“Sharon has brought so much peace of mind when we travel. I am so grateful to have her care for our animals. In addition to our cat, Sharon takes care of our ducks - I highly recommend her if you also have livestock pets.”

“Mackenzie gave me such peace of mind while traveling. Gave great updates on all my cats, including a plethora of pictures, and was very responsive whenever I sent a message. My cats all loved her, including my shy foster who tends to hide from everyone! I would definitely recommend her and would book her to catsit again.”

“Chloe was absolutely amazing! Very knowledgeable about animals and I had no concerns about leaving my babies in her care. She is detailed oriented and sent me great pictures and notes letting me know how everyone was doing. Will definitely be using her for all of our trips away!”

“Jojo did a great job taking care of my cat. She was observant and noticed ants in the house and helped me take care of the issue. Highly recommended!”

“Charlotte came in clutch when I booked a couple of days before my trip. She was friendly and trustworthy. I only have cats and they don’t need any care other than attention, since their food and litter are automatic. It’s possible that this led Charlotte to think I didn’t want updates about the cats. Day 1 of 2 I reached out to check in and I heard from Charlotte that Meatloaf did not respond well to her the first visit—hissed but did not become aggressive—but that he warmed up to her on visit 2. Definitely will set up introductory visits each time which I have learned will avoid this issue. Charlotte stopped responding after the first day, so I have no way of knowing how the second day of visits went. I was pretty worried about whether Meatloaf was mean to her or if the cats were being checked on. I’m not even sure if she saw my shy second cat at all—just any more communication would have been good. I don’t want to tank any ratings if my cats were a problem but I have no idea what happened.”

“David took great care of my cat and even watered my plants for me. I came home from my trip to a happy cat, clean house, and thriving plants. Thanks David!”

“Great communication and very kind! Sent lots of pics and made sure I knew my dog was taken good care of!”

“Melissa was great and Luna warmed write up to her. Our cat is typically stand offish and hides but she came out and greeted her on her first visit. Melissa gave us updates everyday with pictures. Overall, she was excellent and we will be using her again.”

“Great first experience- we’ll use again for sure!”

“We love Courtney's service and the cats do too. She is our go-to Rover sitter in the area and we trust her with our home and cats. She is responsible, communicative and friendly. Highly recommend.”

About: I've always loved animals. My parents were never fond of dogs so I would jump at any opportunity to walk, play, or just hang out with friends’ or neighbors’ dogs. I have volunteered at shelters and fostered dogs throughout the years. I missed taking care of dogs while I was in college (though I did get to take care of and walk my roommate’s dog!), so now that I’m back home, I decided to join Rover. I have mainly done housesitting as it is the most convenient. So far, it has been amazing. I love meeting new dogs(and cats!) and giving them the best level of care I can, so they are comfortable and happy while their owner is away. I have lots of free time with pretty open availability. I'm available for weekends and holidays as well! I prefer doing housesitting because I have online classes and no personal car. I am very diligent in following safety and security standards for pet care. I will take excellent care of your fur baby and your property while I'm there.

About: I have extensive pet care experience, mainly with dogs, but cats also. I have experience caring for special needs dogs. I would love to care for your pet while you are away! I am a music teacher currently on summer break, so I can be available at any time of the day any day of the week! Before caring for your pet, I will ensure we are in communication about your expectations. I want to keep your mind at ease while you are away from your pet, so you know they are safe and happy,

“Hannah was great. She took great care of my cats and I would absolutely book with her again.”

“I booked Maria to care for my cat and stay in my house for a 10-day trip, having never used her before. She came over beforehand to meet us both. After spending time with her, I knew everything would be fine. Although I was out of the country, Maria stayed in touch with me and sent pictures of my cat, a very human-centric feline. It was so comforting to know she was getting such excellent care and, equally important, such attention. I knew I didn't have to worry about my cat being lonely and deprived of attention while I was away. What I didn't expect was to find my house so well-cared for, too. It was immaculate, with everything clean, tidy and laid away - much better than it looks when I'm living here! I'll definitely be using Maria again, as I can't imagine how things could have been any better with her here.”

“We had a great experience with Sarah and hope to book her again! She is very communicative and she does what she says she's going to do. She took great care of our cat for about a week.”

About: I have taken care of dogs of all kinds since I was 6 years old. Most recently, my friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed, and give medicine (as needed) to their dogs regularly for several years. I’m currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets. I’m available from 6 am until late in the evening and on weekends as well. I will work with you to clearly understand your pet care needs. I will be prompt and timely completing the care. Most importantly, I will be gentle, kind, and patient with your pet to make their pet care experience a positive one.

“Julie is an awesome sitter. Our dogs love her and she’s been sitting / walking them for a few years now. I can be a bit of a helicopter pet parent, and our pups are not without their challenges, yet we are completely comfortable when she is caring for them.”

“Kimberley did fantastic job taking care of my cat! She provided updates and pictures from every visit, was very attentive and engaging. We for sure will be glad to have her drop in again next time we need to use Rover!”

About: My family has always owned dogs, so I have taken care of, played with, and trained dogs for as long as I can remember. Over the last 5 months, I have taken care of over six of my friends dogs, including a puppy that I potty trained. I am working part time, but I try to base my schedule around the dogs that I take care of. I have three roommates (all dog lovers) that are there to let out/hangout with the dogs when I am working. I am available most weekdays and every weekend. I have a fenced in backyard and a dog park in my neighborhood. I’m happy to send lots of picture/video updates from my home if needed.

Elizabeth B.
“Elizabeth has taken care of our dog many times. He has brain damage and is very restricted physically and mentally. He needs a lot of extra special care. I have always trusted her to love him and give him what he needs. She is always very reliable and always does a great job. We have to mix his food with water which is very messy and she cleans everything up and leaves it just as she found it. He cannot go up or down stairs and she is very happy to help him with his all of his limitations. I could go on about how great she is but I would run out of room. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable pet sitter!”

Hayden M.
“Hayden is a dog whisperer! My dogs (one old tiny Chiwawa mix and one huge smiley golden doodle) adore him. I left Hayden with my kids for 4 days and they hardly noticed when I came home. Hayden walked them (not an easy task as they both hate all other dogs, squirrels, rabbits etc..) fed them (they both have special diets) and gave them the attention they are accustomed to getting each day. I was able to have a worry-free vacation because I knew they were in good hands. I will definitely use him again, hopefully as soon as July!”
