“After an unpleasant experience with a larger pet-care facility, we knew Brinkley needed something different—a warm, loving home environment where she would feel safe, comfortable, and truly cared for. Finding Judy was just what we were hoping for. From the very beginning, she was kind, attentive, and thoughtful, giving Brinkley the same loving, personalized care she receives at home. Her genuine affection for her and attention to every detail gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that Brinkley felt happy, relaxed, and right at home with her. We are so grateful to Judy for providing such exceptional, just-like-home care and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving pet sitter.”

About: I’ve always been a lover of animals. I have my own 2 cats and doggo and they’re my whole world. Before that I had family dogs and cats ever since I was young and they were my favorite thing to see when I came home after a long day. I love to workout with people themselves and animals! It benefits everyone to get up and move throughout the day. Plus dogs should get to experience the world around them too! I’m a stay at home mom, I am expecting our first baby in December. So once the baby is here, I may take a break for a little bit, but I’ll be back! I’m available to walk during typical business hours while my husband is working. I have a two story spacious home with a large fenced in backyard! Our bedroom is on the first floor so even if the dogs are older, they wouldn’t need to go up any stairs. I have a loving dog that will play and run around with them and 2 cats! One is super friendly and will play with them. The other is a little more timid and will most likely just hide.

“Elaine and her family were wonderful. They treated my dogs like their own. Elaine handled my rambunctious 1 year old dog, Annika like a professional dog trainer and Goose, my 4 year old, enjoyed home school with her daughters. Petunia, Elaine's family dog is very sweet and gets along very well with other dogs. I will definitely look to Elaine in the future for any pet boarding needs.”

“Jeneen was attentive. She spoke very kindly to Ruby and Lizzy and encouraged them to eat and play. We got pictures and videos at each visit and she wasn’t in a rush but spent time with them. when I introduced Lizzy to Jeneen Lizzy hissed at her so during our time away, she allowed our Lizzy the space needed to warm up to her. By the end of the time, Lizzy was coming to Jeneen when called. Thank you for your care for our girls!”

About: I’ve cared for animals for many years and truly treat every pet like family. I understand how important it is to feel at peace when someone else is caring for your pets, and I take that responsibility seriously. I offer dependable, attentive care with a calm and nurturing presence. I’m experienced with daily routines, feeding, walks, administering basic medications, and making sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved in their own environment. I’m especially patient with shy or anxious pets and gentle with senior animals who need a little extra care and attention. I had my precious doggy (the yellow guy) for over 17 years and held him until his last breath. He was a larger breed and I didn’t expect him to live that long! I also brought my Persian kitty (almost quite literally) back to life after he was badly injured-likely a car accident. He was on a feeding tube for months and I cleaned and dressed his wounds, prepared his liquid food and kept him going when I was 8 years old. He eventually moved out with me to my first house and peacefully passed away on my bed ❤️‍🩹 As a mom, I bring a natural level of responsibility, awareness, and consistency into everything I do. You can trust that your pets—and your home—are in caring, capable hands. I’m happy to send updates and photos so you can feel connected while you’re away 💛 Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I’m intentional about being reliable and consistent. I plan my schedule around each pet’s needs, whether that’s morning, midday, evening, or nighttime visits. I’m flexible and do my best to accommodate last-minute requests when I’m available. Your pet’s routine and comfort always come first. I care for pets in their own home where they feel most comfortable and secure. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding, routines, medications, and any special care needs. I’m respectful of your home, keep things clean, and ensure doors, gates, and pets are always secure. I prioritize calm, attentive care so your pet feels safe and at ease while you’re away.

The average cost of Dog Boarding in Winstead Crossroads is $38 per night as of November 2026. Most bookings cost between $27 and $52 per night. On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets, and your pet’s specific needs. As of November 2026, there are 531 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Winstead Crossroads. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.

96% of sitters in Winstead Crossroads can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Winstead Crossroads home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Winstead Crossroads.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Winstead Crossroads sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
