“My friend and I were traveling through Michigan and I hadn't planned to bring my 15 year old baby because he's never stayed over at a stranger's house, but all of the wonderful reviews of Darla convinced me! We got daily videos and updates of our pups and I felt so safe leaving him there and seeing him cuddled up on the couch and wagging his tail with the other dogs. He obviously loved the big beautiful backyard and even though he's deaf and a bit of an escape artist neither was ever an issue. Would absolutely bring him back if we're in the area again!”

“Patty, Thank you very much!! Because of you, I was able to focus on what I needed to do, and knew I didn't have to worry about how my dog was doing. Thank you!”

“Lauren was absolutely amazing with my 16-year-old Chihuahua, Ralph! This was his first time staying with a sitter instead of family or friends, and I couldn’t be happier with how it went. She kept me updated throughout the day with messages and photos, which really put my mind at ease. Ralph did great—even around her two much larger dogs, which was such a relief! Lauren created a calm, safe environment, and her communication was top-notch. I’m so grateful for the care she gave him and would 100% book with her again. Highly recommend!”

“We love leaving our dog with Monique and her family! Our boxer has some anxiety but eats and does well while at their house. I love knowing my little guy is well taken care of and loved.”

About: I come from a family that has always sheltered, rescued, and spoiled all the fur babies that come into our lives. Patience and affection are our gifts. I work from home part time. That leaves my schedule open to caring for others pets in my home or for drop ins and walks. I have a fenced in yard and a large home with plenty of room. If your pupper is unfamiliar with cats I can ensure safe space kept between them. Walks, couch potato time, and kiddos in and out make for plenty of love and activity. My children are old enough to provide respectful space to pets that need it.
“Jamie is a 5 star dog sitter. Her and her family brought our dog, Brodie, in and made him part of their family. She sent pictures and communicated with us daily. Definitely will hire her again.”

About: I’ve always grown up with many different kinds of animals from horses to dogs to bunnies. I have always been responsible for taking care of my own and family pets since I can remember. Some facts about me :) I am married and have two pets; a dog and cat. I love to bake, garden and swim. I am also an administrative assistant. I am available after work during the week, weekends and during lunch hours. I can provide meals, walks, potty breaks, play times and cuddles. Please reach out and ask any questions. 😊 My goal is to honor and glorify the Lord in all that I do and say. I believe in honesty, truth and love. I also believe that God has given humans a responsibility to be stewards to His creation, including animals (Genesis 1:26, Proverbs 12:10).
About: I don’t have “professional” pet sitting experience but I do have personal experiences. My grandmother had puppies that I helped caring for them. She had two shih Tzu puppies that I loved like they were my own. Sadly, they both passed away around the same time. I know how important it is to take care of your pets because pets are more like family than animals. So, I hope that you will trust me enough to take care of your family. I will listen to what you need to me to do. I can be flexible and go beyond the call of duty if necessary. I am open to learning whatever is necessary to be a great caretaker. I hope you choose me. Thank you very much❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾. I work in the evenings. So, I’m free every morning. I can take your pet out for walks or dog sit overnight. My schedule can be flexible I can take your pet out for walks or I can dog sit at night. If your pet needs a companion, I can do that also
“Reyna was so kind to take our dogs last minute. She watched them for two nights and sent cute pictures and updates daily. Both my pups were well taken care of while with Reyna. Would highly recommend!”

“We have a 4month old Belgian Malinois and needed a sitter for the night. Rachel took us last minute, with a days notice& took great care of our little guy. We received a few photos, which were absolutely adorable. We saw a big difference between dropping him off at Rachel's and a doggy daycare. We would highly highly recommend her!”

“Thank you Megan for being a wonderful dog sitter for Coco! I was worried about leaving her for the first time and you eased my concerns very quickly on the phone. Appreciate all the pictures and text while we were away. That helped us know she was happy & being well taken care of with walks and snuggle time. I will highly recommend you to my friends & anyone looking for a sweet dog sitter (without pets of her own). Again a huge thank you! We will be in touch in a few weeks to schedule another over night stay for Coco. Karen”

“Wow, Marissa is the best. We got photos frequently and reports of how our furry friend was doing. She was very responsive and flexible with our crazy work schedules. Best sitter ever!”

“Thank you for looking after Maizy, twice! I appreciate the communication and photos sent, I know she had a very good stay with your family :) I’d be very happy to book with you all again!!”

“Our golden retriever always has the best time at Caroline’s! She sends updates and photos during his stay and gives him all the love! We will always request her to babysit him if she is available. Thank you!”

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Wolf Lake.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
