“We appreciated Becca’s willingness to send photos of the pups and update us with easy communication on how they were doing. Becca is sweet and took great care of our pup girls and our hone while we were away!”

“I have used Laci for both drop in and overnight services. She met with us for a meet and greet before the sitting dates. My Lola took up to her right away. Laci provided updates and picture and followed directions left for her the day of the sittings. I would seek out her service again for sure!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. From as soon as we met Drew we saw his love for animals and how my dogs immediately took to him. He was extremely responsive and amazing to work with. Would highly recommended him!”

About: I am a very passionate, attentive, and empathetic person when it comes to any and all animals! For many years I have taken sole care of both dogs and cats of all different breeds, and am well experienced in all general pet care to include special needs pets. All of the dogs I ever had as a kid were trained as puppies almost solely by myself and my brothers. My mom used to make me read books and do online research about the breed of dog we had, different training techniques, K9 first-aid, and so much more. Being as passionate as I am about animals, those studies were well retained, and while I don't have professional experience, the knowledge gained from doing it on my own with 9 different dogs over my lifetime have graced me with at the very least, an in depth knowledge of all different stages of dog ownership. This knowledge was also accentuated professionally as I worked alongside military police K9 handlers during my time in the Air Force. Not to worry though, I mix structure, routine, and discipline with plenty of tender loving care, and know how to tune my approach to dogs of all temperaments. In regards to puppies: I have experience potty training, leash training, crate training, and what I would call experienced but moderate obedience training skills. I know how to deal with things like food aggression, how to properly establish the "hierarchy" or "pack mentality" and other conditioning behaviors. As well as handling young puppies, I've even assisted a momma in giving birth to a new litter, and taking special care of a brand new litter of 7 pups! So my experience with all dogs truly does begin at birth and goes all the way to end of life care. For the old timers: The couch potatoes in our lives need just as much, and sometimes even more care than their energetic and young counterparts. I have experience with things like giving medication and shots, managing specialty diets, and a number of other age specific needs. I'm very patient and am willing to take the time to get to know your pet and what they need. Every animal has a different personality and needs attention in different ways, and I'm very attentive to that! I will always treat your pet as if they were my own, and will to the best of my ability make sure that your pet is well taken care of at all times. I'm a full-time nomad and side gigs are my primary source of income. Pet care IS my weekly routine. I'm available and more than happy to abide by the normal 9-5 schedule for daytime pet care, but I can also easily adjust to fit any alternate schedule; whether you need overnight pet care, or any other odd schedule constraints met, I am available. I have lived with my own dog in a variety of different conditions. From being on our own in both houses and apartments, to having a full house of dogs and cats. I am well versed in any additional responsibilities and special care based on living situations, and have no trouble go up and down a few flights of stairs for potty breaks/walks, etc.
“Alexys did a Great job with my old chocolate lab, Bentley! I appreciate her spirit and compassion for how she cares. She was always on time and Bentley really enjoyed being with her!! Thanks for all of your hard work!!”

“I can’t recommend Alex enough. She is a wonderful sitter. I had an emergency where my flight was bumped to the next day - Alex was there for our cat and dog. I’ve rebooked her several times and will continue to do so. She takes care of our home, is very communicative and our pets love her.”

“I was worried about leaving my beloved elderly pup (14 years young) but Jenna made my fears disappear. Jenna stayed at my house while we were away on vacation and sent daily updates (including photos) on how things were going. Everything was great, my pup was happy to be at home in a familiar environment. Jenna was also great in working with our schedule as our flight was canceled and then we were delayed coming home. I would defiantly recommend Jenna and would use her again in the future!”
“Katherine did a great job with our 2 rambunctious dogs! She was very communicative during her stay which made us feel very comfortable. I would definitely have Katherine stay with our dogs again”

“Saige is the real deal!! She is very professional and accommodating. She gave our pup lots of love and snuggles and took great care of our high-maintenance girl. Luna can't wait to see Saige again!”

