“This was our first time using Rover, and it is nerve wracking leaving your fur baby with a stranger. Rachael however put all worries to ease. She’s friendly, a great communicator, and we felt confident our pup was in great hands. We’ll definitely book with her again!”

“First time our 5 year old mini daushound spent at a sitters Sophie had a great time! Lisa is attentive to her needs and interested in Sophie being welcomed into her home. Thank you so much for sharing your home with Miss Sophie. Sophie will be coming to visit again.”

“Allison did a wonderful job taking care of our dog, Lucy. She and Dave have a large fenced-in yard and took Lucy on several walks. She was excellent at communicating, including sending photos and videos. Will definitely hVd her board Lucy again!”

“Dan was very easy to coordinate given my logistics were a moving target. If you have a senior & friendly dog Dan is a gem! He’s patient and kind and his Senior dogs are lovely and welcoming to both humans and new canines! I highly recommend Dan!”

“Heather was an amazing sitter, very accommodating, and took extra care to get to know Noodles before the booking. Communication was prompt, and while I was on my trip, she sent the sweetest pictures/videos and updates. Overall, Noodles had a great time and received top-tier care. I would definitely recommend Heather when you need a sitter for your fur baby.”

“After testing a stay with a local kennel, I booked Cheyenne after the first meeting. When I dropped him off he was not stressed and when I picked him up he was not stressed (like he was from the overnight kennel test). My dog is a lil needed and needs medication twice a day for seizures. I can tell Cheyenne treated my dog well as if he was hers. First couple of days a waway, i text to check on him. Cheyenne provided daily photots and ensured me he was in good hands and to enjoy my vacation. Fully recommend her and I would use her again, if my dog wasn't too much trouble, lol. Thank you Cheyenne ?”

“Angela took great care of our dogs while we were away. She sent pictures to update us on how much fun they were having. Booking and communication with her was very seamless. We will definitely consider her again if needing boarding while in the area!”

“Olivia took our dog last minute and was so sweet and kind! She communicated well and sent us multiple pictures and updates during the week. Would definitely use her again!”

“Peter did an amazing job! He sent pictures and took my pup on multiple walks! He was super flexible on pickup and drop off times too! We will be using him again for sure!”

“Stephanie and Scott took terrific care of our senior pup, Luna. They were loving caregivers and clearly did all they could to make Luna comfortable and to love on and play with her. We received multiple updates and photos every day. We are most happy to have found this home away from home for her, and will definitely be bringing her back!”

“Truly one of the best sitters I’ve ever had. She sent me tons of pictures, kept me updated, helped me in a jam. Such a kind, awesome human and obviously a huge true dog lover. Great house for dogs, outdoor space, she’s very responsible. I trusted her to give my senior dog her medicine and I know my dog had a blast because she slept the whole next day. 1000/10 sitter. BEST!”

“I reached out to Megan as a last minute booking for our two pups. She was able to take them and was even flexible when car trouble made us very late. She sent photos and updates of them while she had them which helped me feel better. Bella and Strawberry, both under 25 lbs, made themselves at home with 100+lb doggies. Bella is still young and had lots of fun playing with the big doggies. She’s also escaped from our house a couple times. Megan’s yard is very secure. I highly recommend Megan to take care of your pups!!!”

About: I have grown up with both cats and dogs, and then when I was able to I had two large breeds of my own for many years. Currently, we have a 2-yr old Bernese mountain dog and an older cat at home. I’m a teacher with a very open availability during summer and would love to fill it with taking care of your dogs - any breed but happy to provide confidence for high energy larger breeds. I’m a full-time teacher, so if you’re booking during the summer my availability is pretty widely open to meet your pets needs. If it’s during the school year, the weekends are there for loving your pet. I love to walk and exercise and am happy to take your dog for long walks as needed. Alternatively if they’re at my house, they can play with our Bernese Mountain Dog in the backyard for endless hours! Our yard is fenced in and the gates are always locked.
“Sally was absolutely phenomenal!!! We truly couldn’t have asked for anyone better to watch our pups. She was so easy to communicate with, and even sent us picture updates throughout the weekend of how each of our two dogs were doing. We have a black lab and a Maltese and her home was perfect for them both. It meant a lot to us to know that our dogs were being well taken care of while we were away for the weekend! We will absolutely be contacting Sally again in the future for any dog sitting needs.”

