A second home for your dogs!Kissimmee, FL

I live in a lovely two story townhouse in a very safe and quiet neighborhood. Your dogs will have their own space but also will be able to interact with other dogs if they want to. If you would like to see your dogs during their stay, I am able to use Tango, FaceTime or Skype so you can monitor your dogs from time to time. I have already determined to dedicate all of my time to not only take care of your dogs but to make sure that they have a pleasant stay. They are no kids in the house, my only son is 20 years old and is constantly working and out the house as well as my husband. So again I will dedicate myself to them. For each dog, I would like to know their daily routine as in eating or walking, so they wouldn't have to break it. I really want them to feel at home.

About this sitter:

A little bit about myself is that I am a very loving and passionate person especially for Dogs. I have many years of experience with kids and have had many pets through out the years. I think a good quality of mine that makes me very qualified to take care Dogs is that I am very patient and also that I am very calm and peaceful person. All of my time will be dedicated to your dogs.

Why I love dog sitting

Honestly, I've been a dog lover since I had my first dog when I was ten years old. And I would always go to my friends' house and spend time with their dogs and would dog sit them from time to time.

About my yard

I have an open backyard but I have small fences that would prevent your dogs from running away.

My experience administering medication

Of Course as long as its not a needle injection.

Your dogs home-away-from-home!Millenia, Orlando, FL

Hey friends! My name is Mariela, and I'm an empty nester who loves dogs! I have over 15 years of experience taking care of pets and 2 years in this business. In the past, I have been the sole caregiver to countless dogs, hamsters, rabbits, and even snakes!

I live in beautiful sunny Orlando, FL, and have my own house with a big fenced in yard that is very safe, and perfect for dogs to run around and play! I work with my husband, and we love to go to the dog park and have fun together. I have a dog of my own and she loves to make new friends and play. Once I started dog boarding, I decided to quit my day job and dedicate to my passion for animals. If you're going on vacation, and looking for a trustworthy, honest, and dog-loving dog sitter, look no further - send your requests! In order to keep a safe environment for all dogs, we are not accepting requests for aggressive dogs, and I am currently only accepting dogs under 15 lbs. I don't accept pitbull

Hola amigos!

I'm home 24/7 - Small dogs onlyMaitland, FL

💕💕3/30/2020- I am taking bookings through this COVID-19 quarantine! If we have never met and you need an immediate booking for your SMALL dog, I am happy to forego the Meet & Greet. I so rarely leave the house that exposure to myself is improbable. As luck would have it, my husband broke his leg just before the crisis and has been recovering at home. So while inconvenient, he’s been self quarantined by “accident”.😉 Send me a message if you need daycare or boarding for your small dog. Stay safe!

** To see current & past stays, please check out my Facebook page, Denise's Dogcation

I post videos several times each day for parents to watch at their convenience

** I only take SMALL dogs. If you are like me and don't feel comfortable with your little Prince or Princess being around bigger dogs (no matter how nice) PLEASE double check the sitter profiles for their accepted weight ranges AND pets in their home

** I have SEVERAL older clients. Many on medication 1, 2 or 3 X/day. Some blind and/or deaf. They have all been repeat clients and feel very comfortable here. I get to know them and their own special needs as well as their signals letting me know what they want.

** I have had many unsocialized guests. Ones that had NEVER been around other dogs. Their parents were worried how they would do. They ALL did quite well becoming social. Most have repeated. One was able to get a SISTER and they both come here now!

** 08/16/17 I had white vinyl fence installed! I updated my photos.

** Both Faline and Buttercup have had their Canine Influenza shots.

I am a married, 52 year old woman who has had at least one dog all of my adult life. For several years I had FIVE! (3 Chow Chows, my first Chihuahua and a Pomeranian. They have all since crossed the Rainbow Bridge.)

I am very experienced with giving oral medications at specific times per day as well as ear & eye drops. I also have experience with blind/sight impaired and deaf/hearing impaired dogs. They have all gotten along just fine in my home. Faline's previous sister, Flower, was a rescue who had been abused. She was blind and suffered seizures. Faline was her seeing eye dog and comforted her through seizures as well. Flower crossed the Rainbow Bridge, Good Friday 2016. Faline is quite the employee here and Ambassador for the guests. We brought 5 month old Faline home 3/15/14.

