“I was sooooo nervous about leaving our Strudel while traveling to Europe. But I’m so happy we found Elliott! He was very responsive, clean, and seemed to understand my little anxieties about leaving her. I’d highly recommend him!”

About: Over the years l've taken care of dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes! My friends and family have relied on me to walk and care for their fur babies. A couple years ago I adopted a dog of my own, Buddy :). He is a dachshund mix who loves to go on walks. He loves to chase the squirrels, and I bet yours does also. Excited to meet you and your fur baby or babies! I normally walk my dachshund about three times a day. Normally we go on a long walk in the morning around 8/8:30, and then sometime in the afternoon have another long walk, and then a short walk in the evening. Some days we will go on hikes to experience new smells and new experiences. At my home I ensure that my dog’s water bowl is always full and everything is out of reach. On walks we spend extra time sniffing around, my dachshund loves squirrels for some reason. I want any animal that comes into my home to feel safe.
About: My name is Camille and I’ve been a pet lover and pet owner my entire life. I grew up caring for both dogs and cats, and caring for these kind souls brings meaning to my life. I am here to accommodate your pet’s specific needs and strive to give my all to your soul animal. I am also a highly active person who loves to hike and walk, happy to take your pet on adventures with lots of chances to snif, run, and play. Aside from being a part-time barista at Higher Grounds Coffee in Traverse City, caring for animals is my favorite way to spend my time. My schedule is very flexible and subject to change. I prefer to care for pet’s at the owner’s home, but live in a fenced in yard with a dog of my own in the case that daytime care is needed.
“Madison was very friendly and communicative, and I felt confident that my cat, Chloe, was under great care while we were away. I will definitely book with Madison again in the future!”

“Megan is excellent!!! I was able to go on vacation and not stress about my cats being well cared for. I appreciate the photos each visit to have peace of mind that they are doing well. I would for sure use Megan again for future pet sitting. She is reliable, friendly and did an excellent job with drop in visits for our 3 cats! We appreciate you so much Megan!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Whitewater
We couldn’t be happier with the care Sara Q provided while we were away. She came every single day—even in heavy snow—to make sure our cats were well cared for and comfortable. Her dedication truly went above and beyond. Sara took care of everything: feeding and caring for our cats, bringing in our mail, and watering our plants. She was extremely informative and communicative, always letting us know if anyone came by the house or if there were any happenings we should be aware of. That level of transparency gave us real peace of mind. Her professionalism, thoroughness, and attention to detail really stood out. It’s clear she has excellent knowledge of cat care and genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. We came home to happy cats and a well-kept home. We highly recommend Sara Q and would absolutely trust her again in the future!

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