“GusGus definitely gives Coleen 5 stars, and so do I! Our little rescue guy spent 4 days with Coleen and her husband and was happy and relaxed the entire time. He got lots of cuddles, walks and care. It was our first time with Coleen and surely will not be the last. The communication was clear, the atmosphere warm and friendly and the loving care was evident.”

“Lorretta was wonderful! She was so communicative, sent lots of pictures and made sure my pup was safe and happy. She made sure our dog ate his meals, took him on plenty of walks, and included him in her day to day activities. We were visiting from out of state for a family reunion and were unable to have our dog stay with us. She was so accommodating and let us stop by multiple times to take our dog on day trips. Finding Lorretta allowed us to have our pup be apart of our vacation which was so important to us. We will 100% be using her in future years when visiting Traverse City!”

“Nicole was wonderfully detailed and attentive to our cat Charlie while we were away on our honeymoon. She went above and beyond to care for little things around the house. We are comforted knowing Charlie was cared by someone who understands cats quirks! Thank you, Nicole - we will be thinking of you again.”

“Nicole communicated well with me. She was dependable and arrived when she was scheduled to. She took time to interact with Cinnamon to earn her trust. Would definitely recommend her and use her again.”
“Marissa did great with my cat, Titus! She dropped in two days in a row while I was gone for the weekend, and noticed he was having some difficulties with “number 2”. I really appreciated her effort in trying to get him cleaned up, especially because he was giving her a hard time. I was so impressed with her communication and dedication in taking care of my cat!”

About: I’m a reliable and easygoing cat and dog sitter who really likes being around animals, especially cats. I’ve had both for over 10 years, so I’m used to their different personalities and how they act. I know cats need a calm and comfortable space, and I make sure they feel safe and relaxed while you’re away. I also have caregiving experience, which has helped me be patient and responsible. I’m happy to take dogs on walks and play with them too, but I always make sure every pet is well taken care of. “Hunter was AMAZING! Fiona (our dog) thought so as well! Hunter's fast and professional communication was immediate and throughout our time with him. He was flexible and extremely helpful to our family. Thank you so much Hunter!!”

About: I’ve loved and cared for cats since I was young and grey up with a family cat. Living and caring for a cat taught me the importance of respecting each pet’s unique personality, routine, and comfort level. I understand that cats prefer consistency and can be sensitive to changes in their environment. Whether your cat is social and playful, or more reserved, I’m happy to provide care tailored to their needs. During drop in visits, I’ll make sure they have fresh food and water, a clean litter box, playtime and companionship if they want it, and attention to help them feel comfortable while you’re away! My goal is to make you and your cat feel safe and well cared for in the comfort of yalls home. :)

“Bob was wonderful with my Molly Girl!! She had a great time. Bob took her for multiple walks, kept in touch with me the whole day, and sent me pictures to show how Molly was doing. Would highly recommend Bob for anyone who has dog needs in the Traverse City area!”

“Sally was very welcoming to our two dogs. She communicated with us well and we appreciate having our dogs well taken care of while we toured the area. Would take them to Sally again!”

“We hired Brooklyn for 2 days of doggy daycare as we were camping in the area and wanted to do some long distance trails that our senior pup can no longer manage. Brooklyn was quick to communicate and was extremely responsive from the moment we inquired about her watching our dog. She did a wonderful job, sent us photos and when we picked up our dog she was busy playing with Brooklyn that she didn't even want to come home with us. Brooklyn was great and we appreciate her helping us out so we could enjoy all the wonderful trails in the area. If Brooklyn is still in the area when we come to the area next year I will make sure to check with Brooklyn first to see if she's available for watching our dog!”