From 2011 to June 2016 I worked from home. Since then I had been a housewife. We have carry bags and strollers so Faline had never been without Mom and/or Dad. I enjoyed being a housewife for several months but wanted to find a "job" that I love. After my husband, I couldn't think of anything I love more than my Faline! I knew others feel the same so I wanted to provide a safe, fun and comfortable place for parents to drop off their babies. Once or twice, a couple of days a week, every work day or when you take a long weekend or vacation? I'll treat yours like they're mine. Then in May, we really did bond with a guest as if she were our own. So much so that we let her parents know, IF there should ever come a time when they needed to find her a new home, PLEASE think of us. They had actually been wrestling with that VERY thought. A month later they asked if we would still add Buttercup to our family and we readily accepted. Now Faline has a sister once more. <3

While I do NOT have any breed restrictions, as I prefer not to judge all dogs by the actions of others, ALL guests MUST be UNDER 20 lbs and get along with other dogs.

I also do require your dog(s) be done with teething. (Typically by 8 months old) Those little, needle like, baby teeth are too much for other fur babies to handle. Being potty trained is important but accidents happen and that's OK. I have a dog door and tile flooring. Accidents are what "Nature's Miracle" and paper towels are for.

The main picture is the interior of our living room, taken from the "hall". The front door is open, showing our storm door complete with dog door. The next interior pic is from the opposite side, near the front door. The short hallway has the 2 bedroom doors. These doors would be closed during the day for everyone's and everything's safety. The 3rd & 4th interior pics are the kitchen. It can easily be blocked with our baby gate, should anyone have a need for solitude, peace, quiet, rest or recuperation.

The next pic shows my front door with dog door.

I have 2 fenced in areas. The one the dogs use has artificial turf and leaf covered soil, seen in the next pictures. 3 sides are 6 ft, white, vinyl fencing, the 4th side is the side of the house. The dog door goes out to this area. The gate stays locked and I added to the bottom to keep the littlest guests from getting stuck. The second area is zero-scaped with small rocks, part 6 ft wood fence, part vinyl and part 3 ft wood picket fence. It is not pictured and would NOT be used by the dogs. I mention it for information and to say there is quite a bit of space and barrier between our babies and other people or the street. ie, children walking to or from school would never even know there are dogs in my yard.

I added a picture of Faline napping after her grooming appointment, hence the bow. SO cute! I picked up a LOT of dog toys for the pictures but there is NO shortage of toys to play with. My husband (We met in 1980) works full time, Monday-Friday. For any Dog Parents who do the same and need a day care sitter, I will be the only one at my home. Anyone needing a sitter or boarding overnight or on the weekends can expect him to be home. He is a lifelong dog lover as well! His family had a Mini American Eskimo, Miniature Schnauzers and Dachshunds. But a LH Chihuahua (Faline) and a Shih/Yorkie mix (Buttercup) own him now! As other sections state, I do have a good size, fenced in, side yard. About 3/4 is artificial turf with the rest being leaf covered soil. Our front storm door has a dog door. Fencing with a locked gate leads dogs (and people) out to the side yard. Dogs typically have access to the dog door all day, weather permitting. Also stated in another section, we only take dogs that have been spayed or neutered. They must also be current on all shots/vaccinations/necessary licenses, flea & tick free. (So you know that any other dogs your pup is around are also ALL of these things) PLEASE complete your pet(s) profile with their care instructions, veterinary’s information and Emergency Contact information. Knowing your sitter has this info can put your mind at ease while you’re away.

You need only bring their food, favorite treats (If you like) and medications (If any) for the stay.

Also, check your calendar to make sure if there is any monthly or quarterly Heart Worm or flea medication that could be due during their stay.

(Do NOT bring any beds, blankets, bowls or toys. I have MORE than enough here and would hate for anything of yours to be damaged or lost.)

PLEASE TEXT/MESSAGE ONLY. (No phone calls please unless it’s an emergency)

I have my cell phone with me all the time so I can be reached or can respond quickly. I am home and available to watch your fur baby just about 24/7 as I am a happy housewife. If I ever have plans come up I would mark the calendar that I am unavailable, ahead of time.

