Amelia took such great care of our dogs. She sent photos while we were away and was so good with all 3 dogs. She stayed in touch and asked questions when she needed to. She braved the downpour of rain to make sure the dogs went outside. Amelia was awesome and so respectful with our home, and I could tell she took care of our dogs and they enjoyed her company. We highly recommend Amelia to take care of your babies 🥰!

Carol did an excellent job with our critters and house sitting. She sent pictures and updates. She was prompt to reply. We really appreciated the flexibility of Carol to work with our schedules. Our senior pup has eye problems. Carol came by twice before the booking to meet everyone and make sure all was good with the senior gal and her eye drop routine. I would recommend Carol to others and will use her in the future.

About: I’ve been caring for pets for most of my life, helping friends, family, and neighbors with walking, feeding, bathing, and providing companionship. I’m very attentive, patient, and gentle, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving owners peace of mind. I work full time on campus, which gives me a consistent schedule along with flexibility during lunch breaks and in the evenings. This allows me to provide reliable care, check-ins, walks, and quality time with pets. I’m also available on weekends and communicate clearly to coordinate schedules that work best for you and your pet. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. I’m attentive, calm, and reliable, and I make sure pets are well cared for during visits, walks, and evenings. I respect your home, follow instructions closely, and communicate regularly so you feel confident your pet is in safe hands.

Julie made our trip so much easier knowing we left Max in caring, capable hands. He always sulks when we leave & doesn’t eat well but it only took a day before he was eating well. Our house was clean and had been well taken care of. We will definitely use Julie again and have already recommended her to several friends.

Madison was quick to respond to my request for a home sitter. She was kind, personable, and my dog appeared to connect with her quickly. She was helpful in answering questions while we were away and kept me updated a few times while we were away. She took care of my dogs medical needs while we were away. She offered to strip the bed she slept in and took the trash out before our return home. Upon our return home, I mentioned her name in conversation with a family member and my dog was quick to turn his head as if he knew who I was talking about which tells me he connected very well with her. I recommend using Madison as a home sitter.

About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was in high school (many moons ago) and I love ALL animals. I also have three pets of my own and will treat your pet as if it were mine! I’ve cared for cats, dogs, hamsters, parakeets, and fish. All pets welcome 🤗 My attention to detail, goal-oriented personality, and reliability will help you feel at ease while you’re away. I’m currently a stay at home mom looking to keep busy this summer so there’s lots of flexibility to care for your babies! We have two dachshunds who take a while to warm up to other dogs (especially big dogs) so I do prefer to watch your pets in the comfort of your own home but if needed, I can also keep my dogs separated in order to care for your pet in my home. We have a large fenced in yard and many areas in our neighborhood to go on walks! Your pets must be good with other dogs/cats and children as we have two kids. Our kids love animals and treat all animals with respect.

About: I have over 10 years of pet-sitting experience and have cared for dogs and cats of all ages, from young puppies to senior pets. I send owners videos and pictures as daily updates. I pet-sat throughout the summer for international students and families traveling for extended periods, providing feeding, exercise, playtime, medication administration when needed, and companionship. I am attentive to animal behavior and can often recognize when a pet is uncomfortable, stressed, in pain, or needs additional care. My goal is to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I am retired and have a flexible schedule, so I’m able to spend a lot of quality time with the pets in my care. I enjoy giving them plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day. I keep a regular routine and usually walk dogs up to four times a day: first thing in the morning, around noon, before dinner, and again before bedtime. I’m available for house sitting, drop-in visits, and pet care on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Because I live in an apartment, I focus on house sitting and caring for pets in their own familiar environment. I follow each pet’s routine closely and pay attention to their behavior, comfort, and well-being. My goal is to provide reliable care, companionship, and peace of mind while owners are away.

About: I’ve always loved being around animals and, since I can’t have my own dog while I’m in college, I love any opportunity to spend time with them. I’m going into my senior year at Texas A&M in the Mays Business School and have a flexible schedule this summer in the Bryan–College Station area. I have 8 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and pets of all sizes, ages, and personalities. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, play with, and care for their pets like they’re my own. From energetic puppies to older dogs, I always make sure pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I have a flexible schedule with plenty of time for pet care. I’m available most weekdays and weekends for drop-in visits, and I always make sure pets get consistent, timely care. I always prioritize your pet’s safety and comfort. I carefully follow all instructions, keep a close eye on pets during visits, and make sure they feel secure and relaxed. I respect your home and keep everything clean, and I’m happy to send regular updates and photos so you feel at ease while you’re away.

About: I have owned multiple breeds of dogs my entire life! I have a lot of experience working with my blue heeler/collie mix, and we have even taken an obedience course! I used to do competitive dog shows in 4H with my heeler as well. I have house sat multiple times. I have taken care of dogs such as labs, rotties, and I even have done farm chores for people while they are away. I currently care for two cats of my own and understand feeding schedules, litter maintenance, medication administration, and the importance of respecting each cat’s personality and boundaries. I grew up in 4H and have cared for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, show hogs, cattle, horses, chickens, ducks, and other farm animals. I understand that every animal has different needs and personalities, and I strive to make them feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I currently work here in town as a legal assistant. My current schedule allows for flexibility during evenings and weekends. In addition, I have reliable transportation. I am very eager to accommodate all kinds of pet owners! I have given both cats and dogs medications, and have cared for both young and old animals. I can clean up after dogs and scoop litter boxes, and other tasks that involve keeping a client’s home clean and safe! I really value reading an animal’s body language and making sure to treat them with the upmost respect.

Kelsey was a great sitter for my dogs! She fed them as scheduled, played with the dogs as I’m sure they demanded, and even let the dogs sleep with her. Kelsey sent photos to me of the dogs playing. She communicated with me at least once each day. She also verified that I had gotten home when expected. I have complete trust and confidence in Kelsey. Alexis was fantastic. The trip was somewhat last minute, and she was extremely quick in her response time and came over to meet the dog and cat in a most convenient way. During our trip she was great with communications and went so far as providing our adult children with updates, videos and description of activities in abundance. She made everyone in the family feel better about the trip and I cannot say enough good things about her attention to details, work ethic and communication skills. My only selfish complanate is the standoffish dog seemed to miss her. While that is a little ego crushing for me, I think it is a very positive reflection of her personality and love for the animals in her charge. I hope we have the opportunity to work with her again. She was great.

FAQs for House Sitting - Wicker

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Wicker on Rover is $39.96 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of June 2026, there are 297 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wicker. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wicker walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wicker maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wicker choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wicker. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