About: I have taken care of my own dogs and others dog's for over 10 years now. My family and I have 3 dogs currently and have owned 6 dogs throughout my life of varying sizes. I have dog sat and walked dogs for many of my friends and family over the years with the dogs being in size ranges as big as Great Danes down to little Griffons. In addition I have bathed and brushed dogs for years as well. I of course am also very affectionate towards any dogs, making sure to give them lots of pets and scratches. I will be available between 10 AM-6 PM every weekday unless specified otherwise, though days and hours are mutable and can be subject to change in the future. If I decide to change my hours/days all clients will be notified of the change with ample time to figure something out between us if need be. I will show your dog affection and make sure they have enough food and water as needed. I can also differ my services based off what my client needs. For example during a drop in I can wear out your overly excited puppy, I can clean your litterbox, or I can just lay down and chill with your older dog who just needs some pets and attention. I am easygoing and can work with any client.

About: Hi! I'm Shosuke from Batavia, OH. I've been pet sitting for over 3 years and love spending time with dogs and cats! I have experience in dog sitting, dog walking, administering medicine, and feeding. I currently have a German Shepherd named Cosmos and used to have a Pomeranian named Ponta, so I'm comfortable with pets of all sizes. I'll treat your furry friends like my own! Feel free to send me a message-I'd love to help! I work from home with a super flexible schedule, so taking care of your pup fits right into my daily routine! Since I'm around all day, your pup will get plenty of companionship, fun play breaks, and all the walks they need! I love spending quality time with them, keeping up with their usual routine, and making sure they have a happy, relaxed day!

About: I've owned a dog most of my life. I love dogs, but at this stage of life, I find it more rewarding to care for other people's pets and not own one of my own. I had a black lab for 14 years. She was my best friend. I'm sure you feel the same way, which is why you are looking for a sitter. Why place your pet in a kennel when I can stay with them in the home they know? Take that long weekend, or extended stay, knowing your home and pet are safe under my care. I'm an early riser. The dog is often my alarm clock. I prefer to let the dog out in a fenced yard. If the dog is well-trained on a leash, I can walk it and pick up droppings. We enjoy breakfast. I avoid people food, no matter how much they beg, unless you tell me otherwise. Active dogs want to play. Most will show me their favorite toy or game. I am retired but work from home. I am an artist and post my work online. I will ask for your wifi connection. Most pets stay with me while I work. We take frequent breaks to play, cuddle, or go out. The dog tells me what he/she is used to, along with your instructions. I'll follow your feeding and treats schedule to the letter. Later in the day, we watch TV. Many dogs enjoy Animal Planet or sporting events. I am an NFL fan and find many pets like the games too. At bedtime, I am OK if your pet wants to sleep with me. I find that a family with a fenced yard works best for your dog and for me. Your pet may act differently on a leash around other people or animals with me than they do with you. Keeping them safely in a yard avoids them breaking free of their collar or tangling with another dog. I will rarely need to leave your home during my stay, but if I do, your pet will be secured per your instructions and your home locked.
About: I have been surrounded by all sorts of animals since I was a child! This including dogs, cats, and even reptiles. However I have been taking care of animals for over 5 years now when I began dog sitting! Since then, I then went on to work at a pet store, where I worked with all sorts of animals including dogs, cats, reptiles, hamsters, bunnies, ferrets, etc. At this store, I was responsible for bathing and grooming, cleaning, administering medication, and feeding! I thoroughly enjoy being surrounded by animals and hope to for the rest of my life! I’m currently working part time, so I will have plenty of time to taking care of your animals!!! I am a college student currently so visiting your animals will also serve as therapy for me as well. I have availability in the afternoons into the evenings and am willing to stay at your homes until later in the night, overnight, or even the stop in to provide a walk or a visit to keep your baby company! I am not capable of providing in home services as I am a college student, but in your home I will be able to feel comfortable in your home environment, ensuring that the pets also feel comfortable in their own space!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 1,447 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Stonelick. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Stonelick walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Stonelick maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Stonelick choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Stonelick. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