About: Coming from a background of puppy breeders, I have more then enough knowledge in not just caring for pets but understanding them as well. I have a genuine love for all animals, and have grown up with dogs, cats, farm animals and everything in between. Animals adore my company and high energy and the time I take to ensure they’re safe, fed, comfortable and have had plenty of time for exercise. When it comes to animal care I am definitely the person pet owners would seek out! Pet care works into my schedule in many ways! Essentially I’m available any day or time as I own a snow removal company and am really only busy on the days it snows more then 3” which for me is typically one to two days a week (maybe). How I take care of my puppy, well my dog is served food twice a day about 2 cups of dog food. She is my buisness partner as I work alone, so she rides shot gun everywhere I go when plowing. We have an underground fence although she has been very well trained that she wouldn’t run off even without a collar. My dog can sit, bow, lay down, roll over and I’ve trained her to off leash walk. Everywhere I go I am complimented on how well minded she is. And as a black lab shepherd mix that’s impressive considering the level of engergy she has. In my clients home I will tend to my clients specific instructions as I know every owner to puppy relationship is defferent. I will care for their animal just as they would. And ensure a easy going, safe, and happy environment for the best sitting experience possible.
About: Animals have always had a special place in my heart. I’m naturally nurturing and currently in school pursuing a career in nursing, so caring for others comes naturally to me. Since I was young, I’ve had a strong connection with animals and enjoy building bonds with pets of all ages and personalities. I’ve trained my pets and I currently have a cat and a dog of my own. My dream is to one day have a farm filled with animals! Spending time with pets is something I truly love. I would be honored to care for your furry family members and provide them with plenty of love, attention, and companionship while you're away. I am available Monday through Sunday various times and for overnight stays if needed. I am in the TC area until the end of August. I am happy to work with a family and all your needs for care. I always keep a pet's safety and care as my number one priority. My kitty and dog are my world, and I would treat other animals the same way I treat my own. I would be sure to keep them fed. loved and nurtured while they are in my care.
About: I have been around animals since a very young age. I grew up having to care for my dogs, cats, horses, cows, and sheep! I participated in 4-H for 10 years showing both cattle and sheep. Throughout high school and college I worked at a doggy day care, that cared for both cats and dogs, either for day visits or overnight stays. I was responsible for making sure the animals were as comfortable as possible. This involved cleaning their kennels daily, feeding, and medications. Later, I worked as a veterinary assistant for 6 months. I have house/dog and cat sat for various friends and family members throughout the years as well. I am very flexible! I am more than happy to stay at your home while pet sitting or simply come by to care for the pet a couple times a day. Open to working with you to figure out the best solution for your pet. Unfortunately my current lease does not allow pets. I am more than happy to work with you and figure out a schedule/plan that would fit your needs! While I am at a clients house I would stay in good communication with them. In the past, I have sent daily pet photos to the client and sending them updates whenever possible.
About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have hands on experience for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities! Growing up, my mom trained dogs professionally, which gave me early experience to dog behavior and proper pet care. Throughout high school, I regularly helped care for up to 10 dogs at a time, assisting with daily routines, exercise, feeding, and general care. I also grew up with a cat, and have always loved spending time with cats just as much as dogs. I understand that every pet has their own personality and comfort level, and I strive to make them feel safe and comfortable in yalls home. During college, I worked as a nanny for a family and was responsible for walking and caring for their two Great Danes. This experience gave me great confidence in handling larger breeds, and reminded me how important it is to be consistent and reliable. I bring responsibility, attention to detail, and genuine care to every pet I work with. Whether it’s a walk, a drop in visit, or overnight care, I will treat your pet just like family and provide you with updates, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I work full time Monday through Friday from 8AM-5PM at the Community Mental Health in downtown Traverse City, but have some flexibility. I am available for dog walks and drop in visits for an hour any time between 12PM-2PM during the week. I am available from 5:30PM-11 PM Monday-Friday, and have open availability on Saturdays and Sundays. Your pets safety and comfort are my top priorities. I understand that inviting someone into your home and trusting them with a beloved family member is a big decision, and I take it seriously. When caring for pets in their own home, I strive to keep their normal routine as closely as possible. Whether that means feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication routines, or just spending quality time together, I know that consistency helps pets feel secure and comfortable while their parents are away. I am always respectful of clients’ homes and will always follow care instructions carefully. I pay close attention to detail, keep doors and gates secure, monitor pets, and communicate promptly if any concerns arise. My goal is to give you and your pet a stress free experience and peace of mind that comes from knowing they are being care for by someone dependable, attentive, and genuinely invested in their wellbeing. Every pet deserves patience, kindness, and individualized care.
“Grace has been great with my almost 6 month old puppy Scout! She makes sure he gets the playtime he needs in the middle of the day. Grace is very trustworthy and would recommend her for watching your furry animals!”

