“What a wonderful, stress-free experience we had with LaToya! Our sweet little dog is a bit on the anxious side, she's almost 11, but still becomes pretty nervous on the way to the groomer and vet. She's slow to warm up to new people, but surprisingly, she immediately took to LaToya! This literally has never happened, so I knew right away that it was a match made in heaven! LaToya was incredibly responsive, shared pics daily and provided updates about our little one's adjustment process and her week. Leaving our dog with LaToya felt like leaving her with family. About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, and I’ve raised my Labrador from a tiny puppy to the sweet senior she is today. Caring for her through every stage—training, high energy years, and now her slower senior days has given me hands on experience with all kinds of needs and personalities. I’ve also cared for multiple dogs at once and have handled overnight stays with up to six dogs for several days at a time. Whether it’s feeding schedules, medications, walks, playtime, or just keeping everyone calm and happy, I’m comfortable managing a busy, furry household. I am currently a college student with a very flexible schedule. I would love to be able to help people out in my free time, whether that be just letting a dog out or taking them for a walk. About: Animals are Gods among us. I agree with Ricky Gervais, that "a dog loves you more than it loves itself, and that's why I worship dogs." Honestly, this gig is a bit selfish - my sweet baby Pit Mix passed away recently & I miss her terribly. I'm certain that engaging with animals will soothe this depression. I am socially awkward with humans, but I love animals. This will be therapy, a true gift, to me. I also need to exercise more and would like to be able to afford any kind of home, some day. My family has had pets since I was in kindergarten. I volunteered with Faithful Friends in High School, through which I also fostered kittens. I have taken care of my neighbors' & friends' pets while away over the years, which I equate to a collective total of ~2 years. I take medical issues very seriously & cared for my doll when she was ill. I understand how stressful & important it is. My favorite thing about walking a dog is when the folded tops of their ears bounce up and down. I work full time until ~4:30PM, but I am usually free after. I am available for boarding on the weekends. On the days I work from home (typically Monday & Wednesday), I can also provide a walk or check in during my lunch hour (1 to 2PM). There are no other animals or children in my home; your pet will have my undivided attention. I have a large partially fenced in yard, and many walking trails nearby. I'm also happy to take care of a pet in your home, if preferred.
About: I have taken care of neighbors’ and grandparents’ dogs as well as my own. I love dogs more than most people and would do anything to protect them and keep them happy. As a college student away from my fur babies at home, this fits perfectly into my schedule. I have a lot of time on my hands until I start grad school this summer! I will just be taking the fur babies for walks as I am in an apartment that unfortunately does not allow pups. I will use safe paths or neighborhoods as well as any parks or fields that allow us!

About: We brought home our 1st puppy when our eldest daughter was 8 weeks old. Everything since then has been easy! Currently have an 8yr old Golden Retriever with a fenced in backyard. Each of our grown children took in a dog or puppy once they had their own homes. We have had cats, hamsters, fish, and guinea pigs over the years. I'm recently semi-retired and my daughters have used Rover for their dogs in far away states. I thought it would be a nice way to give our dog a playmate every once in a while. About: I have extensive experience caring for dogs, including my previous dog, an 80-pound Golden Retriever. She could be reactive toward other dogs while on leash, so I became very comfortable handling strong dogs, staying calm in challenging situations, and maintaining control even when she was pulling. I used to have a German shepherd and Pomeranian, sadly they have both passed now due to old age. About: ever since I was younger, I’ve been infatuated with all kinds of animals. I even wanted to be a vet. I was the six-year-old that neighbors trusted to watch over their dogs while they stepped out for a second and I even taught them some tricks. They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks well that’s a lie. I’ve done it myself. It just takes a little extra persistence. I love all animals so I just plan to keep an eye on them, keep their brains teased and maybe even try to teach them a few tricks and do a few enrichment games like hide and seek where they have to use their nose or lick mats or even fetch it all just depends on the pet!
About: I’ve taken care of family and friends’ dogs throughout the past few years. I provided whatever they needed whether that was feeding, walking, or playing. I’m currently working a part time restaurant job that never ends later than 10:30 pm. So I will have plenty of time to take care of pets overnight and during the day. About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, and I’ve raised my Labrador from a tiny puppy to the sweet senior she is today. Caring for her through every stage—training, high energy years, and now her slower senior days has given me hands on experience with all kinds of needs and personalities. I’ve also cared for multiple dogs at once and have handled overnight stays with up to six dogs for several days at a time. Whether it’s feeding schedules, medications, walks, playtime, or just keeping everyone calm and happy, I’m comfortable managing a busy, furry household. I am currently a college student with a very flexible schedule. I would love to be able to help people out in my free time, whether that be just letting a dog out or taking them for a walk. I am completely available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays until four. Even outside of these three days I have a lot of flexibility! I care for other people’s animals as if they are my own.
