About: Greetings! My name is Colleen. I’m new to Rover, but my daughter has had a successful Rover business for 4 years in Alaska. I recently visited my daughter and while I was there I had the privilege to join her on some of her dog walks and found it to be a true pleasure, and therapeutic, to meet her clients, love on and walk their pets. What a great experience! I have had pets and farm animals most of my life, and raised my children with animals being treated as family members (probably why my daughter is loving her business with Rover). As you can tell I live in Florida (not Alaska lol). Many years ago I was a foster home for a dog rescue. I have been involved in youth programs that taught kids how to raise pigs and show them at local county fairs. I retired from a 20 year career in healthcare 4 years ago. Since then I’ve been helping with a family business and caring for disabled family members navigating our healthcare system. About: I’ve been around dogs and cats all my life. I was a zookeeper for 8 wonderful years so I am comfortable caring for all kinds of animals, big or small. Cats are my specialty. I do work Monday-Friday, so I’m only available for drop-ins on the weekends. Depending on the needs of the dog or cat, I can provide house sitting throughout the week and on weekends. About: I had a large sized dog for most of my life and grew up with her from the age of a puppy until she passed away my freshman year of high school to old age. She was a pit/lab mix and I loved running with her, cuddling when she was tired, and even allowing her to "play" with me while I do yoga. I have so much love for animals, as I believe they are true reciprocates of unconditional love. I would love to spend time with your animals while you need them cared for. I am an opera singer and voice teacher. Finally, I guess a special skill would be I love relaxation techniques such as yoga, music, sound healing etc, and animals are so attuned to these activities that I could even provide a healing experience for your pet :) Currently available any time. About: I have worked at a Pets R Us Albuquerque NM, I have a GSP and I love him. I reserch everything on animals to make them feel better and to understand them more. I am always home, housewife duties with 2 children that love animals. Will have plenty of time to care for them and make them feel welcome and cuddle with them. I can crate the dogs if needed.
