“Kim was amazing with our 2 fur babies ! She made it so easy and eased our minds about leaving our puppets at home under her care. Falkor and Seraphina immediately took to Kim and were sad when it was time for her to go home. Highly recommend Kim ❣️❣️❣️🐾🐾🐾🐾”

About: Howdy! I’m Breanne, a lifelong animal lover with both personal and professional pet care experience. In addition to being a devoted pet owner, I worked at a dog boarding facility where I cared for dogs & cats of all sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities. This experience taught me how to safely handle multiple dogs, recognize signs of stress or illness, and provide attentive, compassionate care. Today, I share my home with three dogs and a cat, so caring for animals is truly part of my everyday life. As a stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide plenty of attention, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. Whether your pet needs a walk, a drop-in visit, feeding, medication administration, extra playtime, or simply someone to keep them company while you’re away, I’ll treat them with the same care and love I give my own pets. As a pet parent myself, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family member. I’ll provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, comfortable, and happy. My Experience Includes: * Professional experience at a dog boarding facility * Caring for multiple dogs and cats daily * Experience with puppies, adult dogs, and senior pets * Comfortable with a variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments * Experienced with oral medications and routine pet care. Please discuss any specialized medical needs prior to booking. * Feeding, exercise, enrichment, and companionship I look forward to meeting you and your pets and providing dependable, loving care while you’re away! 🐾💛🐶🐱❤️🤗 Caring for animals is already part of my everyday routine. As a stay-at-home mom with three dogs and a cat, I’m used to providing consistent care, exercise, enrichment, and companionship throughout the day. Being home allows me to give pets plenty of attention and maintain their normal routines as closely as possible while their owners are away. I care for pets in the client’s home, where they feel most comfortable and secure. I focus on maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, exercise, playtime, and companionship. I also make sure the home is respected and left as it was, and I provide regular updates and photos so owners know how their pets are doing.
“Paige did a phenomenal job watching my 107lb German Shepherd. I interviewed 5 girls & in about 1 week, my 8 yr old GSD accepted her into our family. This highly protective Police dog is now a puppy to Alanah. And she showed up for 4 hours every day during a week; never missing the appointed time. This gave me great comfort as I was on travels. I look forward to requesting Paige for her care, very soon. She is trustworthy, punctual & a sweet personality. And the birds naturally flock to her. She has a gift with animals.”

“Emma was fantastic! We have five dogs and two cats and I was nervous about leaving the Country for a week. We definitely have a house full and Emma handled everything professionally and treated our dogs like her own. She was very communicative and set pictures often. The house was tidy when we got back and all of our pets where well taken care of. We would 💯 hire Emma again.”

“Taylor did an amazing job with my big babies. He was very responsible and kept me informed daily. I felt like he loved my pups so well, they barely missed me. lol I will definitely use him again.”

“Lindsey made me feel super at ease as a first time Rover user. I needed someone to house sit as well as pet sit and she made sure everything and everyone was well taken care of! When we arrived home the house was clean and the pets were happy! Highly recommend.”

“We loved getting all the pictures and videos. It was clear that our babies were being well loved in our absence. Joy was very respectful of our home and wishes. Jack and Callie can't wait to have Auntie Joy come back!”

“She took care of our two senior dogs and one cat. One of our buds had some unexpected tummy issues and Jayne cleaned up the best she could and communicated with us the whole time.”
About: I have had extensive experience with dogs, cats and exotic pets! Everything from personally caring for my own dog with allergies and anxiety to caring for medical fosters. I am experienced with high need pets and able to adapt my behavior to thier needs. I have a flexible schedule this summer and would love to help you out! Right now I am taking the summer to get ready for graduate school. This means I have a super open and flexible schedule. My day typically starts with exercise and ends with reading a book. This leaves plenty of time for me to meet and accommodate your needs. Care for pets is often determined but the pet themselves. Do you have a high energy working breed or an anxious low energy chihuahua? I am fully prepared to meet you and your pet where you are at!
“Melissa was wonderful with our two dogs! We appreciated all of the pictures she sent and how thorough she was when reviewing their schedules. We will definitely book with Melissa again!”

“Abby was excellent with our pups, sent us pictures throughout the week which always helps me so much when I am away from my dogs. We came back to a very clean house and happy dogs. Which is a plus for me. We will definitely use Abby again when we need a dog/house sitter. We were very pleased.”

“Anna is wonderful and I am so happy we have found her. She is great with our two puppies and I do not have to worry when I leave the house. I completely trust her and appreciate her help! I highly recommend Anna !!”

“Allison did a great job sitting with our dog while we were on vacation. She asked questions and sent pictures to let us know our pup was ok. We will definitely use Allison again.”

“Erin took great care of our dog for 4 days. She stayed in our home and took him on multiple walks per day. She communicated with us on how things were going while we were out of town. We would definitely book her again!”

About: 2+ years of experience in kennel and veterinary settings- working with both cats and dogs with a variety of temperaments and ensuring their best experience while boarding! Dog and cat sitting experience for 10+ friends and family members countless times- comfortable with talks and indoor enrichment activities regardless of species. I currently work part-time during weekends, meaning I'm usually free Monday-Friday to play with and walked pups and cats whenever they need it! With my years of experience working with vet clinics and adjacent boarding facilities, I am comfortable working with animals with a variety of sizes and temperaments. I am more than comfortable to play inside, take dogs (or cats, if you want) on long walks, play outside, and monitor behavior to ensure beloved pets remain safe and healthy in the heat of summer.
About: I have been the sole provider of care for my own dog since I was 15 years old, 12 years ago now. I love all animals even if they don’t love me immediately. I believe that all animals deserve attention and patience in all aspects of their care. All pets have their quirks and I am willing to accommodate weird requests! I am currently a graduate student and I am only working part time. I currently do not have a pet of my own at home anymore so I am free to do house sitting and overnight stays with pets if needed. I am also willing to do consistent check ins and work that inti my schedule if needed. Part of my job requires me to teach in 3 hour blocks but I would responsibly be able to check on or do potty breaks within 2-4 hours if needed, especially for seniors or puppies that may need a higher level of care. I am currently unable to take pets in at my house because my roommate has two cats that can be reactive to outside pets. I am completely willing to house sit and watch pets in your home, which maybe be less stressful for many pets as they can keep a sense of familiarity while you are away. I am willing to follow routines and try to keep their care as similar as possible to the care they would typically receive when you are home. I am also not opposed to giving extra pets and snuggles if you pet gets a lonely in you absence!
The median cost per night for house sitting in Wooddale is $50
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wooddale
Tatum took such amazing care of our puppy, Walter, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. He’s still young and very routine-oriented, and she handled everything with so much patience, attentiveness, and genuine kindness. It was clear she really cared about making sure he felt comfortable, safe, and loved while we were away. She kept us updated, was wonderful to communicate with, and treated Walter like he was her own. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such caring and capable hands. We came home to a happy, relaxed, and well-cared-for puppy, which means everything to us. We are so grateful for the care she gave Walter and would absolutely trust her to watch him again in a heartbeat. I would highly, highly recommend Tatum to anyone looking for a thoughtful, reliable, and genuinely caring dog sitter!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wooddale walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wooddale maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wooddale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wooddale. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
