About: Hey there! I’m Kaley, a lover of all animals! I have been around and working with animals nearly my entire life — rats, hamsters, birds, frog, horses, goats and of course, cats and dogs. I currently work in the veterinary medicine industry as a veterinarian recruiter, and work 98% from home. I currently have two fur babies of my own, Milo and Zima. You haven’t seen spoiled until you’ve met them, they run the household...and they know it. A future puppy is on the way, hopefully! I grew up pet sitting for a few neighbors which then grew by word of mouth — I eventually became my towns pet sitter! Whether you have cats, dogs, horses or more, I will provide the highest quality care for your fur baby, just as I do mine. I will cater to your animals needs — young dog that needs to run or an old pal that just needs to snuggle, i’m down for whatever! I work full-time, however am 98% remote, with limited work travel to veterinary conferences. I can work anywhere, anytime with my flexible schedule. My flexible schedule allows for me to spend all day with your animal(s) in your home or my home. I have an energetic Labrador, who likes to be friends with everyone! I have a fully fenced in yard, along with an in-ground pool that my Labrador loves to enjoy all summer long! There is currently a cover on the pool, preventing swimming. Regardless, dogs are not left unattended outside, no matter the time of year.
“We have used (and commented) Brady in the past who is always great. Adding another review because I felt like she went above and beyond for us this time. On the second day of our vacation our dog was sick and showing signs of a UTI. Brady graciously took our dog to the vet to be looked at, got her started on new food and even gave her medication that wasn’t anticipated. Additionally she had to deal with and clean up several accidents that occurred but always did so graciously and was very communicative during the whole ordeal. We eventually came out early but were so grateful for Brady.”

“Stephanie was excellent! I had to book last minute because my other Rover Sitter cancelled, and she was able to quickly make a stop in visit to meet my cat. I received pictures and updates about everything that was going on. It just made my vacation so much more relaxing knowing that I had someone as attentive as Stephanie watching my cat!”

“Haley was great as usual taking care of our 2 dogs. She was always on time and our dogs love her. Our lab is getting older and needed some extra attention which she provided graciously. Thanks again!!!”

“Heather is great! She responded quickly to my request, she communicated clearly, was on time, and my dogs loved her (especially when she played their favorite ball game!). Highly recommend her!”

“Jeffrey took great care with our three cats and communicated with us every day, sending us notes and photos. He is a pleasure to work with and gave us such peace of mind knowing all was well at home. This is our second time working with Jeffrey and he will continue to be our first choice whenever he is available.”

About: I have taken care of a lot of dogs over the years but now I'm looking for a new adventure with Rover. I promise the best for your dog I currently have a job but having another dog around the house or a dog to go and walk would not be an inconvenience at all We have a Yorkie at home and she pretty much does whatever she wants. Your dog would be treated exactly the same. She gets along with other dogs very well and knows how to handle herself around larger dogs

About: I've been taking care of animals my whole life. As a child, wife, mom and teacher, I have taken care of and loved many animals over the years. I have experience with dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, frogs, turtles, birds, fish. As an educator, I have open availability during the summer. I'd love to show your pet some extra TLC during your workday to ease your mind! I have all of my security clearances as an educator. About: I’ve always had multiple pets my whole life from a young age, learned responsibilities by feeding, grooming, walking, entertaining, training and medically providing for all my pets and any animal in my care. I have experience working in multiple vet clinics throughout my childhood as I was a pre-vet major up until junior year of college so I have a lot of experience with all kinds of animals and medical knowledge as well. I now have my own dog, Appa, who is 2 that I raised from a puppy and am currently self training. I am currently a phd grad student at vanderbilt university so I have morning classes and lab work, but I live right down the road from campus (less than 5 min drive) and I always come home immediately after my classes/work to be home with Appa. Pet care fits into my daily schedule as I spend as much time as i can working from home so I can be with my dog. I have a 1 bedroom apartment and i live with my 2 year old fur baby named Appa! I have an apt with room for some zoomies and room to play with toys, I have a balcony if they like being outside and my buidling also has a small dog park on the roof with 2 fenced circular yards lined with turf so they can run around at a mini park as much as they want!

About: Hi! My name is Vanessa, I am a graduate of Kutztown University with a degree in Special Education and two minors in social work and case management. I am seeking positions as a dog sitter as an additional gig. I have prior experience working with dogs and kittens/cats at the EASEL shelter so I am comfortable around animals. I personally do not own a dog, but I love the happiness and companionship a dog and cat gives. Being a sitter allows me to gain the proper experience I need to be able to own a dog in the future! I have experience in dog walking, drop-ins, and house-sitting (for both pets and the elderly). I have my own method of transportation, and a flexible schedule. I hope to meet you shortly!

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover and the proud owner of my cat, Bubba, who has taught me a lot about patience, routine, and the small things that make pets feel safe. I’ve helped friends and family care for their dogs and cats for years: feeding, walks, playtime, medication, and just being a calm presence while they’re away. I’m reliable, communicative, and happy to send photo updates so you know your pet is in good hands. Whether your dog needs a long walk or your cat just wants company, I’ll treat them like my own. I have a flexible schedule and can fit pet care into most parts of my day. I’m available for morning and evening walks during the week, drop-in visits midday, and longer stays on weekends. I’ll always confirm timing in advance and stick to the routine you set for your pet: consistency matters, especially for younger or older animals. I offer drop-in visits and walks at your home, so your pet stays in the environment they know best. I’ll follow your house rules, keep doors and gates secured, and send photo updates during each visit. I live with my cat Bubba in a calm, smoke-free home, so I’m comfortable around animals who are shy or take time to warm up. If anything seems off, appetite, behavior, or health, I’ll reach out right away.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
