Caroline has taken care of my bull terrier twice this month, conducting drop-in visits. The purpose of these visits is to give my dog a chance to eat/bathroom while I'm working really long days (weekend events). Time slots are usually flexible, as long as he gets outside at reasonable intervals. And I definitely needed someone reliable and experienced to make sure he was well-taken care of. Caroline has done a great job, both weekends. She communicates when she is stopping by, when she leaves, and how he did. She's been punctual and did everything I requested - food, medicine, kongs, bathroom breaks, etc. and fills out a nice summary on the app to let you know how everything went. I actually look forward to the reports throughout the day! My BT is a foster-to-adopt situation and has been re-homed a few times for various reasons (mostly behavioral issues). He's been a tough case, but has succeeded with me for the last 5-6 months and I plan on keeping him. Though some would say he's special needs, I would say he is mostly a normal dog with the potential to over-do it with his emotions (mostly happiness turned into extreme playtime or just not knowing when to stop); he just needs someone strong who knows how to handle dogs with a few quirky flaws and he's fine. That being said, I wouldn't leave him with just anyone. I can tell Caroline has a strong background in animals, particularly dogs and handled Bread with no problem. She asked the right questions upon meet/greet, was very attentive to details, and I felt great about my choice. I don't 100% trust Bread will do just anything one might ask of him and he's smart enough to try and out-smart you. So, someone with Caroline's experience was necessary. Half the time the sitter flakes or pretends to show up all times you needed, but never did. You can trust Caroline to give you an honest, worry-free experience. Whenever I'm in Cape May and need a drop-in, she's my first call.

About: I’ve always grown up with pets, and I have always loved caring for all animals. From friends to family, I’ve done it all in caring for them I can take of all pets during the days. I work mostly nights, so I would be able to watch your pets while you are out at work all day I’d feed your pet, walk them let them do their business outside. Even multiple times a day if needed, can take them to vet appointments, I’m free almost every morning since I work nights

About: I have dog sat for other people before and I absolutely love animals. I have 5 of my own animals that I love with all of my heart. One of them is a puppy right now. I have experienced little dogs, medium dogs, bigger dogs and puppies. I’ve learned a lot through my own trial and error early on with my own dogs. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am currently working part time and I have time in my day to make sure your pet has all the love and attention it needs. Since I have 5 dogs it would preferably have to be in the clients home especially the first few times so I would be able to connect with the dog.

About: I have had animals for as long as I can remember! From lovebirds and bunnies to crazy cats and 150 lb dogs! I have fostered dogs through the SPCA, training a puppy to prepare for a family and caring for an old man who needed some extra love. I have my own cat, and have since I was 17! There is nothing I know or do better than care for animals! I have off all mornings! I am down the shore for the summer, having to leave my animals behind, and am in desperate need of some animal loving! I plan to be extremely respectful of the home and animals space. I would follow any and all instructions to a T and try and make the place look better than when I arrived!

How much better can it get? Our four cate vary from snuggy to aggestive nasty, and Mary makes friends with all four. Previous sitters have never seen 1 or 2 of them over 2+ weeks. They are all comfortable with Mary, and we will book her again for our next trip in November. SHE IS BEST our 4 cats say.

About: I've taken care of animals for neighbors, family, and friends for some time. I am reliable and flexible with schedules to accommodate early mornings or late nights. I'm currently part time with a flexible schedule and happy to fit anything I can into it. Just reach out to me and we can discuss the circumstances. I have a fenced yard and a friendly small 40lb labradoodle, with lots of space to sprawl and nap inside the house as well. I live in a neighborhood and have space to take dogs on long or short walks.

About: I have had my first dog since I was eleven years old, and I have had my second dog for two years. Since I have had experience with taking care of pets for so long, I am confident in my dog walking and sitting abilities. I also have experience with both smaller and bigger dogs with different energy levels because my older dog is a yorkie and my second dog is a Siberian Husky that my family rescued. Therefore, I understand the difference in pet personalities and how to handle them. I am currently employed, however, I am still available during most weekdays and weekends for dog/cat sitting and dog walking during the day and at night. I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect as I would want for my own. I am sure to give every pet attention, exercise, and adhere to the pet's usual routine.

About: I have taken care of both of my family dogs and our cat for around 10 years now. I have also cared for family friend's animals when they were away walking, feeding, and watching them. I am currently in school full time but have plenty of time throughout the week, as well as weekends, to care for all of your pets! I will not take more than one dog at a time for a walk if requested so that it is guaranteed there will be no issues with other dogs.

About: I have been taking care of pets (and kids!) for the past 10+ years. I am reliable, trustworthy, and love puppy cuddles. I am looking forward to meeting your fur babies! I currently have full availability as I am home for the summer. I plan to continue to pet sit for the remainder of the year! I am available to care for your fur babies in your home but unfortunately cannot care for them in my own home. I always plan a meet and greet before accepting any bookings.

Sicilia (Sisi) took excellent care of our super picky, very shy cat, Luna! She was communicative, provided detailed updates, and sent lots of photos. She was extremely patient with our sassy but sweet princess, and made sure Luna had all the things she needed while we were gone. It definitely made us feel more comfortable leaving to know that Luna was in great hands! We will definitely have Sisi back the next time we need someone to watch Luna!

Caroline was great with our kitty Nala! She checked in with me after every visit on how Nala was doing with photos. I really appreciate Caroline because I was not worried for our kitty because she was being taken care of without a doubt. Thank you Caroline. We will be in touch in the future.

As of July 2026, there are 549 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across North Cape May. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a North Cape May stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in North Cape May. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