About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for both dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I’ve helped neighbors, friends, and family with walking, feeding, bathing, and general pet care. I’m very patient, reliable, and attentive to each pet’s needs, and I genuinely love spending time with animals. Whether it’s an energetic dog or a more independent cat, I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I’m a student with a flexible summer schedule, so I’m able to give pets lots of attention and care. I’m available most days and can work around my class and work schedule, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings depending on the day. I’m happy to be flexible and communicate to find times that work best for you and your pet. I always prioritize your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine. I’m very attentive and make sure to follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications if needed, and any specific care preferences. I create a calm and safe environment and take the time to make sure each pet feels comfortable and secure, whether in your home or during walks.
About: I’ve owned and cared for my own pets since I was 10. Taking care of animals is my main passion. I used to work at a dog boarding kennel and was in the FFA at the career tech center for a year in high school, where I raised baby sheep and grew chickens. I am currently studying to be a zoologist where I hope to go into a career of taking care of animals! I own many pets myself, so I care for them daily and once a week I do a deep clean of all their cages, tanks and enclosures. Caring for animals is part of my daily life routine. I am attentive and have always been good at understanding what animals need/ want. I will never leave ur pets side unless they want alone time. I can play for hours with your puppy or just sit and cuddle your cat or dog. I really enjoy being around animals so it’s a treat just to meet new furry friends.

About: I have been fostering for almost 13 years and have taken care of cats, dogs and horses growing up my whole life. I am familiar with giving meds and special needs for dogs and cats as well. I have dobermans so I understand high energy dogs! I am working part time to spend more time with my kids and dogs and my kids also love new companions we take in and care for. I have just been wanting to care for more animals in my area. I have a fenced in yard and 2 dobermans and a doberdoodle. They are all dog and kid friendly. My dogs are vetted and up to date on everything. My dobermans are the reason I started fostering as they love new friends! My doberdoodle was my foster fail that I love dearly. I do have a couple kennels but if your dog does better with no kennel I do that as well!
About: I have been a pet owner my entire life. I love pets of every kind. Working with cats and dogs on training for many years. Experienced with giving medication. I work part time so I have lots of availability to help with your pets. I can visit before or after I have work. And it helps that I am available on most weekends! I have a dog and 2 cats and they are spoiled. Rotten. I have gotten my dog lots of extra training and I work with my animals all the time. So they're always tired out by the time it's bedtime and everyone gets to sleep.
“Jennifer is amazing! She went way above and beyond to make sure that my nervous, timid dog got to know her and was comfortable with her. She was very kind and loving to my dog, on time, and very professional. I got plenty of pictures and updates so I didn't have to worry about anything. I'm so glad that my first experience using Rover or a dog walker service went so well. I'm really happy and highly recommend Jennifer.”

