“Marlena is fabulous, extremely professional and truly cares about the quality of her work. She updated me with each visit with adorable pics of my two digs and played with them for an extended period of time when it rained too hard for them to go on a walk. She even brought in packages that were at my doorstep and straightened the house. Marlena is a keeper and my pups are excited to have her as their caretaker!!”

“Alaya and Lily were wonderful! We needed someone to stop by to let our dogs out and feed them while we were at our wedding and they took such great care of them. We accidentally locked the door on our way out and I wasn’t responsive on my phone (I was busy walking down the aisle!) and they figured out a plan b to get the dogs without my help. Such a relief! I also got lots of picture updates which put me at ease :)”

“I had a wonderful experience with Molly! She was caring, reliable, and attentive. I felt completely comfortable knowing my pup was in such good hands. She kept me updated with photos and messages, and my dog was happy and relaxed when I got home. I highly recommend Molly to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving person to care for their pet!”

About: I’m located near the shore and often work with visitors who want dependable, attentive care for their dog while they’re enjoying the beach or local restaurants. I have a 6-month-old Cavapoo named Louie who absolutely loves other dogs, and I make sure every dog in my care feels comfortable, safe, and part of the routine Pet care is built into my daily routine. I’m home consistently throughout the day, so I’m able to maintain regular feeding, potty, and activity schedules. I prioritize structure and consistency to make sure each dog feels comfortable and settled, whether they’re here for a few hours or a longer stay. I focus on creating a calm, consistent environment so dogs feel comfortable right away. In my home, I keep a structured routine with regular potty breaks, walks, feeding, and downtime, along with supervised play—especially with my puppy, Louie, who loves other dogs. I have a fenced in yard that the pups love to play in. In a client’s home, I stick closely to their dog’s normal routine and preferences to keep things familiar and stress-free. I’m very attentive to behavior and adjust as needed, and I always keep owners updated.
“Bridget was great with my 2 cats! My one cat, Finn doesn't always do great with eating while I'm away so I usually check him with my Ring. That unfortunately didn't work so well with spotty phone coverage in Europe. I did get through to Bridget once and she assured me that all was well. The kitchen was clean and the trash was taken out. Thanks Bridget!”

“Our pups were very well cared for by Mary! We’d recommend her to anyone. The communication was great and we always enjoy getting pix of our pups while we’re away. We’ll definitely be using Mary again in the future!”

About: I’ve had animals my whole life I love to pet , brush & play with all kinds. A nice long walk is always needed or just some playtime. I’m a stay at home mom of all adult children who also love all kinds of animals. I’m available any time of day or night.I spend most of the summer away so my availability will be based on what type of care is needed. I have a large fenced in yard ( when watching pups in my Bucks county Pa home) for them to run and play in or I'm available to go to your home for feeding, walks & check ins. We are a dog & cat friendly home.

About: I have been around dogs all my life, mostly big mutts, and actively caring for the family dog since the age of 10. I trained my parents last 2 labradors (always a fun breed). I have elderly dog experience both with a big malamute/shepherd mix and a diaper wearing rat terrier. So I am used to the individualized care that different dogs need. On the fun side of things, long walks, fetch and tug o war are my specialities! I can groom, bathe, give medications, play, walk, run, snuggle, scratch and provide whatever care you prescribe for your favorite family member! I currently work from home with a flexible schedule so I can run on your schedule. If dog sitting, I only need an couple hours in the afternoon to walk my parents dog. If your pup enjoys other dogs and you are comfortable with it they can come along too. My own 3 year old dog is walked at least 4 times a day. He is a lab so he enjoys long walks and trips to the beach, bay, hiking trails, and dog park. I make sure he gets tug of war time and he loves my cats laser pointer. We keep him supplied with dry food at all times because he does not overeat. He gets wet food once a week and an ample supply of people food whenever anyone is in the kitchen. But this is just how my family cares for our pups. I will strive to interrupt your dog's normal routine as little as possible.
“Dylan is a great guy & dog lover. Stella loves him already. He's friendly, & goes the extra mile. I hope he's always available as I couldn't have made a better choice!! Thanks Dylan!!”

“Kenzie took great care of our two cats while we were away. Even though they are fearful of new people and did not interact much, Kenzie stayed for the whole time to try and coax them out to say hello. She sent photos every day and did exactly as we asked and then some! Will definitely use Kenzie again when we go out of town.”

“Peggy was my first experience using Rover. We met prior to the contractual time. She was personable, kind, and very animal proactive. In addition to our conversation and required pet info on Rover, I left her a detailed 2 page instruction list. Everything was followed to the letter. I came home to find my cats well-cared for and happy. My home was in good order. Peggy sent pics each day which was very kind and reassuring. Can’t say enough good things about the experience. Highly recommended!!!”

About: I have always been a big animal lover! Growing up, I was the go to caretaker for friend’s and family’s pets when they went away! My schedule is flexible so I’d be happy to make room for walking or checking in on your pets! I usually go on two walks each day, so I would love to have company. I grew up spending summers in Wildwood and Cape May so I am very familiar with the area, and your dog will be safe walking with me!

Amanda was fantastic with both of our dogs. One of them is very nervous with new people and Amanda worked with him every visit. By the end of the visits the two of them were best friends! Amanda was very communicative throughout every visit and the pictures and videos showed how much the dogs enjoyed her coming over. We will definitely reaching out to Amanda again for future bookings!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
