“Fantastic experience with Steven! Very prompt in communication and I could tell he genuinely loves dogs. Mochi was happy during his time with them. Highly recommend”

“Dayana was a great dogsitter to our puppy Honey. She sent pictures and videos throughout the day of Honey having fun and being taken on walks, and she was very nice and communicative. I will definitely be reaching back out for more dog sitting with Dayana!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs in my home my entire life, so caring for dogs has always been a big part of who I am and I truly love spending time with them! I have experience walking, feeding, playing with, and caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities. I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your dog, so I treat every pup like they’re my own. Whether your dog is staying with me for the day or just needs a walk, I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and, of course, lots of love and cuddles! I’m dependable, patient, and attentive, and I’m always happy to follow your dog’s normal routine and any specific instructions you provide. My goal is for both you and your pup to feel comfortable, safe, and happy while they’re in my care! 🐾 I currently have a very flexible schedule and am available for pet care throughout the week! I’m happy to provide daytime care, walks, drop-ins, and plenty of attention throughout the day. As a teacher, my schedule may change once the school year begins, but I plan to continue offering pet care before and after school, in the evenings, and on weekends. I’m flexible and happy to work with you to find a routine that works best for your pet! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine, feeding schedule, walking preferences, and any specific instructions you provide. When caring for dogs in my home, I’ll make sure they have a comfortable, safe environment with plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and opportunities to relax. I’m also happy to accommodate crates, special routines, or other needs to help your dog feel as comfortable and at home as possible.
“Bola boarded my pup overnight and she was great. She's knowledgeable, loving and caring in her interaction with me and my fur buddy. We look forward to using her services again in the near future.”

About: Having my own dog, I know first hand that dogs are precious family members who need a lot of love and care and, and each dog had different needs. I have had my own dog for 3 years and previously cared for many of my friends’ and relatives’ dogs. I have training experience having gone through classes with my own dog. I am excited to meet new dogs and make sure they are happy and healthy while in my care! I currently work from home and I can be flexible throughout the day Mon-Thurs , but evenings or early mornings work best for me. I can also be flexible on Fridays and weekends. I have a friendly dog who likes to play but also understands when other dogs need space. I can crate my dog or set up the baby gate to keep them separated if needed.
“Rachel was amazing. I received so many pictures. My pup was well taken care of. I would recommend Rachel to anyone who wants a safe comfortable animal lover to care for their pets.”

About: I grew up in a multi pet home and learned to walk, train and groom pets from a young age. I cared for the last family dog through her medically tedious senior years. Through college I pet sat and walked for friends and family. For 2 years I worked for a veterinary clinic, although my job was marketing I often was asked to assist with holding and monitoring patients. When I became a pet owner I adopted puppies raising them through potty and crate training. I am proud to say they continue to be healthy and happy. Now we foster and pet sit dogs of all ages and sizes because of the dog friendly environment we’ve created at home. My success in pet lies with gaining the pets trust. I approach them slowly and go at their pace, sitting and waiting on the ground if necessary. I am pet sitting and walking full time so I have plenty of time to dedicate to my clients! Dogs are typically walked and out between 7am and 9pm. I have a fully fenced yard with ample room for running and playing. There are four resident dogs who are friendly and used to guests. We can crate your pup or have them sleep in a bed or in bed with me. Water is available at all times through a 2 gallon water dispenser.
“Iman is the absolute best. She has really been a blessing to Gigi and I, there aren’t enough good things to say about her, and I always see that my Gigi is well taken care of when I arrive to pick her up. Thank you Iman, 😊❤️”

“Isabelle was awesome with Coco! She was super communicative with sending updates and really paid attention to Coco's cues, which is really important to me. Coco warmed up to her immediately and I felt very comfortable leaving her in Isabella's hands!”

“Isabel was wonderful with Piper! She was incredibly responsive and communicative, sent us lots of photos throughout the weekend, and was so flexible and easy to work with. Most importantly, we could tell Piper was treated with so much love and care. Isabel’s Bernese Mountain Dog was super friendly, and the two dogs got along great! We felt completely comfortable having Piper in her care and would absolutely love to use Isabel’s dog-sitting services again. Highly recommend!”

“Anna was an amazing dog sitter! She sent us great pictures and updates throughout the day, was very communicative, and Moose seemed to have an amazing time with her! 10/10 would use her again!”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
