“Jessica‘s walked my dog several times now. She always shows up exactly what time she says she will be there and does a great job with my dog. I’ll be using her more in the future.”

About: I have five years of professional dog care in many different spheres. I have previously managed two different kennels, groomed many dogs around Richmond, and am K9-CPR certified. I have experience training puppies, adults, and seniors basic obedience, leash manners, and beginner agility. I am well versed in administering medications. Prior to working with dogs as a career, I have experience caring for many dogs over my life, from family pets to petsitting in the neighborhood. I am happy to provide enrichment activities for your animal as well, such as bubble play, doga (dog yoga), or drives to hiking locations. I am committed to being completely available for any of your pet needs! My main focus is comfortable care for your critter, no matter how early or late that may be. I feel that years of experience in caring for animals who are being boarded, hanging out at daycare, or getting a stylish spa day have taught me so much in how to interact and build trust with many animals no matter the situation. I believe a combination of patience, kindness, intuition, and some snackos can really foster a safe, positive environment for everybody.

“maeve was thoroughly tired and napped well for the rest of the day & night! her hips seem to be benefitting from getting more exercise too- thank you!”

“Kamarin brought me incredible Peace of Mind. She was great with my three dogs who all have different needs and provided wonderful updates while I was traveling so I always knew how the dogs were doing.”

About: I've been around dogs my entire life and have cared for my own golden retriever, Sunny, since he was a puppy. Sunny is now 5 years old, well-behaved, and friendly with other pets. My experience includes daily walks, playtime, and creating a safe, loving environment for dogs of all temperaments. I work from home full-time, which means your pet will get plenty of attention and supervision throughout the day. I walk Sunny twice daily—morning and evening—and love spending time outdoors. My schedule is flexible, so I can accommodate a variety of pet care needs, including drop-ins, walks, or overnight stays. I live in a one-level ranch-style home with a fully fenced-in backyard, perfect for safe outdoor play. My home is quiet, clean, and pet-friendly. Sunny is gentle and social, making him a great companion for visiting pets. I treat every dog like family and prioritize their comfort and safety.

About: When in the care of my partner and I, pets are enriched and have plenty of opportunity for activity. If your dog enjoys swimming, I can take them to a nearby creek to play. I have a large yard for playing fetch, or just hanging out, and a spunky lab mix that is happy to play tug-o-war. I've always had dogs and cats, and for a short time, pet rats (they're lovely!). I come from a long line of animal lovers and continue that legacy. You can check out my pets’ Instagram at @mystic_whiskers_ I am very attentive to animals and put them at ease so they settle into their home away from home. I have a flexible job that allows me to work from home, so I am flexible with pick-up and drop-off times unless otherwise communicated. I am in RVA most weekends as well. I have a fenced backyard and a dog and 2 cats. The cats have been around other dogs, and Eddy the dog loves other dogs- he has lots of energy to share!

“Amy takes wonderful care of our Pup, taking him on long walks and always making sure they get some time by the river! She is flexible and accommodating, highly recommend!”

About: I have taken care of neighbors and friends pets for years. I have been trusted with feeding, walking, bathing, and loving their pets. I am passionate about providing a safe and comfortable atmosphere for pets while their parents are away! I am currently a student, so I would love to hang out with your pet as a study break! My schedule varies week by week, but I will do my best to accommodate your needs. I love to play, walk, and run with my beagle. And when she’s worn out, I love to lay on the couch with her! This extends to all pets. I love playing with them and making sure they get their energy out…and cuddling with them when they’re tired! I adhere to whatever feeding schedule is desired and I constantly ensure they have water!

“Brittany is so awesome! So patient and kind. One of our pups is really apprehensive with people and she really takes the time to make sure our pups feel comfortable for their long walks and they always come back so happy. I highly recommend Brittany!”

“Avery is very sweet and attentive to Goldie. She can over early in the first walk to sit and slow Goldie to get comfortable with her. Loved all the photos and feedback about my dog.”

