“Dug was well cared for and seemed happy. Thank you for the daily pictures. Missed him so much. They were very easy to contact and arrange pick up time and visitation. Thank you for your love for animals and especially Dug!”

“Steven and his family were the best! We had never left our pups at anyone else’s house before and they had the best time. He took several pictures every day so we could see our babies. Our one Aussie is very shy and he warmed right up. I feel like they had a vacation right along with us. They were definitely spoiled. 😂 I will be using Steven again no doubt.”

“I am absolutely happy I booked with Hailie B.. She is very communicative and has love for animals. Our dog Shadow is a super soft scary pit bull 🤣, but Hailie welcomed instantly and made him feel like home. Thanks Hailie, and if you’ll available I will definitely book with you again.”

“Amber was a sweet, patient and caring sitter for our senior dog with lots of special needs. She cared for Ellie as if she was her own and was happy to accommodate all of Ellie's needs. Amber kept us updated on how she was doing through out the stay. We would definitely use Amber again as it was clear Ellie was comfortable there.”

“Dalis is always amazing with our pups She is our go-to sitter and our pups love their time with her. Her backyard is the ideal playground and we appreciate the thoughtful picture updates she provides, giving us peace of mind while we’re away. If you need a local sitter, look no further than Dalis…she’s the best!”

“Lots of photos of my Handsome Fluffers while we were gone. He smelled great when we picked him up as well. He had lost weight while we were gone but that was no fault of the boarder our guy has anxiety and won’t eat much when he’s separated.”

“Erin treats our dog like part of the family; we have peace knowing our dog is loved, happy, and well-cared for when we travel. Highly recommend and am a repeat client”

“Jennifer obviously loves dogs. She took great care of our dog Max. She sent a daily update with pictures showing all of the care and attention Max was receiving. We appreciated her updates and have no doubt Max had a great time. We definitely will use Jennifer again.”

“Chad and Adrienne were absolutely amazing with our Golden Retriever, Bennett, while we were on vacation. We could tell from the very beginning that he felt right at home with them. We received daily updates with pictures and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. Bennett loved zoomies and playing with their dog Maple and enjoyed sweet nap time with their older dog, Lucky. He especially loved the daily walks with their family and their daughter, and all the cuddles and attention they gave him throughout his stay. We are so grateful for how well they cared for him, they truly treated Bennett like their own. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend them to anyone looking for thoughtful, trustworthy pet sitters.”

About: Hi 👋 I’m Victoria! I graduated with a degree in Biochemistry with a concentration in pre-veterinary medicine from Mississippi State University in 2019. Then was admitted to Ross University for their veterinary medicine program. I love animals but decided I’d rather own the vet clinic than be the veterinarian so I worked as a vet tech while getting my MBA. I finished my masters in December of 2022 and have plans to start my own animal hospital. I have volunteered with several animal shelters and wildlife rehab centers since 2016. I worked at Animal Tracks Veterinary Hospital from June 2018 until August 2019. I have been trained in dog CPR at Mississippi State University’s school of veterinary medicine. I can do grooming (dogs and cats), with nail trim and ear cleaning for an extra $20 fee. I am able to medicate (oral, injections, creams, etc...). I have closely worked with with diabetic cats, cats with strokes (wobbly cat syndrome), post surgery care, and canine seizures. I can go on long runs, take them to the dog park, or just spend some time cuddling your furry family member. I will send daily pictures or videos of your pet while you’re away as well! I have experience working with domestic animals (large, small, and farm) as well as bobcats, bunnies, squirrels, birds, skunks, opossums, and coyotes. I am currently working on obtaining my wildlife rehabilitator certification. I’d love the chance to come meet your baby! I am currently working full-time for a tech company and am remote. If your fur babies need out in the middle of the day I can accommodate this as ling as I can use the WIFI. I have a cat, and 2 Australian Cattle Dogs who are very friendly. They are welcome to stay with me if they are potty trained and get along well with others.
“Hope was great with our baby! I was afraid Freckles would be difficult, because she can be a little grumpy with unfamiliar dogs. Hope was patient and introduced each dog one at a time. Freckles even made a friend with Dolly. I will definitely use her again and I highly recommend her. Her home was very clean and plenty of toys to play with.”

“Ben did a wonderful job watching our two dogs. He has a beautiful property with plenty of space and was great about sending us pictures and keeping us updated. Both our dogs loved Ben. They kept running back to him to say bye when we picked them up. We will definitely use Ben again in the future and highly recommend him.”

“Ashely was great!!! I was very nervous because my Rusty is only used to my son & I. Ashley made me extremely comfortable & I would most def leave my Rusty with her again! She sent videos & kept me updated with how he was doing! He even made a new friend to play with, Bodie! ☺️????”

“Sarah was amazing! We received multiple pictures and updates daily. Her doggies are really sweet and got along well with ours. We look forward to booking with Sarah again soon!”

“Such a great experience with Fortune and her family caring for our dog. They almost spoiled him with the care and attention they provided. Could not ask for better a better stay and can highly recommend Fortune to all.”

“Highly recommended! I received updates with pictures and videos during my dog’s stay which made me feel at ease while I was away. This is a very pet friendly environment and I’d recommend to anyone as a great place to board your pet while you’re away!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Six Mile home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Six Mile.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Six Mile sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
