“Our shy dog, Chance, had a wonderful stay with Kimmie and her dogs! She was patient and loving with him. He enjoyed the time with her dogs, too! It was fun and reassuring to receive information and pics of him throughout his stay. Next time I need to leave him, I’ll definitely choose Kimmie again!”

About: I’ve had furbabies of every size and breeds since I was a child. Horses, dogs, cats and other large mammals. Never met an animal that doesn’t love me. The feelings are mutual. I am retired, and love fur babies to keep me company and help me stay active. I do require animals be vaccinated and spade/neutered. Not taking cats due to allergies. I have a fenced yard, room to roam, a small furbaby of my own. Furbabies can be crated or sleep where they choose. Always indoor at night.
“Kara is my dog’s second favorite human, even though I have a fiance at home who he lives with and has known since he was 10 months old! Haha! We love her and we recommend her to anyone we meet because we know she will love them as if they were hers.”

“This was my first time using Rover. Couldn't have asked for a smoother process. Taryn took my two pups in on a last minute boarding request, and took great care of them. She even bathed them prior to pick up! We will definitely be using them again for future bookings.”
“Mel & Co. are magic. My dogs came home happy, joyful, and clearly celebrated—not just cared for. Her home brings out the very best in them. They’re now completely conked out, the satisfied kind of tired that only comes after a true Disneyland-level stay. I’d book with Mel for a fourth time without hesitation. Highest recommendation.”

“Megan took wonderful care of my dog! She is super friendly, communicative, and was flexible with pick up and drop off times. You can tell she genuinely cares about your pet. He got daily morning walks and I received super cute pics of him every day. I would 100% use Megan again!”

About: As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to leave your pets with someone who will care for them like family. I have experience with dogs of different ages, sizes, and energy levels—from playful puppies to sweet senior pups who just want a slower-paced walk and extra cuddles. All my family members and friends rely on me when they are needing their dog to be in safe hands. My goal is to make your pet feel at home and give you peace of mind while you're away. I can't wait to meet you and your four-legged family member! I currently work part-time, which means I'm home for most of the day and have plenty of time to give your dog the attention they deserve. Whether it's walks, playtime, potty breaks, or just relaxing together, your pup will have lots of love, companionship, and care throughout their stay. Your pet will be staying in a loving home with two friendly indoor dogs—one is a sweet senior, and the other is a playful four-year-old. They have free roam of the house and plenty of cozy beds for naps throughout the day. I also have a fully fenced backyard where your dog can safely explore and play. All potty breaks are supervised, and your pup will never feel alone—they'll always have me and my two dogs around for company, companionship, and lots of love.
About: I grew up having always at least two dogs at a time. I raised a few puppies my self, which are now very well behaved and the most loving dogs. Growing up, we were breeding grate Danes, what makes me very experienced with large dogs. I am honest, reliable and caring. Every dog needs a different kind of attention, and I will get to know your dog very well and give him the attention and exercise he/she needs. At the moment, I have two dogs myself, Lucy and Rue, both Australian stumpy tail cattle dogs with tons of energy. Hire me and your dog will be a happy and relaxed dog when you come back from your trip! My availability is pretty flexible - so just hit me up and let me know what your needs are, I can make most schedules work. I have a fenced yard but am a big advocate for long walks around the neighborhood! Inside the house I’ll provide individual care - every pet is different!

“We were so happy to find Clarissa. We left town with confidence that our dog was in wonderful hands and would be cared for well. This was our first time using the service and I would be happy to call on Clarissa to care for our dog again.”

“This review is a little tardy but well worth writing. Like most fur babies owners we are overly concerned with the wellbeing and safety of our babies. Farin had our babies this past weekend and she delivered what she promised. Photos multiple times during the day were sent to us. I could tell my babies were being well taken care and having fun! They came home happy and exhausted from their little vacation away from us. I highly recommend Farin to provide care for your fur babies!!”

“Ashlee is truly the best! She’s watched my dog Alfie several times before, but this time I was gone for two full weeks—and I couldn’t have felt more at ease knowing he was in her care. She kept me updated constantly with photos and videos, which meant so much while I was away. Alfie absolutely loves her, and it’s clear she treats him like her own. I always know he’s in loving, capable hands when he’s with Ashlee. Highly, highly recommend!”

“I have boarded my dog 3 times with Casey, every time my GSD has been happy, got along with her dogs and other dogs, has learned to use the doggie door to get outside to backyard easily and I have felt really comfortable leaving my dog there. Overall, everything went great, I think Casey is a natural dog lady.”

About: I have cared for dogs for many years. I can walk, feed, and play with dogs of different sizes and personalities. I will treat your pet like my own and make sure they feel safe and loved. It's a large part of my daily routine. I have three dogs, all different breeds, which means I take care of them differently because of their different personalities. I have a part-time job; however I work a maximum of 6 hours and I am free before and after work. Right now, I don't offer in-home care at my residence; however, when caring for a client's pet, their safety is my priority. I make sure fences and doors are secure and pay close attention to any illnesses or special needs.
“Patty and her family were very receptive to Ivy and they offered a warm and inviting environment. Ivy, who is a companion animal is excitable in new environments but this did not seem to be a problem for Patty and her family. We are very happy and will not hesitate to book her again.”

“Highly recommend Barbara. She was so great with our pup, very kind and comforting- took wonderful care of him. She was great about communicating and sent photos, he always looked happy! Your animal would be in excellent care with her.”

“Kendra was amazing! She watched my almost two year old dog who is very hyper and also watched my parents 9 year old dog for a week during thanksgiving. She kept us up to date and also sent many videos of them having so much fun. We will definitely be using her anytime we go out of town. I’m pretty sure my dog didn’t want to leave! They were definitely spoiled by Kendra! Thank you again so much! It’s nice to not have to worry at all while we were gone!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Wildflower home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Wildflower.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Wildflower sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
