“Drew was so great! He sent plenty of updates while we were gone with photos of their adventures. He came by later to drop off our key and our pup was so excited to see him! She clearly had a great time and we were able to enjoy our trip knowing she was in good hands with Drew.”

“Rebecca did great with our senior dog! He required some meds and special feeding and she took good care of him. She sent updates over the weekend and left our house tidy and picked up!”

About: I’ve had a pet in the home since I was little and have been caring for friend’s dogs around the city for years. I now have a bit more time on my hands and want to care for and love on your pet too! I know all pets have their own personality and needs so just let me know what they need and I can’t wait to care and spend time with them. I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time to care for and play with your pets! I have a flexible schedule so can be available for your needs. I can easily crate your pet, put on their favorite collar, play with their favorite toy and report back to you to bring you all the peace of mind while you’re away.
“We cannot recommend Hope highly enough. Our dog Chester is normally overwhelmed when meeting new people, but he immediately loved Hope (she came prepared with treats to win him over.) Hope was very communicative leading up to her stay and confirmed the details with us several times. She arrived on time and Chester remembered her immediately. Hope texted us pictures and updates of her time with Chester, making us feel at ease while we were away. She went above and beyond her duties and when we came home, our house was in better condition than when we left it. We will absolutely rebook Hope to watch Chester in the future. Working with her was a wonderful experience.”

About: I have taken care of animals since I was a little girl and that has been many many years ago. I have also worked as an animal tech and research assistant where I maintained animal colonies and worked with large animals. I believe having animals in your life is a blessing. I am retired and I love animals so I thought I would give some love and attention to the animals that need some attention while the owner is away from them. I have a fenced in yard that the dogs can run and play. I am also there with the dogs most if not all of the day.
“This was my very first time using Rover so I was very nervous about the process. From the beginning, Kelly communicated well and was always clear and kind. She house sat and dog sat and did an amazing job. I received lots of pictures and updates which kept my mind at ease. My three dogs stayed relaxed through her care and ate each meal so for those of you whose dogs are sensitive to routine changes and new people, Kelly is an absolute pro and the dogs know it. ❤️ All directions were followed and respected. She was so patient and accommodating to the dogs and me. I came home to happy dogs and a cared-for house…she went above and beyond and washed their bowls and left a hand written note. I recommend Kelly and already have plans to rebook.”

“Julie was so helpful to us! She took care of our elderly dog and skittish kitty with as much love as we would have. She provided regular updates and photos and even did light housekeeping for us-that we didn’t expect at all!! I highly recommend Julie for your pets and home.”

“Kylie did an awesome job staying with our pups while we were out of town for the weekend. Quick to respond and thorough communication, provided lots of photos and updates. She was fantastic with our almost 16 year old senior dog who wears a diaper and requires more care, and also played fetch in the backyard with our younger dog. She was tidy and left the house spotless. Would book again!”

“Jenna not only took great care of our pets while we were on vacation, she allowed us to enjoy our time without worrying or stressing about how our crew was doing without us. It's clear that Jenna cares about our pets and wants them to be comfortable. She makes vacations stress free for everyone (dogs and cats included)!”

About: I’ve taken care of many animals on my family farm and I love them all! I have experience with dogs, cats, chickens, pigs, bunnies, ducks, and horses! I have a short school and work schedule so I have plenty of time to play with and take care of your pets! Available many hours and days. I have fenced in areas and leashes outside to keep pet safe and secure. I also have barns and crates if needed for your pet.
“John took care of our babies while we were gone for a trip! This was the longest we’ve been away from them and our nerves were all over. He eased our anxiety by providing pics multiple times a day and giving us updates on them. We can’t recommend him enough!”

“Olivia was a great care taker for our dog and cat. She was easy to work with and a great communicator. While we were on vacation Olivia gave us the peace of mind knowing our home and animals were in great hands. Highly recommend!”

“I have used Laci for both drop in and overnight services. She met with us for a meet and greet before the sitting dates. My Lola took up to her right away. Laci provided updates and picture and followed directions left for her the day of the sittings. I would seek out her service again for sure!”

“We couldn’t recommend Debbie enough!!!! She was (miraculously) available fairly last minute for our trip and from the word go, she was top notch! Our home and puppy Philomena were so well cared for while we were away. Debbie sent us plenty (but not too many) of snapshots and occasional videos of Phil living her best life while we were away. Thank you Debbie for being Phil’s new friend and we can’t wait to have you back again!. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, ‘no notes’ as the saying goes. 🥰.”

About: I've been around dogs my whole life and have hands on experience with all kinds, from small attached lap dogs to giant breeds. I currently help care for two dogs at home, including one with food aggression who requires separate feeding. I'm comfortable with feeding schedules, administering care, and giving pets the attention and exercise they need. Your furry family member will be in good hands! I currently work at Target on an on-demand schedule, which gives me flexibility with pet care. I’ll treat your home and pet with respect, provide regular updates, and give your pet plenty of attention and affection. 🐾💕
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Williams Corners
My pups can be high maintenance and she was great with them. She took several pictures and sent them to me and they looked very happy. She has communicated a lot with me to help offer suggestions for my 1 year old that I have been struggling with training. I’m very picky about my babies and I am so thankful we found her.

Michayla took care of my two cats for a week while I was on vacation, and she did a wonderful job! She is very caring and attentive, and she made sure to send me pictures and updates throughout the week which really put my mind at ease. I will definitely book her again in the future.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Williams Corners walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Williams Corners maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
<b>Tip:</b> Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Williams Corners choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
