9. Tom Z.
“You know how some people get along with animals better than they do with people? Those people who have bumper stickers that say, "I love my dog", or...even better, "I love my dog, it's people I'm not so sure about"? Basically, the kind of animal lover who truly believes that animals are essentially better people than people? Tom Zuback isn't one of them. If he had a bumper sticker, it would say "I love my dog, but don't worry, I could learn to like you, too." Tommy is a lover. For the purposes of Rover.com, I'm going to focus on his love of dogs. When my dog died, he checked on me several days a week for several more weeks than was required as a friend. And in speaking with him, he would ask what I missed most. He understands the relationship between people and their dogs. He was a City slicker for many years, but he did not allow that to impede his ability to be a dog lover. While his apartment would not let him keep a dog there, he was a steadfast sitter to his friends' dogs, especially to labradoodles Trevor and Spencer - for over 15 years! I've known Tommy since we were 7 years old. When I met him, and for what seemed like our entire childhood, he had Suzette. Suzette was a French poodle, and Suzette was also the friendliest poodle ever met - then and 50 years later! No doubt, Suzette was loved, and she couldn't help but be kind to others because of the love she felt at home. Never did I think twice about leaving my dogs in the care of Tommy. He's the kind of person who hears about a dog who attacked someone and whose first thought is "what was that dog going through? What happened to that dog?" - his last thought is "that dog is bad". By profession, Tommy is a photographer. While he has had the opportunity to photograph celebrities and People magazine-worthy moments, and more than once been at the right place at the right time to catch the star of the moment, if you asked him about his favorite photo gig, he'd tell you that it's the one with the dogs. I don't know the name of it, actually. How funny is that! He's been doing it for years, and it's not about the status of the event or the opportunity it presents in Tommy's mind/career. It's a fundraiser for dogs, and each year when he is called upon to be its photographer, I know I am going to get a bunch of photos with the photographer being loved by, or loving, a dog. As I write this, I'm not entirely sure who takes those photos, but all I know is that Tommy is in his element. (Side note: he must do a fantastic job photographing this dog promoting event, as he's asked back year after year.) I have zero reservations about Tommy being a friend to any dog, and I have all the confidence in the world to recommend him as a pet walker/sitter/lover. I may trust him more with a dog than with my mother. Just kidding, but hopefully you get the idea. He loves, fur or no fur, but fur is a plus. Thanks for the opportunity to recommend Tommy (Tom) Zuback.”
10. Kevin S.
“Kevin and Jill were wonderful! They welcomed Luna with kindness, and treated her as a member of their own family. Luna and their two dogs, Boxcar and Bella, became fast friends. During her stay, I received photos and texts to put me at ease that Luna was doing fine, and had made herself at home at their house. I felt confident that my furbaby was safe, happy, and being loved while I was away.”
11. Noria L.
“Noria took the time to meet up with me the day prior to make sure my dog could meet her. She took great care of her, sent me pictures throughout the day, it was easy to tell my dog didn’t want to leave upon being picked up! Highly recommend her and would gladly book again.”
12. Lina O.
“Big Mahalo Lina! Lina was professional,, punctual and incredibly friendly upon our first meet. Our pup, Nova, was drawn to her straight away and we knew she was in great hands. Lina asked us all of the right questions and was really patient as we explained some of Novas needs. This was our first time using the rover app and our first time away from our pup. We trusted Lina completely and did not have to worry one bit! Lina even sent us photos / videos of their adventures. We absolutely will be using Lina again, highly recommend her 10/10!”

About: I have a lifetime of experience caring for dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to senior dogs. Growing up, my mom was a dedicated foster parent to pregnant dogs and litters of puppies, and I was actively involved in their care. I’ve owned, fostered, and watched a variety of dog breeds, so I understand the needs of different dogs, whether they need gentle care or energetic play. Your furry friends will be in loving, experienced hands! I work from home, so there is plenty of time to take care of your furbaby. Your baby will be my priority when it is in my care. We let our furry guests stay with us in the office during the day while we work, so they can gradually get comfortable in our home. Once they’re settled in, they are free to roam wherever they please — we don’t have any ‘off-limit’ rooms. This allows them to explore and feel right at home, and we’re always around to make sure they’re happy and relaxed in their new environment.

15. Kevin & Natalie B.
“Kevin and Natalie are our go to sitters for Sonny Boy. It's hard for us to have to leave him behind when going on vacation, but Kevin and Natalie make it worry free. Sonny happily runs right to them with his tail wagging like crazy when we drop him off. They are always extremely quick to respond and keep us updated throughout our time away. I really can't imagine him being with anyone else while we're away!”

17. Mariya O
“I left my 4-year-old puddle Max several times whenever we would go on vacation, no issues, big yard is what he likes, runs around with other dogs, I would get videos and texts with updates on how he is doing. As a matter of fact, sometimes I suspect he does not want to go home. We get a vacation and he gets a vacation. I would highly recommend Mariya's dog sitting to anyone.”
18. Gaby V.
