“Kimmie and Victor took excellent care of our rambunctious and sweet girl, Maya. They have cared for Maya twice now, and through pictures and Maya’s behavior afterwards, I know she’s having a great time! We did a meet and greet ahead of time to make sure Maya got along well with their dogs, and fortunately, they did. I loved seeing videos of all the dogs chasing each other around their large yard. Looking forward to booking with them again!”

“It was so nice knowing my pups were in good hands with Davisha. She sent so many videos and photos throughout their stay. They came home worn out and happy from getting to play with other pups all week!”

“Elizabeth did a great job taking care of my cat and keeping me informed during her stay. Based on the photos she sent, my kitty had a great time and was well taken care of. Would definitely use again.”

“My babies were well taken care of and settled in nicely. I received alot of video and picture updates on their stay! I am so thankful for the care my two pups received. Kelly is amazing! I would definitely recommend her services and hope to book with her again.”
About: I’ve had furbabies of every size and breeds since I was a child. Horses, dogs, cats and other large mammals. Never met an animal that doesn’t love me. The feelings are mutual. I am retired, and love fur babies to keep me company and help me stay active. I do require animals be vaccinated and spade/neutered. Not taking cats due to allergies. I have a fenced yard, room to roam, a small furbaby of my own. Furbabies can be crated or sleep where they choose. Always indoor at night.

“Kadyn took excellent care of my pup! I was a little worried leaving him with a new sitter, as he can be quite anxious, but Kadyn kept me updated and provided lots of photos. I will definitely be booking with her again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Our dogs, Lulu and Zumi, had such a good time with Yetta and her sons! We left them over the weekend and I was a little anxious because Lulu takes different medication multiple times a day. Yetta was really good about sending pictures and updates so I felt confident and comfortable with them there. If we ever go out of town again, we will definitely be contacting her again!”

“Took excellent care of our Macey Moo. Excellent daily video updates that had an obvious amount of love and care poured into them. Pupper came home happy and well cared for. Absolutely satisfied and we’ll be using Trinity moving forward!”

“Mel was absolutely amazing! Was so great with communicating with me while we were on our trip and made Maggie feel right at home! We will absolutely be using her services any and every time we go out of town or on vacation!”

About: I grew up having always at least two dogs at a time. I raised a few puppies my self, which are now very well behaved and the most loving dogs. Growing up, we were breeding grate Danes, what makes me very experienced with large dogs. I am honest, reliable and caring. Every dog needs a different kind of attention, and I will get to know your dog very well and give him the attention and exercise he/she needs. At the moment, I have two dogs myself, Lucy and Rue, both Australian stumpy tail cattle dogs with tons of energy. Hire me and your dog will be a happy and relaxed dog when you come back from your trip! My availability is pretty flexible - so just hit me up and let me know what your needs are, I can make most schedules work. I have a fenced yard but am a big advocate for long walks around the neighborhood! Inside the house I’ll provide individual care - every pet is different!
“I am greatful for Olivia. She was very sweet to interact with as a client and she was even more kinder to Goldie ! She’s patient and understanding and quick to try to solve a problem if an issue shall present itself. I’d love to use her services again.”

“Kara was an amazing sitter. She took great care of our dog Spot who needed a break from our long road trip. She sent us updates everything day and always communicated effectively. We highly recommend Kara as a sitter.”

“Veronica did a great job taking care of our two dogs for three days! She was caring, dependable, and kept us updated while we were away. Our dogs were happy and well cared for when we returned. We would definitely recommend Veronica and will use her again!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Clint home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Clint.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Clint sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
