I can also do short or long walks with dogs or even cats!

I offer drop in visits to my client's homes, including cat and dog care, walks, cleaning of litter boxes, medicating, feeding, and of course playtime!

“Najia took wonderful care of our 4 month old kitten over a long weekend. She sent lots of pictures and updates and was really thoughtful to make the experience as easy as possible for our kitten, especially since this was her first time with a sitter. I’m really glad I found Najia and will definitely use her again when we need someone to watch Bagel! Thanks again Najia!”

About: Though I'm new to Rover, I've been pet-sitting for neighbors and friends for 10+ years! I've taken care of dogs, cats, llamas, goats, and more. I've lived my whole life with dogs and cats of all ages, so I'm familiar with puppy/kitten and senior care. I know how to give medications including oral, topical, and injectable. I love animals and I promise to give your pets the same love and compassionate care I give my own! I'm currently working part time, so I have a pretty flexible schedule. I may be able to accommodate some last-minute requests, especially for drop-ins or dog walking. I live in Greene County, but I commute to Harrisonburg when I'm working so I can potentially take bookings around that area as well. PLEASE NOTE: I cannot hold dates for a pending request indefinitely. If your intention is to book with me, please confirm the booking as soon as you can so I can update my availability accordingly both on Rover and with my other job. Prompt communication is greatly appreciated! I believe it's most ideal for your pet if they can stay in their home environment and keep to their usual routine while you're away. If your dog likes to visit a certain tree on all their walks, or your cat gets a treat at a specific time each day, let me know! Please also share any quirks, anxieties, medical problems, or anything else special about your pet so I can cater to their individual needs.

About: I have had pets since I was a child. I have always owned a dog. Neighbors, friends and family have called on me frequently to care for their pet. I take Flash with me every where I can and when I can’t I want him well taken care of. I love to help people enjoy their time away by giving their pet the best care possible. I work part time. I get up early and never mind doing early morning or evening pet care. On my days off I can walk during the day. I would be willing to walk your pet, feed and allow time outside for play. Can stay at home for several hours if needed on occasions.

“Christina is a reliable and caring person. She LOVES all animals and treats them with love and kindness. She can be trusted to carryout what you ask her to do in taking care of your pets. Madelyn K.
“Look no further, Madelyn Kim is the gem of a person that you want caring for your dogs, cats, humans, yourself- you name it. I've know Madelyn for over 7 years, over that time she has house sat for me watching my cat, puppy - who is now a full grown dog and is entirely obsessed with her, and my home. Madelyn is honest, kind, responsive, timely, responsible, respectful, considerate, and an all around wonderful human being. She cares deeply for all life and treats all creatures, humans included, with the utmost respect. She once house sat for me, watching my 6 month old puppy and elderly cat, for what was supposed to be a long weekend in the winter. When I got snowed in and was unable to return home, Madelyn adjusted her life and stayed at my house, caring for my creatures, gardens, and home, for what ended up being 2 weeks in total. I cannot recommend her highly enough. 10 out of 5 stars.”

Julia H.
“Julia has dog sit for me multiple times. One particular time, she stayed with my dog for a whole week while I was on vacation. She provided exceptional care for my sweet pup. Every day I was gone she would send me pictures and give me updates on how he was doing. My dog gets excited every time he sees her and she makes sure to spend extra time petting him and playing with him outside of her required duties...walking, feeding, etc. I have seen her interact with my dog as well as other animals, and I can tell she genuinely has a love for animals, and animals have a love for her. I would trust her with my dog any day and know that she would go above and beyond. Julia is the first person I ask when I need help with my pup. She is an excellent communicator and is very flexible. I would recommend Julia in a heartbeat, she is wonderful!”

Susan T.
“Susan has been attentive & caring to our dog over several years. We trust her to treat her like her own & stays out our home which is an added bonus.”

“Madalyn was terrific. Very communicative and put in extra effort with one of our more difficult pets. Thanks again!”
