“Per usual, Jessica is AMAZING. Ultra communicative, super responsive, and very good with all 3 of our dogs - who have wildly different personalities and needs. Jessica is awesome, 10/10.”

About: I understand animal behaviors and aspire to be a trainer eventually. While working in a boarding facility I noticed the dogs were not happy, uneasy and confused. Some wouldn't eat for days, some wouldn't go potty outside, and most would desperately look for their owners during our walks. And don't even get me started on how disarrayed the cats were. From that experience I knew I wanted to encourage pet owners if they must leave their pets, leave them at home, or in a homely environment, where they can be undividedly attended to, loved and cared for. I am a stay-at-home mother/wife, writer, artist, and animal lover with ample flexibility throughout the week. I like to plan my days at least 24 hours in advance to ensure efficiency in all my duties. Nature, nurture, and animals are part of my purpose for living I believe. Therefore, their wellbeing is what I care about. I am disciplined, forthcoming and honest, and enjoy interacting with others of similar character. Even though I play heavily with animals when they want to play with me, I also create an atmosphere of mutual respect and order, usually upon 1st introduction. This allows the pet to follow my lead and trust in me as a child would a parent.

“1000% the best housesitter and pet sitter around! If I could give more stars I would! Recommend and trust her with my babies any day. She is professional as well as an all around kind person. Will rebook for future trips, if and when they pop up.”

About: I’ve taken care of an array of dogs since I was a child. Calm, engaged, and fun dog mom. Teacher full time needing a summer gig. I currently work full time as a middle school teacher. I want something to fill my time over the summer. What better way to do it than with animals? My current dog care happens in the morning and afternoon/evening. I currently have open availability aside from a few pre-planned activities. I have a large unfenced yard. I have an older spayed female chipoo that is friendly with other dogs. She is on a set routine which includes going outside multiple times a day, meals twice a day, play time, plus more. I regularly clean the bottom, paws, face, etc. to ensure things are always fresh and clean.
“100% recommend Olivia to watch your pet! She was accommodating and communicative. She sent daily pics and videos - and even brought in our packages. Our dog got daily runs and loved her time with Olivia!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my combination of hands-on experience, patience, and genuine love for animals. I’m comfortable working with dogs and cats of all ages, and I have specific experience with both puppy training and senior pet care. I am Currently Working from home so I am readily available! I also Have pets of my own so I am used to taking care of my animals and my adopted babies( your pets) on a routine schedule! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their pet’s routine consistent. I follow all instructions exactly—feeding, medication, walking routes, crate or bedtime routines, and any training the pet is currently working on. I maintain a calm, respectful presence in the home, keep the environment tidy, and send regular updates so owners feel connected and confident that their pets are safe and happy.
“We are so thankful for Amanda! She took such great care of our elderly dog over the weekend and went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable and well cared for. Her communication was excellent, she showed up early, and he even went the extra mile by cleaning the sheets afterwards. Truly wonderful experience. We felt completely at ease knowing our pup was in such caring hands. Highly recommend!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I feel like we made a great choice hiring Dan! Dan made our first experience better by happily offering to meet the pups in advance to make sure the pet sitting weekend went smoothly. His calm energy was really reassuring, especially because one of our dogs is a bit anxious. When we got home our dogs were happy and the house was tidy. We will definitely use him again for any pet sitting needs in the future.”

About: What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give to every pet as if they were my own. I don’t just “watch” pets—I build trust with them, learn their personalities, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely happy while you’re away. I have experience working with pets of all ages and needs, including puppies who are still learning routines and senior pets who need extra patience and gentle care. I’m comfortable reinforcing basic training (like potty schedules, leash manners, and crate training) and sticking closely to any routines you’ve already established at home. For older pets, I pay close attention to mobility, medication schedules, and making sure they’re relaxed and stress-free. I structure my schedule to allow time for walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I’m intentional about not overbooking so I can give each pet the attention they deserve. In a client’s home, I’m very respectful of both the space and the pet’s environment. I keep things clean, stick to their normal routine, and make sure your pet feels secure in their familiar surroundings. If pets are in my home, they’ll have a calm, safe, and supervised environment with plenty of attention, playtime, and rest.
About: I've cared for various types of beings such as fish, both land and aquatic turtles, bunnies, birds, cats and dogs. I believe these babies love me as much I love them. I am currently on an hybrid schedule which allows me time to pursue my other passion of fur/scale baby care. I find animal beings as blessings and it brings me joy to care for them. I currently have an aquatic turtle, 3 bunnies (are kept in a indoor hutch), a cat and a dog indoors, everyone have their own spaces in the house for fun time activities. My dog is small weighing at 15lbs, loves to assist me as he is my emotional support baby..He protects his brothers and sisters fur and scaley siblings.
About: I’ve been taking care of pets for 14 years now, including my own and many friends, neighbors, and family. I work as a veterinarian. I’m willing to bathe your pets in addition to their basic needs. I know how to administer injections and other medications your pet may need. I take my currents pets out 3 times a day, and feed twice daily. I like taking them to parks once to twice a week if the owner is okay with that. I would take them out as many times as you see fit before and after class. If your pet is social they can play with my 10.5 year old and 3yr old. Both are very dog friendly and easy going. I do request them meeting outside before I bring them in. I do not believe in leaving your pets with mine while I am gone. Therefore the will be seperate when I must leave.
About: I am the one who all of my friends ask to pet sit! Because I love them and spoil them like they are my own!!!!! I work from home so i would like to add some dog walking and pet sitting into my schedule -the house needs some furry friends. I prefer to care for the pet in their environment-its less stressful for the pet. Once the pet is familiar with me then maybe that would change. I do live in an apt and do not have a yard. However there is a pet play area in our complex and plenty of walking paths.
About: With over 10+ years of experience in dog sitting and walking, I've had the privilege of working with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I love getting to know my clients and do my best to meet their expectations and requests. From helping puppies learn basic commands to providing gentle guidance for dogs, I’ve honed a skill set that focuses on positive reinforcement and building trust. Dog walking is something I truly enjoy—each walk is an opportunity to connect with dogs and give them the exercise and mental stimulation they need. What brings me the most joy, though, is giving back to my community. Helping dogs in need while fostering positive relationships with pet owners is incredibly rewarding. Being able to support families and their pets while making a positive impact on my neighborhood truly makes my work fulfilling. It’s not just about walking or training; it’s about creating a space where both dogs and their owners feel cared for and understood. I am currently working part time so, I am available to do an exceptional job walking pets. I plan on focusing on my clients needs. I have two dog houses that my family and I built, cages used when necessary and tons of play space in the yard for my dogs. I am happy to provide my dogs with the utmost best care and upkeep!
“Lanae was beyond kind to our two mini dachshunds. They have anxiety and are less than a year old, so they can be a hand full. She also stayed at our house and left everything as is. She was communicative and sent pictures often. Our two little dogs were sad to see her go. 💜 There was a small billing issue with Rover and she was quick to call and work it out. I’d 100% recommend Lanae. I could not say enough good things about her!”

“Brandi is a pet sitting gem! We have two pups with big personalities, and she was patient, reliable, and adaptable. She communicated every step of the way. She maintained professionalism but also loved them like they were her own. Yuna and Bumi hope to see Brandi again soon!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Whitehouse on Rover is $38.85 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

As of July 2026, there are 3,396 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Whitehouse. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Whitehouse walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Whitehouse maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Whitehouse choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
