About: My friends and family call me Tom Care-a-lot, Tom the Mom, and The Dog Whisperer. I am often told I am too nice, but sometimes kindness and patience can be what someone needs to be a good caregiver. I have worked at East Memphis Pet Hospital & Resort as a Daycare and Kennel worker, and occasionally perform Vet Tech duties such as administering medication, which has taught me a lot about caring for multiple dogs and adapting to each dogs' individual needs. I have also worked for GoDog West Nashville and Morris Animal Inn. To be responsible for another life sometimes means that you have to be flexible, I understand if something comes up last minute, it happens; I will be as flexible as you and your dogs' needs. Your dog will be in good-hearted, caring hands while you are doing what you need to do. Your dogs and their home will be safe, you can leave it to me. I will respond to booking requests with 12-24 hours if not immediately. If something doesn’t work in my schedule I will let you know ahead of time unless there is an emergency. I work Freelance from home (remote), so my hours are flexible. I have obligations with other people and clients but I will make any booking done through the app, if they are accepted and scheduled. Failure to contact about a booking before service will result in a cancellation and YOU will be charged a cancellation fee and will take all responsibility for your pet(s). I treat them with respect, I will not hit or discipline them physically, if you instruct me to do so I will decline and cancel the stay or appointment. I do not tolerate abuse or neglect. I will clean up if they have an accident and my motto is to “leave the house roughly in the same state you came/found it in”. I will use your amenities like washer/dryer/sink/shower/dishwasher if I am staying multiple days or overnight. I will do my best to clean up after myself but I cannot conform to all expectations of perfection. Make sure there are no illegal drugs or weapons in the residence (weapons must be away and sealed in a secure location, if any are in the residence) failure to comply with this will result in an immediate cancellation and it will be on YOU.
“Sophia has been one of the best sitters I’ve had. Her communication skills are amazing and it’s clear she takes this role seriously. I did not worry once while I was away which was such a relief. I highly recommend her to everyone using Rover.”

“So fortunate to have connected with Brian. He was great with our dog and bonded quickly with him. Brian was responsive and communicated clearly. He asked great questions during the meet and greet. Throughout his care of our dog, he provided detailed updates, photos and pictures. We will absolutely be using him in the future.”

“As Callie walked up our driveway she was our Louie’s best friend. She connected with our dog, was very transparent with us. We spent time describing our dog’s behaviors, Callie was curious, knowledgeable and easy to talk to”

“Ronit is a life saver! I recently rescued a Maltipoo on 8/24, Ronit met with myself and Mia the next Saturday. We connected right away and booked! Ronit has come in twice a day to check on Mia and walk her while I work in the office. Mia loves Ronit and it’s evident in the pictures and videos documented by Ronit. Ronit is communicative and provides relevant updates on Mia. Ronit definitely has me at ease with taking care of my Mia.”

“Jake is seriously the best. He made a meet and greet with our little puppy an importance and has gone above and beyond with him. I love his constant communication, the picture updates, and how involved he is with our little boys care. He communicates about timing, ask questions, and ensures Onyx gets play time with puzzles games and fun beyond just doing the basics with him! Love love love Jake!!!”

“First time using this service and Kristina was great with my pup! She followed all my directions and kept me updated every step of the way. Couldn't ask for more! Especially because booking was last minute. Thank you so much again!”

About: a dog owner myself and living in an area surrounded by owners who I’ve helped over the years to take care either walk, stay over night, or just a cuddle buddy, I’ve worked from puppies all the way to senior puppies I work full time but my hours vary each day so I know what days work better and will be able to help anyone whenever requests assistance for their loving furry friend my dog is trained off leash, but I don’t have a fenced backyard I love at a dead end so I have a lot of space to run around if need but a big area in neighborhood for walks to the park or just in town.
“They are great! Always willing to help even with short notice, they genuinely love the animals and it shows. I’ve had their help a few times now and will likely continue to. Would 100% recommend to other people!”

About: I am a newly graduated physician assistant currently awaiting to start my full-time job, which gives me a flexible schedule for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting. I have experience caring for cats and dogs of all sizes and am comfortable with any special requests your pet may need! I am currently waiting to start my full-time job after completing graduate school, so I am super flexible for all your pet-sitting needs! I will do whatever the client requests when it comes to their pet in their home. I cannot have pets in my home at this time.
“Great service. He was prompt and extremely helpful. Did extra little tasks like bringing in the trash and watering plants … appreciated that a lot. Always sent pictures of our doggies.. The dogs loved him. Would highly recommend.”

“My dogs took to Marc right away. He was at ease with both of my big guys and sent me cute videos of them playing. Marc really likes animals and it shows on how he cares for them. Looking forward to having him back when the need arises.”