About: With over 10 years of experience in dog walking, dog sitting, and house sitting, I’ve had the joy of building lasting relationships with pets and their people. I’ve worked with dogs of all ages and temperaments—from energetic puppies to slow-moving seniors, rescues with trauma histories, high-anxiety pups, and velcro dogs who thrive with extra attention and reassurance. I also have hands-on experience with a wide variety of breeds, including Chihuahuas, Australian Cattle Dogs, Huskies, German Shepherds, Labradors, Pit Bulls, Dobermans, Rottweilers, and plenty of lovable mixed breeds. Whether your dog is small and shy, big and strong, or somewhere in between, I adapt my care to meet their individual needs, energy levels, and personalities. Since starting on Rover this summer, I’ve completed multiple house sitting and dog sitting gigs, both short and extended stays. This includes week-long stays for two different clients—one with two dogs and another with one—and several short-term boarding stays in my home earlier in the season. (Note: I’m currently not offering boarding, but I do offer house sitting, dog walking, and drop-in care!) In the past, I spent six years caring for a client’s dog while they traveled annually to Peru, staying in their home for about two weeks each year. During those visits, I handled daily walks, feeding, and plant care. I’ve also provided weekly dog walks for a client with two dogs, and many of my clients include plant care as part of my services while they’re away. My clients appreciate that: 🕒 I’m self-employed and work from home, so I have a very flexible schedule and can offer more one-on-one time and consistent care. 🐾 I don’t have any pets of my own, so I’m a great match for dogs who don’t do well around other animals or need a calm, focused environment. 🐕🦺 I’m active and outdoorsy, so I love taking dogs on multiple daily walks, hikes, lake adventures, dog park trips, or whatever their favorite activities are. 🧸 I also love to spoil dogs with attention, treats (with permission), and pup cups! I’m great at following your dog’s regular routine to help them feel safe and comfortable in your absence. I also offer regular photo updates so you can stay connected while you're away. Whether you need someone to keep your pup active during the day, provide loving in-home overnight care, or water your plants while caring for your dog—I’m here to provide reliable, personalized, and compassionate care. As a self-employed professional with a flexible, work-from-home schedule, I’m able to dedicate plenty of time and attention to your pup. I make your pet’s care a priority—whether that means sticking to a specific routine, accommodating special needs, or providing extra enrichment throughout the day. I’m happy to work with you to create a personalized care plan that fits your dog’s unique personality and lifestyle. I also offer long-term and recurring services for clients looking for reliable, consistent support and peace of mind. When caring for pets—whether in your home or mine—safety is always my top priority. I carefully check the space for potential hazards, make sure doors and gates are secure, and keep anything dangerous out of reach. Your pet will always be in a safe, supervised, and comfortable environment. Trust is essential in building strong relationships with both pets and their people. I have years of hands-on experience, glowing reviews, and a long list of happy clients who regularly refer me—all of which reflect my dedication and consistency. I also pride myself on being a clear and responsive communicator, so you’ll always be in the loop with regular updates, photos, and honest check-ins. When I’m in your home, I treat it with the utmost care and respect. I follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible—whether that means walks, feedings, playtime, or quiet time in their favorite spot. I make sure they always have access to food, fresh water, and a cozy, clean place to rest. My goal is to keep your pet happy, relaxed, and feeling at home—even when you're not there.

“This was our first time using Rover, and it is nerve wracking leaving your fur baby with a stranger. Rachael however put all worries to ease. She’s friendly, a great communicator, and we felt confident our pup was in great hands. We’ll definitely book with her again!”

“Jill is amazing! She has watched Copper now twice and I love her! She sends lots of pictures and is quick to answer when I send a message. I will use her whenever I need a sitter.”

About: I’ve had my own dog since I was 13, and have always had a dog since. My dog is my baby! One of my favorite pastimes is walking my dogs. I currently have 2 dogs. Fresh water always, lots of love, and good quality food/treats and getting outside for potty breaks are so important to me. I work full time day shift during the week. Weekends and evenings are free for me! I would love to drop in and take care of your pet while your away! Pets like their routines and I am totally respectful of that. I can accommodate their particular needs to keep them safe, happy and well cared for!
About: I started my pet care journey as a dog walker at age 9, and have found great joy in pet sitting over the years. I’ve cared for pets of all sizes, ages and personalities, and now specialize in in-home boarding where your pets are treated like part of our family. My home offers fenced acreage for safe, supervised running and play, along with structured walks and trail runs for those who need a little extra. After playtime, there’s always a warm bed, or a cozy spot on the couch, waiting for naps and snuggles. With degrees in Wildlife Biology and Zoology, I bring not only a deep love for animals but also a professional understanding of their behavior, needs, and well-being. Whether your pet is energetic and adventurous or prefers quiet companionship, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I split my regular work schedule with 3 wfh days each week. We are an early rising family who enjoy spending time on our homestead. We have several resident pets on the farm: 20 sheep, 2 mini donkeys, chickens and one beloved mutt. Our regular routine involves a 1 mi walk in the am and pm with lots of other opportunities throughout the day for supervised fresh air or playtime in one of our fenced 1 acre pastures. Safe and secure, a ball lovers paradise! I’m comfortable treating your pet as my own with specialized treatment or care as needed. We have 2 respectful preteen boys in the household so kid friendly dogs are an absolute must.
“Timber enjoyed his stay with Maggie! The temps were cold, but Maggie still took him on a walk and ensured he had the right amount of time inside and outside. She was attentive to his curious temperament and showed him a lot of attention. I highly recommend Maggie and we’ll book in the future.”