Our home is nearly 3,000sf on 1.5ac. with a separate playground for small & special care dogs. I'm home nearly all the time, so dogs are rarely left unattended (or only briefly).

Why I love dog sitting

I've been a dog lover all my life. Growing up, I had all kinds of critters, but dogs have always been my passion. The dogs I've had throughout my life weren't my pets; they're my family!

Professionally, I worked as a kennel manager for a renowned show dog handler while in college. I've also worked in commercial, public kennels.

About my yard

Our guests can enjoy the great outdoors with over an acre to run, play, and fetch. (Always under close supervision) Please leash your pup when coming and going.

My experience administering medication

Not a problem. I've administered oral and injections; eye drops and ointments; and ear solutions. I consider administering medication to be a special care requirement and should be informed at the time of reservation. Depending on the level of care, additional fees may be required.

We would love to watch your dog(s)!

We are a married couple with a house that's built for dogs. We have both always had and loved pets, and have had our two (large) babies for 6 years! Our daughter Cheyenne loves dogs as well, and loves playing, cuddling, and sleeping with them. Our house has been recently remodeled with dogs in mind. We have a large artificial turf area in the backyard, as well as a real grass area. The dogs love it!! We also have an ALL NEW full outdoor fenced in dog run (potty area) The dog run is inescapable, and dig/climb proof as well (we've had many dogs try!) The dog run is accessible by a very large dog door, which is connected to a gated off interior room just for the dogs, which is completely dog proofed. (no crates required, but we do have one large crate if needed). We also have a very large dog bath located in the back yard which can accommodate any size dog. We also have a small pool and grass area to play in. Our backyard is completely fenced in by a 6 foot privacy fence, and sections of the yard are fenced off with chain link. We have three dogs, Riley, Roxy, and Ramses who love having dogs visit and loving having new playmates! Our great Dane mix Roxy LOVES tiny dogs, and she is very gentle with them (but they both like all dogs). Our 10 month old puppy (Ramses) has been raised on rover. He loves making and playing with new friends everyday! Our dogs are fully vaccinated and up to date, and can provide proof upon request. My husband used to work for a local deaf/blind Australian Shepard rescue, so he has a lot of experience with disabled dogs, and training dogs as well. We can offer full 24 hour supervision Every day!. My husband is home during the day to watch the dogs, and I work for the local school district and work 8am to 4 pm Monday through Friday, so I watch the dogs when I get home from work. We are centrally located in Orlando, within a 10-15 minute drive to Orlando international airport, 20 minutes from SeaWorld, Universal studios, and international drive. We are around 30 minutes from Disney.

*Note* We also have a ferret and two chinchillas, in case your dogs have allergies or an overactive prey drive.

Flea Policy

Due to the nature of rover ( having many different dogs come by the house daily), we have the house and our property professionally treated for flea prevention. This being Florida, once fleas have set in they are nearly impossible to eradicate. For the protection of your dogs, our dogs, and other client's dogs, we can not knowingly accept boarding or daycare requests for dogs that have fleas. If it is found that your dog(s) have fleas while in our care, they will be kept separated from the other dogs. At this point, you may choose to come pick up your dog, or we will administer the dog a capstar to kill the fleas and give the dog(s) a flea bath. The cost of a capstar and a flea bath is $15. Photo evidence will be supplied to the owner to confirm the presence of fleas. If you cannot pick up your dog after fleas are found the dog will be treated at the additional cost of $15. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but it is for the protection of our home, and all the current and future dogs we watch. Thank you!

GREAT Downtown Location w/ Easy & Convenient Access to I4

I have only one pet of my own (Dali the pug), and growing up my family always had cats and large breed dogs, so I have experience with a wide array of different animals and temperaments. Of course, my time working with Rover has only helped to sharpen my skills as a care provider and my pug has adopted the role of Doggy Ambassador, he is agreeable with everyone!

I know how difficult it can be to leave your pet, even if for a day, and I am more than happy to supply picture & text updates regularly during your time apart. I even take requests for FaceTime calls just in case you want to send your furry baby some smooches!

