“Colleen did an excellent job taking care of our 3 Beagle fur babies! Each pup has a unique personality and she gave them each the attention they needed. They all ate while we were gone which was shocking, usually they don’t. She shared lots of pics and kept us informed on their care! Highly recommend her!”

“Alicia is great! Winston loves her and she took great care of our house. Communication was amazing and I felt so comfortable with Winston in her care. We love her and we can’t wait to have her back!”

“Jessica was awesome with my babies. From playing ball with them, to walking and cuddling them she was really what they needed that day. Great with communication updates and pics. Highly recommend.”

“If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Madison made me feel at ease, this is the first time I left Buddy with anyone. Buddy sleeps in bed with me so Madison slept in my bed so Buddy wasn't alone at night. Thank you so much!!!!”

About: With over 25 years of experience caring for animals, I bring a lifetime of love, patience, and hands-on knowledge to every pet I care for. From energetic puppies to gentle senior pets, I’ve nurtured animals through every stage of life. Our home is filled with kindness and activity—my three children have grown up around animals and share my deep love and respect for them. Whether your pet needs playful attention, a cozy cuddle, or a calm and reliable routine, you can trust that they’ll be treated like family in our care. As a homeschooling family, we have a flexible and consistent schedule that allows us to be home throughout the week. This makes it easy to provide attentive, reliable care for pets without the disruption of a traditional 9–5 job. Pet sitting fits naturally into our daily rhythm—whether it’s walking a dog, feeding and checking in on animals, or offering companionship and playtime, we’re available and present. My kids also enjoy helping (with supervision), adding extra love and attention to the care we provide. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where they can feel relaxed and loved. Whether they’re staying for a day or a week, I make sure they have plenty of playtime, exercise, and snuggles—along with any specific care or routines they’re used to. I follow feeding schedules, administer medications if needed, and keep owners updated with photos and messages so they know their pets are happy and well cared for.
“This was our 1st time using Rover so my anxiety was high having 2 large dogs needing medication twice a day. Our sitter Cathy was great. We had her over beforehand to meet the dogs and everything went great. 2 of our dogs are Dobermans so they can be protective but all was good. Thank you for all you did and giving us the opportunity to get away and enjoy ourselves.”

“Denise was amazing! Super communicative and easy to work with. I'm so happy we found her. Our babies were well taken care of and barely noticed we were gone. We'll definitely use Denise again!”

About: Social animal lover, former small dog owner, experienced pet caregiver, and current rescue volunteer, I provide dependable, compassionate care for pets of all personalities and needs. I understand that pets are family, and I treat each one with patience, attentiveness, and genuine affection so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. My two-hour visits are structured as drop-ins tailored to your pet’s routine and can include feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship. My goal is always to reduce stress for both pets and owners by providing calm, consistent care you can trust. (Service radius 4-5m) I also offer in-home (my home) boarding on a limited basis when it’s the right fit for your pet. My home is in a quiet community with a fenced yard, and I focus on creating a peaceful, comforting environment where animals can relax and feel secure. My bond with animals began early in life and has stayed with me ever since. From caring for cats and dogs of my own to volunteering with local shelters. If you’re looking for someone responsible, nurturing, and truly devoted to animals, I would be honored to care for your pet like family. Retired and available to love up all the furry friends. I have a reliable vehicle. I also have a pet booster seat for the smaller pets, recognizing the importance of their inability to have the same view as the larger dogs. Did you know? Small dogs can get vertigo in the back seat or in a lower view? It’s true! Looking forward to meeting your furry loves. Caring for pets in a client’s home is a very trusting requirement I do not take lightly. Every client deserves their furry child cared for and overall expectations for their sweet furry child exceptional. Every pet is unique in their wants and needs are important, getting to know pet parents helps aid in visual cues by both the owner and the pet upon that first meeting as well as interactions thereafter. I am also a pet portrait photographer and if your pet is photographed I will offer this as a complementary service to my current availability. I care for my pets very seriously. I have one dog who was rescued from a puppy mill, who is a special-needs pet and does require Special food due to allergies and has enjoyed a life of love, affection, medical care, compassion, and kindness throughout his 11 years. I have a lovely fenced in yard that allows for the furry friends to relax, play or nap in the shade. I have multiple pet beds and bowls available.
About: I’ve always had pets growing up, both dogs and cats! I’ve always been the kid to watch my neighbors animals while they were gone, take care of my siblings dogs for either drop in visits or stay the night ones, and have always been reliable and responsible when taking care of other peoples fur-babies💗 I also love to take animals on walks, runs, and car rides! (if owners allow it of course) I currently am a student athlete who is looking forward to helping others take care of their babies:) I have one dog and two kitties! I have a fenced in yard and one dog who is very friendly to dogs and cats. I always will respect owners homes when there.
“Stephanie provides frequent updates while dog sitting. She sends pictures and sweet messages. Our dogs love spending time with her because she takes such great care to ensure they get long walks and plenty of snuggles!”