“Rebecca was awesome with our cat Artie! She sent us daily pictures and showed Artie the love and attention he needed while we were away on vacation. I would highly recommend her for any animal needs; cat or dog”

About: I am a teacher looking for something to do on weekends and the summertime! I love love dogs and cats! I have had multiple dogs and cats growing up since I was born in the 90’s. On my own I have 2 dogs and 1 cat whom I love so very much! I have taken care of family pets, neighbors pets, and other types of pets like birds! I’m a teacher. So weekends work the best! Once summer hits in mid June, then I’m available M-F, too! Since I’m a kindergarten teacher, I’m a nurturer, and a huge lover of animals. My mother donates to the ASPCA and WWF every year. I will do my absolute best to cater to the needs of your furry family members, whether dog or cat! Crates, special foods, treats, toys, or just plain quality time! I’m here for the vibes! I also would love to meet the pups or cats before the services start to see if we are a match!
“Yana took good care of our boy while we were away. I enjoyed seeing the photos she sent and hearing the updates of each visit. She communicated well while we were gone and made us feel at ease while we were gone.”

About: I grew up caring for my family's black labs my entire life. I currently own two beautiful baby Shih Tzus, Tony & Guiness with my beautiful fiancé. They add so much joy to our lives and are a big part of our growing family. I invest a lot of time and effort into training them daily, to build trust and give them the best lives possible. Taking care of the animals in my life is a passion of mine, and I treat every pet like it's my own. I'm currently making pet care my full time job. After years of training athletes, I'm opting for a career that is rewarding in different ways. I'm available any time Monday through Friday and occasionally a weekend if I'm around and if it's a good fit. My apartment complex has many areas to walk outside, with sidewalks and open grass areas where I walk my boys. There is also a spacious indoor dog park in the basement of my complex where I take them to play, especially on rainy days. We do training both indoors and on walks outside, individually and as a family. I also expose my dogs to as many experiences as possible, bringing them to community events, outdoor dining, and social gatherings. Our family does not believe in leaving pets home alone all day every day, and want to give them as much stimulation and social interaction as possible.

About: When it comes to dogs, I speak their language! #iHeartMuttz When your dogs are under my care, they will be treated as if they were mine. I will care for them just like you would and will keep you up to date frequently to keep your mind at ease. You'll be able to enjoy your time away knowing they are in the best care. About Me: I'm a huge animal lover, though my love for dogs has always been the strongest. I've always wanted to be a dog behaviorist and trainer, and have read up on what's best for dogs and their mental/physical health. The goal for my doggie clients is to have them feel at home. I have worked at Doggie Day-Care facilities, was a volunteer dog-walker at my local shelter, and cared for many dogs throughout the years. Growing up around dogs of all sizes makes me comfortable not only with any size, but with any number of them. I believe that what is best for them is consistency, rules and boundaries, sufficient mental AND physical exercise, and of course lots of love. I have two kids - 6 and 8 - who have been around all kids of doggies since they were babies. We are very active and walk in any type of weather - accommodating for each dog's needs. Does your dog need a run? No problem. A leisurely walk sound better? Sounds good to me. A romp in the yard? Let's play! I work from home and am able to care for your pup literally most of the day. Pet Care: When you place your dogs' care in my hands, rest assured that they will be happy and safe. I follow their routine as closely as possible, give them plenty of exercise, and adapt to any special needs they may have. Whether at the comfort of your own home, or at my home - where there are lots of green areas and a 1.5-mile path throughout the community - they will have a wonderful time. You will receive multiple daily updates and photos of your furry one. I require a meet-and-greet to discuss your and your pet's needs. Please note that if they stay with me, they will need to be okay with kids. If this sounds like the right fit for your dog, reach out to me! I'd love to meet with you and your furry one! I understand the importance of consistency and routine, so first I learn about your pet's daily life. I work from home and have a flexible schedule, thus allowing me to adapt to your pet's schedule and maintain their routine throughout the time they are in my care. I am in a 2nd floor condo. We have lots of green areas - our neighborhood has walking trails and is super dog friendly. Doggies can go on our couch/bed (if that's what he/she is used to! I won't start any bad habits ;) hehe), but it comes down to what your pup needs. I can certainly discuss what is best for your dog(s) and accommodate for any special needs.
“I can’t thank Brandon enough for taking such good care of my Yam! I booked 3 drop in days and boy was my pup loved and cared for! Even from the meet and greet, I knew Yam was going to be in good hands. Brandon had many questions to get to know Yam, and made sure he was comfortable. Brandon sent many pictures and updates through the app which put my mind at ease while I was away. I would highly recommend Brandon and his services!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
