“Miranda has walked my dog three days a week for one year and has had overnight stays. There aren’t enough amazing things I can say about her. She is extremely caring and goes the extra mile to work around my schedule and be flexible. There is no one I trust more to help take care of my dog. Even from my dog’s perspective, I can see through the report card photos that he enjoys being with her. I highly recommend contacting Miranda if you are in need of a dog walker or sitter!”

“Alexandra has been walking my dog for the past three months, and she has been absolutely wonderful. She is attentive, warm, and truly cares about the dogs she works with. My dog adores her! Her communication is excellent, and the photos she sends are always amazing. I couldn’t ask for a better dog walker.”

“Jessica went above and beyond for Daisy! She was so patient and understanding of our shelter dog's need for slow intros and some extra support learning to walk politely on the leash. She was super communicative and took care to follow all the instructions we gave her. We recommend her highly to anyone who needs walking/petsitting services!”

About: I have been working in animal and the dog sitting space since 2020. I have managed a range of pets from rats all the way through dogs. I have worked with sick animals before (administering diabetes shots, cleaning wounds and stitches) and am comfortable doing that moving forward. I have worked with many dogs at a time (up to three) many times in my career. I have also worked with nervous and reactive dogs as well. Overall I really have seen it all. I work a standard 9-5. That being said I work from home every other week, so depending on the week I can spend much more time in the home and provide more supervision. I love to be active so making time for walks and outside time will always be a priority. With weekends off I can spend those full days with your precious pet. I ensure that your pet is healthy, happy and comfortable. I let them become used to me and work around them. This is their space a they should feel safe there.
“My dogs LOVE Bradley. He’s been so helpful to my family and I - always showing up on time and even helping us out last minute - I cannot say enough good things about him and would highly recommend him to anyone !”

“Great communication & service. I was in a terrible predicament &;Heather was great & alleviated a lot of stress. My dog is a great judge of character & he took to Heather immediately. Highly recommend”

