“This guy knows everything, has ample different facilities to give the dogs an enriching vacation, whatever their specific needs. I'll be going out of my way to come back next time”

“Was able to accommodate a last minute request. My dog was calm and nothing was amiss (medical needs dog). Great communication! 2nd time I’ve used Audra and will continue to use for further boarding stays :-)”

“Jennifer is amazing and treats your pet like a member of the family! She loves and understands dogs. I know my Cooper is loved and well cared for when she is with Jennifer. I highly recommend her!”

“This review is a little tardy but well worth writing. Like most fur babies owners we are overly concerned with the wellbeing and safety of our babies. Farin had our babies this past weekend and she delivered what she promised. Photos multiple times during the day were sent to us. I could tell my babies were being well taken care and having fun! They came home happy and exhausted from their little vacation away from us. I highly recommend Farin to provide care for your fur babies!!”

“Reza was incredibly attentive and took exceptional care of Kiara. He went above and beyond. We received daily video updates of her happily zooming around in his spacious yard. Reza was always responsive and even celebrated her first birthday with two pup cups!! :) Kiara and I recommend his services.”

“To be honest I was nervous leaving my Lovie with a stranger but the way Samuel presented himself from start to finish was like dropping Lovie off to a family member for the night..as long as Samuel is providing his services I will never leave Lovie with someone else!! Lovie and myself THANK U VERY MUCH!!”

About: My family has had multiple dogs at all times throughout my life. I never had to beg my parents to get me a puppy because we already had two! We used to live out in the country, so my daily chores involved cleaning up after the dogs, feeding them, walking them, and bathing them. When I got home from school? I was outside playing with the dogs, going swimming with them, running them around until they slept through the whole night. My experience with dogs is primarily with medium to large breeds. I especially excel with the bigger, stockier breeds. I have two pit bulls and one German shepherd currently (which is why I can't board). I love playing with big dogs (or any dog)!
“My dog was on vacation while I was on vacation! Tru did an amazing job taking care of my pup while I was away. I felt very confident my dog was safe and loved while in her care. She was very communicative- sent a lot of videos and pictures. Her doggie and mine looked like the bestiest of besties in all the photos. My dog says he really enjoyed the pets, cuddles and running at full speed in the fenced back yard. Would book again 100%.”

“This was my first time boarding with Derek. I needed someone to care for my 2 dogs over weekend. After some preliminary messenging, he agreed to board my dogs. After meeting him in person, I was confident he was a good choice. Derek loves dogs and has decades of experience in caring for them. My dogs were happy at Derek's house and woruldn't hesitate to have him board them again.”

“Kendra was just amazing!! She has a great house that has so much space. She sent me videos and pictures everyday. Riley (my dog) made so many friends! I was so comfortable leaving my boy with her and she showed him so much love! She has been the best sitter I’ve had!! I highly recommend and will use her again!”

“Elizabeth was really great with my dog Ace. She sent me daily pictures and videos and gave a full in depth debrief at the end of the weekend. She definitely made me feel super comfortable with leaving him with her, especially because it was my first time using her. 10/10.”

“Jocelyn was great with Arlo. He tends to be a little shy and quiet with new people but he made himself at home with her and her family right away. She checked with me before feeding him a treat to make sure it was ok that he had it and sent me cute pictures to show me he was doing good. As long as she’s available I will make sure to rebook her because I know he will be safe and loved. So happy we found her 😊🐾”

“My 1st time using the Rover app. I wanted someone close by and after looking at others I went with Manuel G. He kept me informed of my dogs progress and texted pictures. Manuel followed my feeding schedule each day she was there. My dog is very laid back and chills on the floor or couch. This past 4th of July he kept my dog calm when she would get scared of the fireworks around the neighborhood. When I picked up my dog she acted the same way as if she were home. I recommend Manuel G to watch your pets. I will rebook with him again when I go on another trip because I know my dog will be well taken care of.”

About: Hello, my name is Zoey and I am 22 years old. A little bit about me is I love children and pets alike and will treat both the same. I’m aspiring to become an elementary school teacher and I have a 6 year old daughter and a 10 month old babygirl! I have always been around animals growing up, I had 6 dogs in my house growing up and my grandma was a crazy cat lady who constantly had strays hanging around. I have one cat named Mainfluff who is as gentle as a baby but he mostly stays outside. I also have a male golden retriever pup named Moose and a female doberman pup named Ash! I will love your pet (s) as if they were my own! I am a mother to a 6 year old girl and a 10 month old babygirl. “This was my first time using Rover and I’m glad I chose Brittney. She did a wonderful job easing all my worries and took great care of my pup. Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Bowles home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Bowles.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Bowles sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
