“I am so thankful I gave Rover a try. Desiree was outstanding. She dropped in as scheduled, provided pictures and even cleaned a little mess the dogs made. Thank you Rover and thank you Desiree I will definitely use you again.”

About: I've always been the number one person people call to take care of their animals! I'm naturally active so playing, going on walks or playing fetch is never cut short. I am not afraid of cleaning up after animals whether it be litter boxes, baths, brushing, tooth brushing, nail clipping or cleaning up the lawn. I am a soon to be college student and am available in the mornings and afternoons until 8pm. I am not afraid of early mornings if I need to take care of your animals before the sun rises. Weekends have complete open availability! I have a fenced yard for when I take care of other people's dogs but always keep an eye on them. For my cats, I clean their litter box at least once a day or twice if needed and watch their water intake to avoid kidney issues. For any animal, I ensure they're well-groomed and I monitor any behaviors that could indicate a health concern. Any animal will be well played with to keep them engaged and minimize late night zoomies.
“Jasmin's life long love of dogs, and deep insight into their nature, showed from the start. She did a wonderful job helping me understand my puppy, shared invaluable training skills, and eased my first time puppy mama fears. Levi was immediately at ease with her, and loved playing with her. I was totally confident leaving him in her hands. I give Jasmin the highest recommendation. Any puppy or dog would be blessed to be under her care.”

About: Hi Everyone! My name is Arianna, I recently moved to Hanford. Little about me, is that I grew up raising rabbits. I am a respectful pet sitter. I adore all animals no matter how big or small! I am responsible, and trustworthy individual who is here to love and care for your pet :) Currently I do not have a job, which allows me to have open availability. With this availability I will have more time to meet and love your pets! If your pet is young, old, big or small you can rest assure I will make sure they feel safe, comfortable and extremely loved. I will follow their feeding schedule, give them playtime and exercise all while keeping their environment clean. When caring for a pet in their own home, I will follow instructions carefully and treat the home with respect.
About: Hello, my name is Zoey and I am 22 years old. A little bit about me is I love children and pets alike and will treat both the same. I’m aspiring to become an elementary school teacher and I have a 6 year old daughter and a 10 month old babygirl! I have always been around animals growing up, I had 6 dogs in my house growing up and my grandma was a crazy cat lady who constantly had strays hanging around. I have one cat named Mainfluff who is as gentle as a baby but he mostly stays outside. I also have a male golden retriever pup named Moose and a female doberman pup named Ash! I will love your pet (s) as if they were my own! I am a mother to a 6 year old girl and a 10 month old babygirl. I work at a school so I leave the house at around 7:30 a.m most days and get home around 3-4 p.m. My husband works full time but has about 2 days off each week so those days he’d be home all day. I love animals and based on your pet and their needs, I will adapt to meet them. I am completely okay with walks, outside time, park visits, car rides, baths, etc. I will play with them as much as you or they want and I am perfectly fine with cuddling on them as if they were mine!

About: I currently have 4 dogs of my own, all rescues. One of mine has special needs. I also take care of family/neighbor pets when needed, big or small. I am currently a new educator and love spending all my free time with animals. I am an early bird and get my pups their exercise and fed by 5 am. I have created a safe space and schedule for my pups along with any dogs I get to take care of. Having a dog and one with special needs comes with love, patience, and lots of rubs!

About: What sets me apart as a sitter is the level of care, attention, and adaptability I bring to every pet I look after. I treat each animal like they’re my own, which means taking the time to understand their personality, routine, and specific needs so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I currently work fulltime but weekends I am fully available! I love animals and always have since I was little. Growing up we’ve always have had dogs and cats. I have a fenced yard and we have plenty of room for the dogs to run around. I do also have a pug that is 6 years old but he is super friendly.
“Mary Elizabeth was fantastic! I really felt like Mary Elizabeth gave my dog a lot of attention and exercise, my dog was so happy when I got home!! She helped resolve any concerns I had throughout our stay and was extremely communicative!”

About: I've been a pet sitter for more than a decade. I am thoroughly proficient with puppies and high energy dogs, such as Golden Retrievers. I enjoy looking after and creating connections with pets and their owners alike. I have open availability to care for your pets! I am currently on the job hunt, and I am pursuing pet setting as a side opportunity. I believe that the best care is around the clock supervision, and clear/concise communication with pet owners. I am always keeping the pets under my care stimulated and enjoying our time together.
“Lolita is very good with our boy, Gunner. He seems comfortable and responds well to her. She is definitely going to be someone we look to the future with. Time will tell whether she wants to continue caring for him. Thank you, Lolita.”

About: I grew up in a big family with a bunch of pets. We had dogs, cats, chickens, even bunnies. I’ve taken care of fur babies up until they were grown 🐕 Your babies are safe with me🐶 I have had way too much free time lately, I thought what better way to occupy it than with a fur baby by my side I live in a gated apartment neighborhood. I can provide frequent potty breaks, walks, as well as time outside if preferred. I do have a safe and minimalist home with everything your fur baby would need. Extra bowls, toys, etc.
About: I've personally had dogs since the age of 5. All of my dogs have been huge dogs over 90 pounds! I love all pets. I dog sit quite often, anywhere from 6 weeks to 10 years old. I have dealt with a lot of accidents that I totally do not mind picking up. If your dog needs a little more attention and activity that's even better for me! I currently am doing clovis community college online and I stay at home with my 3 big dogs. They love to go swimming so they do that everyday, especially cause it's too hot to walk them right now! I will almost never leave your pet unattended, which means they will be watched for however long you need me there. Hopefully that gets them to stay out of trouble.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