About: “Good enough” care isn’t good enough for your pet. You deserve someone who communicates, follows through, and doesn’t treat your pet like a side hustle. Someone invested in keeping your pet safe, happy, and stress-free while you’re away. And the experience to do it even in unexpected circumstances. As the pet parent to a medical fragile dog myself, I know how hard it is to trust a stranger with the furry members of your family. I’m a lifelong dog person and a first-time Rover-er, but not new to responsible, informed care. I have hands-on experience and professional training in leash skills, fear-free methods, enrichment, and working with anxious, spicy, or high-energy pups. I work from home and have a flexible weekday schedule. I’m fully available for walks and drop-ins Monday through Friday before 4pm. I also have some evening and weekend availability (just check the calendar). Once we’ve gotten to know each other, I do offer house sitting and boarding for existing clients who need ongoing support. These days I live with a clingy rescue pit and the occasional foster dog. I volunteer regularly at RACC, walking dogs of every size, breed, and temperament—from skittish lapdogs to 100-lb giants trying to live out their sled-dogs fantasies. I’ve completed training in dog handling and behavior, and I have plenty of experience with pups who need a little extra patience, skill-building, or positive-reinforcement structure. Whether your dog needs routine and predictability, leash training, desensitization, enrichment, or just a cozy check-in and some companionship, I tailor care to fit them (and you). Communication is a big deal to me You’ll always know how things are going, and yes, there will be photo updates. Possibly too many. You’ve been warned. If you’re looking for someone who shows up, tunes in, and gives your dog the love they deserve while you’re away. I’m your person. Can’t wait to meet your good boy or girl (or little menace with a personal vendetta against the Amazon driver). I work part-time with a lot of weekday flexibility, especially before 4 pm. Some evening and weekend availability too. If possible, I'd love to meet your pup before we become best friends. Your dog’s care is always tailored to their personality, needs, and your preferences. If they thrive on routine, we’ll stick to their neighborhood route like clockwork. If they need leash practice, we’ll focus on skills. If they need more mental stimulation, I’ve got enrichment exercises, training games, and treat puzzles ready to go. If your dog needs exposure and socialization, we can head to a public park for controlled distance desensitization and positive reinforcement. And if they’ve got energy to burn, we’ll hit the trails for a hike that leaves us both happily exhausted. For drop-in visits, I can keep things chill or playful but always structured. I’m happy to work on crate manners, polite doorway exits, and other small habits that make a big difference. Or we can just hang out. Cuddles (if that’s their vibe), companionship, a good sniff around the yard, and a reminder that even when you’re away, someone still loves them a lot. Safety is always my top priority. Your dog will never be off-leash outside the home, and they’ll always be supervised, even if we’re just doing yard zoomies or sunbathing like royalty.

About: With over 10 years of experience with dogs, I became the go-to person for friends and family — and soon their friends started calling me, too. I’ve also fostered for a local nonprofit animal rescue, though my schedule doesn’t allow me to have my own dog right now. I’ve cared for every kind of pup, from teacup Yorkies to sheepadoodles, and all ages from 3 months to 16 years. I’m comfortable with walks, feedings, baths — and if they need extra patience, daily meds, or a little more cuddle time, I’m here for it. My goal is for your pet to feel just as happy and secure with me as they do with you. My schedule varies since I’m in physician assistant school, but I can always make time! On weekdays, I’m available for walks/ drop-ins in the early mornings, afternoons, or evenings depending on the day. I’m also available most weekends. While I’m not able to board dogs in my home, I’m happy to stay at yours so your pet can stick to their routine and feel comfortable in their own space. I’m super flexible!! I’ll care for your pets exactly the way you do. I follow instructions closely, so everything feels comfortable while you’re away. I’m respectful of your home, keep things tidy, and make sure your pets are safe, happy, and loved!

About: I have been fostering dogs and cats for about 7 years now. Ranging from pairs of puppies to pit-bulls to litters of kittens to severely anxious dogs, I have taken care of them all. I understand that not all dogs are going to be the stereotypical dog, and I am prepared for any type of pet. I have had to give medicine (oral medication, eye ointment, certain foods, etc) to my foster pets before so I can provide medical assistance if needed. I also train puppies - leash training, potty training, crate training, basic obedience, and basic tricks — and have worked with dog-reactive and anxious adult dogs. If you need me to help with training, I would be more than happy to help! ***I have a 3 year old cat who loves dogs. If your baby loves cats & is respectful, please consider booking a stay with me. It would be great for them to meet and become friends!*** I just graduated from being student-athlete at Stanford and am now working hybrid in Richmond. I have no issue with waking up early and or staying up late to care for your loved pet. I am interested in dog sitting in your home and providing dog walks/drop-ins as needed! I can also do some boarding and day cares . I am working hybrid (3 days in office / week) so will need to know in advance if you'd like me to be working from home any weekdays. Other than that, I am perfectly fine adjusting to your pets schedule (wake up and bed time).

Wilton dog parents share their Rover experiences
William is the absolute BEST. Our 2 yr old Lucy loved him. She got so excited when he came to walk her. William is a very easy going, calm, gentle and overall good person who obviously connects well and quickly with animals. I highly recommend him and his quality. Your furry friend will be in excellent hands.

Max is my dog’s favorite! I started a new job that requires a much longer commute, so he’s been walking Junie every week day for a couple of weeks now. He is very responsive, arrives on time, sends pictures, and is very patient with my neurotic dog. She loves Max! I highly recommend him!

I can’t say enough good things about Sydney! While I was out of town, she took incredible care of my dog, sending me regular updates and the sweetest pictures. My dog always looked so happy and relaxed in every photo, which made me feel completely at ease. It’s clear she genuinely cares, not just about the job, but about the animals she looks after. Knowing my dog was in such loving hands gave me real peace of mind. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and kind to care for their pet!

Nicholas was able to accommodate a last minute request for a late evening dog walk, even finding the time to come and do a meet and greet prior to the booking. He was responsive and reassured us that Albus would be in great hands. I enjoyed reading Albus’ report card too! I would definitely recommend Nicholas for your dog walking needs, and I’m hoping to use his services again in the future. Thanks for taking great care of my boy.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Amazing! I can’t say enough good things about Alexandria! They have been a total lifesaver for me and a true best friend to my dog. Always punctual, professional, and kind, they treat my pup like their own. I get updates and pictures from every walk, and it’s obvious how much they care. My dog gets so excited every time they show up—it’s clear they’ve built a special bond. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, dependable, and genuinely passionate about animals, this is the one. Highly recommend!
