away.

Our pets were so well taken care of. We received feedback of each visit, their demeanor toward their new “person” and we even received information about the property after some inclement weather came through the area in our absence. We felt as if family was caring for our furry friends. We highly recommend Elizabeth D. to care for your pets. You would really be missing out if you went elsewhere.

About: I’ve grown up around all different types of animals and have experience caring for pets of different ages, sizes, and personalities. I currently own a spoiled pomeranian and 2 very needy cockatiels so I REALLY understand that every pet has their own routine, and I’m happy to follow feeding schedules, give fresh water, take dogs on walks, play with them, administer basic medications if needed, and make sure they get plenty of love and attention. I’ll care for your pet like they’re my own and always keep you updated so you can have peace of mind while you’re away!! Pet care fits naturally into my routine! I’m currently a barista at Dutch Bros, so my work schedule changes from week to week. Because of that, I keep my availability updated and communicate clearly with pet parents to make sure I can give every pet the time and attention they deserve. Whether it’s walks, drop in visits, feeding, playtime, or overnight care, I’m committed to providing reliable, loving care and keeping you updated with photos and messages while you’re away. ❤️ Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I know every pet has their own routine, personality, and needs, so I always take the time to follow your instructions to a T. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, I’ll make sure they have fresh water, meals on schedule, plenty of exercise, playtime, and lots of love and attention. I’m respectful of your home, keep doors and gates secure, and always prioritize your pet’s safety on walks and during visits. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands!!

I will follow your instructions and also hang out with your animals to help them feel less lonely being home alone while their family is gone and just try to keep things as normal as possible:)

About: I have always had pets growing up and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. My experience in Pet Care is from owning my own pets and caring for family, friends and volunteering over the years. My husband works nights and I work days so there is always someone home to make sure your fur baby is taken care of and loved on! Our residence features ample space in the garage, and a spacious fenced-in backyard. As pet owners ourselves, with two golden doodles and a cat, we understand the stress associated with leaving them behind. Consequently, we would provide a nurturing environment, treating boarded pets like our own, with generous playtime outside of their kennels and the attention and affection they are accustomed to receiving at home. ❤️

About: I’m an animal person through and through. I’ve been around dogs since I was a little boy at the age of 5. I’ve taken care of family, neighbor, and even stray pets/animals and take pride in my ability to get on the good side of any creature. Firm believer that there is no such thing in a bad dog, only misunderstood ones. I have one dog (the handsome black lab), but sometimes have my mother in law’s two dogs over. They’re all well behaved and sociable. I work from home and typically have a lot of spare time in my day to take care of pets. I make sure to take my dog to the park everyday and see to it that he gets proper exercise and will be sure to make sure your dogs get the same. I don’t go anywhere most weekends so I’m available for boarding and anything else more or less all the time. I live in a 4 bedroom house with a big yard and sunroom so plenty of space for play. I have several parks located within ten minutes of me and walking trails nearby too so your pup will never be bored.

About: Enthusiastic dog and cat lover. Exotic pets welcome! Perfectly capable of handling any cleanup necessary. No experience with "extremely" disabled pets but I'd love to gain some! I don't smoke, I have reliable transportation, and I'm a fervent cruelty free advocate! I have 6 pets of my own, 2 dogs & 4 cats. Milo orange male, George orange male, Cashew orange male, Prim tabby female. Olive black lab, Sabrina chocolate lab. I'm able and eager to care for big & small animals of all breeds. I'd love to work with hamsters, mice, gerbils, rats, etc. I had rats from 2021-2023. I'm not afraid of "bully" breeds, truly I adore them. If you have any questions feel free to message me! I'm unemployed at the moment (8/6/26) so I've endless time for pet play and care! I somewhat frequently have to administer medication to my older pets for various reasons. If your pet needs that I can provide with proper teaching from you, just to make sure I don't make a mistake. I cannot currently care for your pets at my home, not with 6 of my own. However I can play with, exercise with, feed, water, walk, and give lots of love to your fur baby.

About: I have been the designated dog and cat sitter in my family since I was 13 years old and have loved it! I’ve always had a deep love for animals and will be going to Auburn for their College of Veterinary Medicine in the Fall of this year. I currently work as a veterinary technician and have four years of experience. If any of your pets have needs such as medicating, or any special behavioral instructions I should be able to handle them. Pet sitting and dog walking would be a great way for me to earn a couple extra dollars a month, and be able to help out the animals who need walks throughout the day and daily care when their owners are away. I’m working part time at my current job and a full time student. I’m completely free during the weekends to do daily walks and play dates, but during the week I’m limited to morning check ins and evening only play time. With my own dog at home I crate him while there is no one home due his tendency to get into things he shouldn’t. If you prefer your dog to be crated while no one is home I’m perfectly okay with doing so as long as I’m allowed to take off any collars they may have on to prevent snagging while away. I also like to provide a bowl of water with the dog inside of the crate to allow them to hydrate while I’m away. If you would prefer your dog to not be crated then I’m okay with that as well.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Six Mile. On Rover:

  • 86% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 91% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
