“Dorothy took care of our two dogs over the weekend and we were very happy with her service. She gave our hyper dog plenty of play and exercise and made sure both dogs were taken care of during each visit. She also kindly brought a delivery inside for us and was always responsive to messages throughout. We will definitely see if Dorothy is available the next time we need a sitter!”

“I’m so thankful for Adaline! We ended up being out of town longer than expected and Adaline came through in a pinch. She came and not only let out our Tater Tot but she also fed him and took time to play with him. We will be using her in the future for boarding as well ☺️”

“Maricella agreed to watch my pup on short notice and she did an amazing job, as usual! She played with him and fed him and provided plenty of pics. Miles is a big fan!”

“Lilianais has been wonderful and my go to for pet sitting. I have a random schedule with work these days & she has always made herself available. Highly recommend her.”

“Christina treated my pets and home as if they were hers! It was such a great experience to not have to worry about my pets while away, thanks so much to Christina. ❤️”

“Sara is absolutely the best! She goes above & beyond to provide the best care for our fur babies! She keeps us updated with her visit reports and pictures of our babies. Our babies love having Sara take care of them!”

“Martha was great! We set up a meet and greet and she came right on time. The cats were happy to see her and we will book again with Martha. HOWEVER, ROVER did not perform as expected. The platform did not send the requisite information to Martha so that she knew to come the last day. NOT Martha's fault.”

“Kaylee was great. As a fellow Army wife I really appreciated her professionalism and assistance while I had to take an unexpected trip leaving my two dogs during the day for longer periods then I wanted. Something as simple as letting them out and in for a midday potty break took the pressure off of myself and my husband who was tied up at work for long hours. Great updates and pictures. I know who I am calling next time I need some help again.”

“Tony went above and beyond what was expected. Not only did he give our pets the love and care they needed but he gave incredibly thorough notes on what happened in each visit, as well as countless photos. He also gave details on training opportunities for our puppy Scout and was consistent in upholding those boundaries. We could not have had someone better looking after our babies and plan to reach out to Tony for services moving forward.”

About: I've had the pleasure of caring for a variety of pets—cats, dogs, and even fish! I'm very adaptable and genuinely happy to meet any needs your beloved pets might have. Whether it's adjusting feeding schedules for each furry friend, managing different routines, addressing health concerns, or dealing with hyperactivity, you can rest assured that I've got it all covered with care and enthusiasm. I am a student with mainly online courses, which means I can be with your furry friend for the majority of the day and week I currently work part-time evening shifts that last about 5-6 hours, usually from 5pm to 10pm, Friday through Sunday, with occasional weekday shifts. So I’m more than happy to take care of your furry friend during the day and keep them company overnight! “⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Mallory was amazing! She went above and beyond taking care of our cat and our home while we were away. She gave us regular updates and adorable photos, so we always knew our cat was happy and in great hands. We came home to a well-cared-for kitty and a spotless house. It’s clear Mallory truly loves animals and treats them like her own. We couldn’t recommend her more highly and will absolutely will use her again”