“Caitlyn went above and beyond with our pets. We were able to rest assured that they were in good hands. She was also willing to help us last minute and we couldn't have asked for more.”

About: I have had a strong care for animals ever since I was young, whether they were my own or not. I have had pets since I was 5 and have animal sat for 4+ years now before getting onto rover. I love animals and wanted to push my services further now that I am older and more experienced! animals with medication needs, young babies, or even senior pups, are all welcome by me and are never seen as a hassle :) I am also very comfortable with watching chickens, bunnies, pigs, and goats! My goal is to build trust with you and your pet and love them as my own. I understand that a safe comfortable environment is a must for your fur baby! I am an upcoming college student who just graduated from high school. I plan on attending school in the fall, so my summer will be free! i’m available for drop ins, house sitting, walks, and doggy baths! Following instructions that accommodate the owners pet has never been an issue for me. I have dog and cat sat many times and know everyone has their own parenting preferences; whether that be crating a dog at night, timely feedings, or medications needed. I strive to care for your animals as if they are my own :)
About: I’ve always grown up in a home where pets were part of the family. Dogs, especially, have been a constant in my life, and I truly believe they’re some of the most loyal and loving companions we could ask for. Over the years, I’ve cared for my own dogs, dog-sat for friends and family, and had the unique experience of caring for working dog teams while living in Alaska. These experiences have taught me that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs—and I love getting to know them and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I have experience caring for senior dogs and administering oral medications, and I’m comfortable following specific care instructions and maintaining your pet’s normal routine while you’re away. My goal is simple: to care for your pets with the same patience, attention, and affection I would want for my own. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pets in someone else’s care, and I’ll do everything I can to give you peace of mind while they’re with me. 🐶❤️ I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable, attentive care throughout the week. I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine and make sure they get plenty of love, attention, exercise, and care while you’re away. I’ll treat your pets like family and keep you updated so you can have peace of mind while they’re in my care. I currently work from home, so I'm available whenever your dog needs or wants to go outside! I don't currently have any dog toys for your pup to play with, but if you would like to bring their own, I would love to play with them! Feel free to bring whatever you think your dog might need throughout their stay.
About: I have been officially pet sitting for about 3 years but I have had many animals since I was a little girl. I am a veterinary technician and have been for 4.5 years so I am no stranger to administering medications and even giving insulin to pets. I currently have 3 cats and a dog. I work full time (off Tuesdays and I work one Saturday a month) so if your pets are not comfortable being home alone for 4-5 hours then I am not the right fit for you. If your pet loves to cuddle I am all for it! I have no problem with being covered in fur. If you have a specific regiment for your fur babies I will be glad to follow all instructions and specifics; I very much appreciate lists and written instructions. I love taking fur babies for pup cups especially! (If allowed of course)

About: I had a large sized dog for most of my life and grew up with her from the age of a puppy until she passed away my freshman year of high school to old age. She was a pit/lab mix and I loved running with her, cuddling when she was tired, and even allowing her to "play" with me while I do yoga. I have so much love for animals, as I believe they are true reciprocates of unconditional love. I would love to spend time with your animals while you need them cared for. I have cared for many more pets than I have reviews you can see some of the doggos in my photos :) I am extremely compassionate and really like to provide that space for an animal to feel safe and welcome in my company. I like to build a relationship with animals and eventually find a language of communication where we seem to “get” each other.
“Amy was great with our senior dog and took great care of the house while we were away for a long weekend. We came home to a happy pup and the house was spotless. Her communication throughout the trip was great - we will absolutely be using Amy again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wiley
Kasper was great with Molly. She sent photos every day and even found soothing music along with aquarium video to relax Molly when she was away. Our return flight was delayed twice and she stayed later than originally planned. Kasper even sent us a text to make sure we made it home. She went above and beyond. Thank you Kasper. We will definitely be using her again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 1,861 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wiley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wiley walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wiley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wiley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wiley. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