Grandma at home all day !Kissimmee, FL

We are located within 10 minutes of Walt Disney World resort in a first floor pet friendly gated condo . There are multiple landscaped dog run areas , the A/C is kept at 74 degrees all summer long ! I am home all day and my husband is a retired police officer with years of canine experience .

With 4 children plus extras we had multiple rescued dogs always in our home -Rottweillor ,German Shepherd, Poodle , Boston Terrier , Schnauzer , Chihuahua ( yes , every size !) -and those whose ancestry would always be a mystery ! Every one was a rescue or in need -and we could not give a count of those who fostered on their way to a great home .Our children are grown and our last senior dog passed away 3 years ago . A vacation visit is ideal for us -and we would love to make it ideal for your "best friend "!

I prefer to keep guests from only one family at a time so that your pet has constant quality care. I am at home 24/7 during any booking and would be pleased to answer any questions. Thanks for considering our home !

( custom rate adjustments for repeat friends , multiple dogs , shorter theme park days , etc!).

About this sitter:

We are an empty nest couple with 5 grandchildren locally . My husband is a retired police officer with canine experience . I have spent many years in the rescue area -all our pets ( with 4 children plus fosters and extras there were MANY ) were rescued . We miss having dogs in our life and have found having guests is a great deal of fun !

I prefer to only book one family at a time and stay at home 24-7 during visits .We are available for Disney drop off and pick up depending on stay .

We have many 5 star reviews and lifelong friends -please feel free to read on Dogvacay.

Why I love dog sitting

All my life !

While raising 4 children in the military life I formed friendships with local shelter employees who would give me some of their many abandoned dogs . I would groom and foster -then found homes for all .Our own dogs have all been shelter dogs or without other options ; breeds including Rottweillor , Poodle , Boston Terrier , Maltese , German Shepherd -many sizes , many combinations !

We have no pets of our own -we love the experience of our " part-time puppies ".

We do have grandchildren ( ages 9-12 ) visiting -they have been carefully educated to be sensitive and respectful of guests ( we are actually training two grandsons in professional dog handling ).

About my yard

We have multiple dog walks -manicured with many trees and waste bag / containers available

My experience administering medication

Many of our regular guests are seniors and / or special needs , requiring medications with daily adjustments.

Always ready for a walk!Celebration, FL

Being with dogs is now my full-time job so I am ready whenever you need someone! I am fluent in Spanish as well. There’s just nothing like meeting a happy dog! I love getting to know each and every one of them, including their individual personalities and characters! It’s too much fun. I love learning about them, because they have so much to teach us. They show us how life should be lived and are always so selfless. I just can’t imagine a life without dogs in it, and that’s why I want to put a smile on each one of their happy faces!

I have been around dogs for as long as I can remember! I have a dog named Lizzy, who is a little Yorkshire Terrier. She is friendly with dogs but on her terms. She is 12 years old, so she is a bit defensive but still very sweet. Before I had Lizzy, I was a local dog walker and always helped out with pet sitting duties as well. It was such a great experience, and it inspired me to become a dog sitter professionally! Since then, I’ve received a certificate in dog training and have just been adding to my 11 years of experience!

When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it’s always great to chat in English or in Spanish whatever is more comfortable for you the owners. In person, we can talk about what makes their pup tick! Finally, I just love meeting new dogs! I like to get down on their level to show them that I’m a welcome presence here to make friends, and I’m sure we’ll be best buddies in no time at all.

When your pup is under my care, communication is one of my biggest priorities. I do everything I can to make sure that you and your pup feel completely happy and comfortable under my care! I always send tons of updates with accompanying pictures so you can know just how your happy your pup is with me. Likewise, I always keep all my lines of communication open just in case any questions or concerns arise. Ultimately, I’ll treat your pup just as you would back home!

I am very happy with my experience with this family. Every day I would get multiple pictures and videos. Even the day I picked my dog up I got a drawing of my dog by one of their kids and it was amazing. Highly recommend this family!

Mariela is amazing with my Otis! He always comes home tired from all the playing and fun with her and other puppies! She sends photos constantly and I love that!! Thank you!!

My dogs, Tucker and Brinley, had a great time and Molly was wonderful. Any concerns I had she was able to address them and put me at ease. They left happy and can’t wait to go back.
