About: I grew up in a multi pet home and learned to walk, train and groom pets from a young age. I cared for the last family dog through her medically tedious senior years. Through college I pet sat and walked for friends and family. For 2 years I worked for a veterinary clinic, although my job was marketing I often was asked to assist with holding and monitoring patients. When I became a pet owner I adopted puppies raising them through potty and crate training. I am proud to say they continue to be healthy and happy. Now we foster and pet sit dogs of all ages and sizes because of the dog friendly environment we’ve created at home. My success in pet lies with gaining the pets trust. I approach them slowly and go at their pace, sitting and waiting on the ground if necessary. I am pet sitting and walking full time so I have plenty of time to dedicate to my clients! Dogs are typically walked and out between 7am and 9pm. I have a fully fenced yard with ample room for running and playing. There are four resident dogs who are friendly and used to guests. About: I've been a professional pet sitter since 2001. Currently my wife and I own a home in South Chicago, although most of my clients live in Hyde Park. I've been taking care of dogs in the Hyde Park area since college. I went to the University of Chicago. After school I managed a West Loop Doggie Daycare and Kennel. I am available pretty much most days for house sitting and walking. I text back very quickly so just ask and I’ll let you know right away! I have a fenced in back yard, no pets in the house and if you’re comfortable pets are allowed on the furniture. About: I live in Whiting with my dog Louie (beagle / dachshund / terrier and cat Jasmine. Prior I had been living with my brother and sister-in-law, and they're dog Stella, pit bull / rottweiler / labrador). I had been home the most out of the three of us, and so I had taken on primarily caring for and training her, as well as my Louie. Those two dogs are on opposite ends of the spectrum. Louie being a lot more low key, and Stella being high energy. My cat Jasmine is a bit of a playful introvert. She loves to be brushed and chase her mouse toys. I'm gentle and patient with animals. I ensure my dogs' harnesses are properly fitted and abstain from using any tugging/pulling on walks.