About: Hi! I'm a 28 y/o dog mom new to the area! I have a sweet little 10lb cavapoo who I am obsessed with and who adores other dogs! I'm home all day (Army wife life) so I have plenty of time to dedicate to your pets, whether it's playing with them or taking them on walks around the neighborhood. I'd love to explore the area with your pet, or just give them the snuggles they’re used to while you’re away. My dog is a rescue who I raised from puppyhood—so I don’t mind accidents, teething, training, etc. I’m vigilant about safety with dogs, especially around cars and roads, so you can rest assured knowing I won’t let anything happen to your pup. I also grew up with two very energetic dogs in my home and I know how important pets are to each family. I'm happy to get to know your pet and any quirks they might have--places to avoid, special care they require, anything at all! Little more about me: I’m from the Midwest and have my Bachelor’s from U of M! I spent the last few years in the Washington, DC area with my husband as he went through medical school & residency. We’re an Army family but still hold our Midwest roots dearly :) I work part-time remotely, so I’m home and available all day and in the evenings. I’m happy to stop by to play with your pup and take a break from work, or go on my evening hot-girl walk with your dog by my side! I will treat your pet like my own when they’re in my home! We love to play, wrestle, and snuggle on the couch! My dog has free rein so she lounges on the couch, her beds, our bed, etc. Your dog is welcome to do the same! We can assess how the dogs get along and decide how to leave them if I have to step outside—we also have baby gates where I can separate the dogs if that’s best. I do not have any children so there aren’t little toys for your dog to get into, and I’ll keep all food and shoes put away. I like to think my apartment is quiet and cozy, so I’ll be sure to provide a calm environment for your pet! I am able to go to your home and meet your pet in their familiar space. I am open to all notes and tidbits about your home, your neighborhood, etc so that your pet has the best experience with me.
About: Hello!! My names Tatum I’ve taken care of pets my whole life, my best friend when i was born was a weenie dawg, but i’ve had 4 dogs total in my life. I currently have 3 cuddly cats and a 1yr old, big ol handsome lab! I can do day or overnight sitting in my own apartment, I know there’s no straight access to a backyard :(( but i take my dog to the apartments dog park twice a day for 30-90mins. My apartment also has a nice big field right outside my door that i take them to go potty as many times needed! I live with my fiance and we work opposite shifts so someone is always awake! I don’t have any experience with shot medications but i sure know how to hide a pill in some chicken or cheese! We have plenty of toys to play with and my lab LOVES making new friends, he always has a ton of energy to keep your furr baby busy! If your dog needs to be crated or isn’t crate trained i can accommodate that, i have big crate here or you’re welcome to bring your own. Im available for overnight boarding/day sitting on the weekends (Fri@4:00pm - Sun@11:00pm) I work full time(M-F) 2 minutes away from my apartment and can go home on breaks. And they wouldn’t mind if i needed to leave for 10 minutes for a potty break. So if you absolutely need me to watch on a weekday i can make accommodations. My fiance will be home during the day since he works an opposite shift but probably asleep. I also have a camera in the living room. We can crate if crate trained if you feel more comfortable with that! My puppy had a bad chewing habit when he was little, so we only keep the floors clean (except for toys of course) I can easily crate your dog if needed. Dogs are allowed on furniture for maximum cuddles :)

About: I grew up with cats and dogs my whole life. As an adult, I’ve adopted a cat and dog from a local animal shelter and hope to foster in the near future. I will work my day job M-F so will spend my weekends taking care of furry friends. Occasionally, I will make my weekdays available when I have the opportunity to do so. I have taken care of neighbor’s pets for years while they are gone on vacation and have gone above and beyond in taking their dogs for walks and providing them with necessary attention. With cats, I have also cleaned litter boxes, played with them, and provided several updates for their parents.
“5 stars all the way, if there were 6 stars she would get that too! I never have to worry about my elderly cat Matty when i go away for a week. Kristen always takes superb care of Matty and goes above and beyond. Often when i come back he has more toys than what i left him with!”

“Olivia was fantabulous!! I was nervous about using a service to take care of my big old guy. I have always had family and friends available to take care of my fur babies until now. After meeting Olivia, I was able to rid my anxiety. She sent lots of pics. She loved on my fur baby at each of the visits she made while I was out of town. She sent updates and even gave him his meds. I will definitely be asking her to pet sit again.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Woodland
She was an absolute gem while watching my cats during my recent trip. From the very beginning, her communication was outstanding she sent the sweetest little prompts and cute photo updates that made me feel so connected and reassured while I was away. Seeing my kitty happily playing, lounging in her favorite spots, and clearly well cared for in those pictures was such a relief and honestly made my vacation even better. She did a fantastic job my cat was happy, healthy, and well fed when I returned. Even though I completely forgot to tell her where the extra kitty litter was stored (total brain fart on my part!), she handled everything with such grace and resourcefulness. That level of sweetness and professionalism really stood out to me. If you’re looking for a caring, attentive, and genuinely awesome cat sitter, look no further. Adaline is the real deal I’ll definitely be booking her again for future trips! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 349 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Woodland. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Woodland. On Rover:
- 98% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