About: For a year, I walked my neighbor's Cavalier King Charles spaniel while she was recovering from a hip injury, until she could walk better. She and her daughter greatly appreciated my help and have said to me that their dog Cooper has been so much happier ever since he met me. I am a college student that goes to school 5 days a week from 7am to 2 pm. I can do early morning walks before 7am since I am a morning person, and I can do walks or come over after class. I am free on most weekends. I cannot bring pets into my home since I have two cats that are not very pet-friendly. But I can do all the care you need me to do at your house.
About: I have had cats and dogs my entire life, caring for them at all stages of life. My background includes daily feeding, walking, grooming, administering medications, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. I’m especially familiar with senior pet care—managing special diets, assisting with mobility, and recognizing signs of discomfort or illness. Our animals are an extended part of the family and I want to help make your pet feel safe and well cared for in your absense. Whether a older pet or a young one with lots of energy I’m dedicated to meeting each animal’s needs so you can be away worry free. I am currently retired and looking for something that will keep me active and has the flexibility for my own travel. Being retired means I can be available during the weekdays for your pets needs. Being older means I've been looking after my own animals for a lot of years I will look after your pets like I do my own whether it is taking on walks, feeding, giving meds, playtime and enrichment are important and I want you to be confident in my ability to look after your pets so you won’t worry while your away. Having used Rover as a client in the past I know that having a sitter you can trust is paramount to having a stress free time away from your pets.
About: I love animals. Having 4 pets (2 dogs and 2 cats) they are my world and are spoiled more than most. Many of my friends and family have said if anything ever happened to them they would want me to take care of their pets. They just know I want what’s best for every animal I meet and will provide the same love and care I do for my own. I have deep expertise in caring for senior dogs, puppies, and have a strong knowledge in leash reactive dogs. I make sure to dedicate the time that pets need to be happy and cared for. As a pet parent myself, I know how sticking to a routine is so important for both them and us and am here to make your time away as worry free as possible! I am available for housesittings Friday nights-Sunday at 10 am and also holidays. Nick and I work together on drop-ins and are available Thursday-Sundays to hang with your babies! 🐾 Communication about your pets’ needs and routines and behaviors is going to help me best take care of them. Having a clear plan about what our shared expectations are will create a great rover experience. Let’s meet and establish a connection before you go away to ensure your pet’s comfortability with me!
About: I've been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember, and I have experience with dogs and cats of all kinds. I have a deep respect for all animals, including those that are shy or have special needs, and I'm committed to giving every animal the care they deserve. I'm available on most weekends and holidays. I occasionally have weekdays open as my work schedule allows. I will have Fridays available for part of the summer. When introducing myself I allow the animal to approach me first, I take things slow if they're shy or nervous. I'm familiar with dog and cat body language so I can recognize signs of stress. When walking dogs I'm always aware of my surroundings and will adjust the route if I need to.
About: 🐾 I’m absolutely obsessed with cats—and honestly, that’s the biggest reason I’m here. Rover isn’t just a side thing for me… I genuinely love spending time with cats and getting to know all their unique personalities. At home, I care for three cats of my own, so I understand everything from playtime energy to quiet, independent moods. I’m also known locally as a stray cat feeder and caretaker, and I always keep cat food in my car—because you truly never know when a hungry kitty might need help. Caring for animals isn’t something I “turn on”—it’s just part of who I am every day. While cats are my specialty, I’ve recently been spending more time around dogs as well and have become increasingly comfortable and confident with them. I’m patient, attentive, and quick to adapt to different temperaments, whether your pet is energetic, shy, or somewhere in between. When you trust me with your pet, you’re getting someone who is: ✔️ Reliable & responsive ✔️ Gentle, patient, and detail-oriented ✔️ Experienced with multiple-cat households ✔️ Truly passionate about animal care I’ll treat your pet like they’re my own—with love, respect, and close attention to their needs. Whether it’s feeding, playtime, medication, or just keeping them company, I’ve got it covered. I’m also very flexible and able to travel, so feel free to reach out with whatever you need—I’m happy to make it work!! Pet care fits perfectly into my routine. I recently bought a house here in Albany, so it’s just me and my studies now — which means I have plenty of time and flexibility to devote to caring for your cats. As a law student, my classes are only on Mondays and Wednesdays, so the rest of the week I’m fully available to spend quality time making sure your cat (or cats!) get the love, attention, and care they need. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping your cat’s routine consistent and stress-free. That means fresh food and water on schedule, a clean litter box, and plenty of playtime and affection — whether that’s cuddles, brushing, or just quiet company if your cat prefers space. I always make sure to respect your home, follow your instructions closely, and send regular updates so you know your pet is happy and safe. If I’m welcoming a cat into my own home, I create a calm, cozy environment with safe spaces for them to explore or retreat to, depending on their personality. I treat every cat as if they were my own — with patience, attentiveness, and lots of love.
About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 15 years, both personally and professionally. As a lifelong dog mom, I know firsthand how much our pets mean to us—they’re family. Beyond daily walks and playtime, I have experience with administering medications, caring for senior pets, and keeping anxious pups calm and comfortable. My background as a registered nurse has made me attentive, reliable, and detail-oriented, which carries over into the way I care for animals. You can trust that your pet will not only be safe with me, but also loved, spoiled, and treated with the same patience and compassion I give my own dogs. I am currently working part time and have availability in my schedule to love and care for your pet. I have pets of my own and would love nothing more than to have clients who are comfortable knowing they will receive care that is above and beyond. I treat all pets like they are my own. I have a fenced in yard where your pet can run and play. I also have spare rooms if they need to be separated for any reason, safety being my main concern.
About: Hey, Rover friends! My name is Alex (he/they) and I absolutely love dogs. Growing up with an 85-pound yellow lab, I fell in love with these gentle giants as a kid, and volunteered at the local animal shelter during high school. I have experience with various types of training, including crate training, teaching loose-leash walking, and doing socialization work in public places. Over the past four years, I have sat for dozens of clients, both through Rover and for family and friends. I also serve as a regular dog walker for several others. I have experience with a wide variety of dog breeds and ages. From rescue mutts to the stigmatized Bully breeds, family dogs such as the Doodles, Pugs, Bulldogs, and Labrador Retriever, and herding dogs including the Corgi, Cattle Dog, Australian Shepherd, and Shetland Sheepdog, I believe that each dog has a unique personality and can thrive given the right circumstances! In the next couple of years, I hope to adopt a rescue dog myself, but right now, Rover gives me the chance to be around lots of different animals despite my busy lifestyle. I am a PhD candidate, and I work from home a good portion of the week. When I teach, I am typically gone for 4 hours at the most, so I am able to check in on dogs frequently. I am also a very active person and enjoy strolls through the park, long hikes, or easy tempo runs on local cross-country trails. For doggy daycare and boarding, I have a comfy crate that is adjustable to your pup's size, and for their safety, I typically crate them if I leave the house until we have built a relationship. I have a small fenced-in backyard which is perfect for potty breaks, fetch, and short training sessions. I live close to Washington Park, and frequently take pups on the loop around the lake. I also enjoy taking day trips to the Adirondacks and Catskills for hiking :)
About: I’ve taken care of dogs that were all sizes. Friends and family put their trust in me to watch their beloved pets for years and i’ve delivered love when taking care of them. I’m currently enrolled at SUNY University at Albany which means that I have plenty of time to help you take care of your fuzzy friends. I have a large fenced yard that your pet can run around and play in and I have toys and treats to also keep them happy.
