“She was professional and sent photos when I asked. She is a true dog lover. I was nervous because I never left my babies for such a long period of time. She made it an easy transition for them and for me. Well most definitely use her services again.”

“Shekenia is amazing. My babies love her and they were well taken care of. The consistent updates and pictures were awesome. Thank you so much for taking care of my babies as if they were your own.”

“Thank you, Gail, for your loving and attentive care! You helped ease my dog’s anxiety, especially during the July 4th fireworks. The updates and photos gave me great peace of mind during my trip.”

“Kelly and Jacob were great. They took care of my hyper 3month old Lab puppy for the weekend. My dog seemed to feel safe with them as he was cuddling up with the kids on the couch. Kelly was great about sending pictures of my puppy during his stay and made me not have to worry about if he was okay.”

“Brian was ABSOLUTELY fantastic! I could not be anymore thankful for finding someone to cat sit for my Rose. He was extremely loving, caring, and attentive to her while making sure she was comfortable and adjusted. I will definitely be reaching out to him again for future visits to watch Rose and recommend him to anyone!”

“Mitzi was great! Our dog had so much fun at her house. It was so nice to get little updates and pictures while we were gone. We will definitely be booking with her again.”

“Susan and Mike were amazing with Athena! They clearly took great care of and loved on her while we were traveling. My pup keeps trying to get through a doggy door that doesn’t exist at my house. 😂 Highly recommend and will definitely reserve with Susan again!”

“Judy watched Bennie for a long weekend while I was out of town and this being the first time I’ve left him with someone for that long, I was nervous. But Judy was incredibly sweet and so was her puppy. Bennie was well taken care of and I got lots of pictures. She has a very nice fenced in yard and lets the dogs come and go as they please. I will definitely be using Judy again!”

“Kimberly was great with Brandy. Brandy has separation anxiety but it didn't seem like it while she was with Kimberly. I received pictures and videos of Brandy. I am very well pleased and will be using her services again.”

“Randy is always great and willing to help at any time. At the last minute she even allowed me to add my Grand dogs. She is the best when it come to keeping your fur babies! The boys really enjoyed!”

“Dior had a great stay at Marissa & Mosieo’s. They have two small dogs & a fenced in yard so she had play buddies, space & time to run around. Marissa shared a video of pure joy. She made herself at home.”

“We needed to board Cotton, our 7-month-old Cock-a-poo for four days while my husband was in the hospital. To say we were apprehensive was a huge understatement! It was our first time boarding him. We picked Scott and Heather from their Profile on Rover and then arranged a “Meet-and-Greet” to assure ourselves that Cotton would be a good fit. Cotton weighs 11 pounds and Scott has larger dogs who turned out to be gentle companions. At this initial meeting, Scott was able to satisfactorily answer every question we had, to include such things as “how do we prevent Cotton from running away since he has to be “on leash” whenever a door is opened?” Or, “How do you plan to feed him since he grazes and he’ll be around the other dogs?” Every question—Answered! And, he was very flexible with our arrival and pick-up schedules, which were hard for us to nail down! From shortly after we dropped Cotton off, Scott sent us pictures of how he was getting along with the family and the family dogs. We began to relax! Over the next couple of days, and with our encouragement, Scott sent multiple pics and even a few videos to show us how our pup was getting along. He showed pics of Cotton with his other dogs, with his family and even a pic of an exhausted Cotton asleep on his lap! We were very grateful! We would be more than happy to leave Cotton with this family again! And we would highly recommend them for your pet’s boarding.”

“Naomi was fantastic! She was easy to coordinate with & took great care of my dog! My dog is older & can be difficult when it comes to eating right away or wanting attention. But she was very accommodating to his needs & helped him settle in quickly! I loved receiving the photo & vid updates during his stay!”

“Tokena provided great care for Beans in my absence. She is very dependable and make you feel comfortable leaving your fur baby. She stayed in contact and provided me with pictures that warmed my heart. She is surely added to my list for many more stays.”

“This is my first time using Rover. I loved Dominique. She provided a lot of updates. She was extremely patient with my pup and senior dog who is now blind. I have a lot of comfort now knowing I have another reliable and caring dog sitter when needed.”
“This was my Hazel’s first time staying with Sarai. So glad we found her when our regular sitter wasn’t available. Sarai took great care of Hazel! She gave me updates and was very responsive. I highly recommend Sarai and will definitely use her again.”

“Danielle is amazing! She took care of our dog as if he was her own and kept me updated with videos and pictures every day. I have nothing but a heart full of gratitude for her. I am Lucky to have found her. Thank you for everything Danielle! ♥️”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
