They have very different personalities, so I am used to the high energy, crazy pups, as well as the more timid ones that may need to warm up to me for a little bit! About: We brought home our 1st puppy when our eldest daughter was 8 weeks old. Everything since then has been easy! Currently have an 8yr old Golden Retriever with a fenced in backyard. Each of our grown children took in a dog or puppy once they had their own homes. We have had cats, hamsters, fish, and guinea pigs over the years. I'm recently semi-retired and my daughters have used Rover for their dogs in far away states. I thought it would be a nice way to give our dog a playmate every once in a while.
