“First time with our cats that have big personalities (don’t they all) - trying to get them accustomed to the idea of new sitters. Elizabeth was unfazed by my crazy detailed instructions and is very knowledgeable about cat behavior and was similarly unfazed when my girl cat was a hissy little lady at the stranger in her house. Will definitely call on her again when we have another trip and need a sitter.”

“We would definitely recommend Felicity and book her again! She responded fast, was flexible, and took great care of our dog. We loved the updates/pictures she would send us after each visit!”

“Juyne is a great sitter, very dependable and my cats seem to love her visits. My cats have been showing signs of stress when we go away for the weekend and so far using Juyne they are doing a lot better.”

“Olivia was an amazing sitter! She took such great care (and pictures) of Matilda. We loved seeing her updates and were never worried about our fur baby while we were away. Olivia is a rockstar!”

“Thank you Jennifer for taking care of my girl! Will definitely reach out for more services. I appreciate the updates as well and that you took time to come meet her before your first check in.”

“Katelynn took good care of our two cats while we were away for over a week. She kept things as normal as possible for them and it was nice to come home to a clean house with happy fur babies! I hope she’s available the next time we need someone. Thank you Katelynn!”

“Angelica did a noon time drop in for our dogs. She was great with them! Fed them, let them out, played with them. She was on time and respectful of our home and requests:) We have already booked her for some upcoming overnight stays!”

“Shyanne was fantastic! Very responsive from first contact and was in constant contact with me while my dog was in her care. She was very patient and caring with my dog, who’s a bit older and can be very stubborn. Will definitely book again!”

“I’m so grateful for the care Kanese gave my dog while we were away for a week. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about my pup’s well being. I loved getting photo updates and could tell my dog was happy, comfortable, and well taken care of. It gave me real peace of mind knowing she was in such good hands. Highly recommend!”

“She was wonderful! Our pack was happy and healthy when we got back. Got plenty of photos and updates, and she was always on time. Quick initial response was awesome, too.”

“Tess was easy to communicate with and she took a good care our senior kitty. She followed the instructions I left around the house to accommodate my cat needs. I appreciate her for taking care of my fur baby when we were out of town.”

About: I grew up with my family dog (mini schnauzer) and now have an orange tabby cat of my own. I’ve pet sat for several lovable pets through the years and am always excited to have the opportunity to meet and take care of dogs and cats alike! I’m currently in between jobs, so I have lots of time to care for pets and help with other household tasks that might be needed. When caring for pets in someone’s home, I follow all necessary instructions on meeting all of their needs. I focus on safety and comfort, as I do with my own pets.
“Anna did a great job and went above and beyond watching my doggies last week. One of them was on a special diet and she really dealt with it well and was extremely communicative as always! Highly recommend!!!”

About: Hi, I'm Lisa — a Registered Nurse, a mom, and a lifelong animal lover. For 17 years I've cared for people at their most vulnerable, and I bring that same calm, attentive, compassionate approach to every pet in my care. Pet care isn’t a side gig or something I stumbled into - it’s a deliberate choice rooted in a lifelong love of animals and a professional commitment to doing things right. I understand what it means to trust someone with the ones you love and I take that responsibility very seriously. I am independently insured and bonded, giving you peace-of-mind that you are fully supported when I am caring for your pet. I'm home during the day, which means your pet gets real, focused attention — not a rushed visit squeezed between other obligations. When you're at work, traveling, or just need a break, your furry family member will be safe, comfortable, and loved. I structure our days around our clients' pets. Morning walks, midday drop-ins, and daytime care all fit naturally into my daily routine so your pet's schedule stays consistent even when yours gets busy. I believe pets are happiest when their routine stays intact. When visiting your home, I stick to the schedule you've set — meals, walks, playtime, and rest — so your pet barely notices you're gone. That predictability is what keeps them calm, comfortable, and well cared for.
“Trinity is great! She made every effort to give our boy the love and attention he needed when we were away. She even came over on the days she was experiencing car troubles! Very happy we went with her and so is our cat!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Triana. On Rover:
- 87% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
