About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats ever since I was a kid. I rescued my first baby, Dory, a little over 5 years ago and my heart has never been more full. Since then I have rescued another dog and 2 cats. Pet care is an essential part of my daily routine. Taking care of animals is second nature and something I’m truly passionate about. My animals are my world and I am excited to share that love with even more animals. I have a fenced in yard that my 2 dogs love to spend time in. They have an overflowing basket of toys that always seems to be scattered across the house and yard. We take them for walks around the neighborhood and every so often we take them for a hike.

About: I have taken care of pets for nearly 10 years. From Dogs to cat to even birds. I’m the person that will walk your dog in the snow and enjoy it. I am also the person that will play with your cat for an hour straight. Pets are family and that’s how they deserve to be treated. I’m currently a bartender and big time traveler. I’m looking to make extra cash on weekends by doing what I love which is taking care of your little furry ones. I have fenced in yard for my dogs as well as indoor cats. My pets eat twice a day on a cautious diet due to them being elderly. I walk my dogs everyday if I can and play with my cat every single day as he is old but he’s very playful.

About: I have owned 3 dogs and a cat in my life. My ex-fiancée and I owned a Siamese cat that we adopted from the OKC Animal Shelter. We previously fostered two kittens. I'm reliable, accountable, and punctual! And above all, I am CPR certified for both humans and animals. You can count on me! I'm currently working full-time and do Rover on the side, but I will absolutely try to work around your needs! I am open to any and all animals! Let me know what availability you have and we can work with that! I do have a cat crate and some cat treats and toys. I do also have dog treats and chew toys. I am very gentle and know how to approach animals in a way that does not make me appear threatening and will earn their trust.

About: I have been around pets all my life's and mostly cats/dogs. I became a pet sitter and pet groomer after high school when I noticed i loved being around animals all the time. I feel more relaxed with a dog than I do meeting a new friend. Dogs and cats have been there when I needed them most. While working with pets I got to know basic training, puppy care and senior care too in my grooming classes I went too. Over time I expanded to groom snalled pets such as ferrets, guinea pigs, and small birds. I wake up around 8-9am feed my fur babies and then eat breakfast. 10am to 12pm clean any mess they made or clean around house. 1-2pm feed and eat lunch. 3pm-4pm watch a show or movie and cuddle on the couch with fur babies. 5-6pm start feeding dinner. 6-7pm go for a walk around the block. 8-9pm get ready for bed. I love having fur babies with me. They are more loving then people sometimes. I've had a dog, a cat, a rabbit and a ferret. My dream is to have a small farm one day.

About: Hello! My name is Shawntel and I have been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family had 2 dogs and 4 cats. Now I have three dogs that I couldn't imagine my life without them, with two of them being rescues. When I’m booked for house/dog sitting, my dad gets to stay and spend time with his grand-pups (: One is a German Shepard mix, another one is a Pitbull, Husky, Lab mix, and my newest addition is a golden doodle! The German Shepard is a senior so I am used to making accommodations for animals as well as giving mediations. It doesn't matter if they are young or old, big or small, boy or girl-- I love them all. I am currently a first grade teacher in Lake County which I recently took time away from dog sitting to focus on my new position. But now I’m back!! So I am available before and after the school day during the week for your animals and pretty free on the weekends. I am usually pretty flexible so if you need anything special for your animal, just let me know! I also dedicate my summers and school breaks to house/dog sitting! I truly believe that a well taken care of animal is a happy one, and who doesn't want their fur baby happy?! I look forward to meeting you and your sweet animal(s)!! About: Genuinely love spending time with animals of all personalities and energy levels. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to care for their dogs and cats for walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship. A teacher on summer break! Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine, allowing me to provide attention, exercise, and companionship. I make time for walks, feeding schedules, playtime, potty breaks, and any special care instructions. I prioritize reliability and have some wiggle room in my schedule when needed to ensure pets receive what they need. My top priority is making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. I carefully follow each owner's instructions regarding feeding, exercise, medications, routines, and household rules. In a client's home, I strive to maintain the pet's normal routine to reduce stress and help them feel secure. I pay close attention during walks, monitor pets for any signs of discomfort or illness, and ensure they always have access to fresh water, a clean environment, and plenty of affection. I treat every pet as if they were my own and work to build trust with both pets and their owners.

I have the most experience with cats and dogs but have owned and looked after a range of other pets as well. I can provide the appropriate level of care and attention to your pets that you are looking for and am more than happy to provide as many photos or updates for you to feel good about being away. From puppies to elderly pets I have cared for all ages and types of pets! About: I'm a true dog lover, who will treat your dog as my own. I've owned dogs my entire life and have experience with rescues of all sizes. I understand the needs of some fearful or reactive dogs too. I look forward to hearing from you soon. I work mostly early mornings before the sun rises, so I'm increasingly flexible as the day goes on. I'm available during most traditional 9 to 5 work days. I have a fenced-in yard and have a rescue dog. My dog has fear reactivity issues we've had to overcome, so I understand having patience and structure with dogs.

Suzanne was so great with our two big dogs. When one dog had an unexpected accident, she cleaned it up with no complaint and only let me know because it is unusual. She gave us consistent updates, responded to any questions immediately, and was overall a joy to work with. I'd go on vacation again just to work with Suzanne again. Thank you so much!

Christy did an amazing job! The dogs love her and she is so gentle and kind. I texted her asking if she could drop in a few hours early one day because our schedule changed. She immediately responded and dropped in on our dogs within minutes. We were feeding one of our dogs chicken and rice and we ran out and she offered to bring some on her next drop in! We couldn't ask for better service and care! We will book her again!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Willoughby choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Willoughby with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
